Chapter 74 Stealing the Weather

Therefore, in many cases, you can get a general idea of a Pokémon's strength just by looking at how well it can turn off the weather.

As a Fire-type Pokémon, Volcarona can quickly switch to Sunny Day in a Rainy environment and quickly develop a counter-attack, which is much more difficult than gaining the upper hand when both sides switch to Sunny Day at the same time.

Even Aysa, the Fire-type Gym Leader of Hoenn, wasn't confident she could wrest control of the weather from the Pokémon of Team Aqua.

That's why she was so aware of the value of the two Pokémon that Lu An was holding.
