“Brother Ningren, you have to believe me, that Espeon is definitely not simple. I even suspect it might be a professional-level Pokémon.”

"Its trainer has the potential to join the school team; you can't miss out on such talent!"

Naoko, the vice president of the battle club, was muttering to herself next to a man.

The man looked remarkably like Naoko, but strangely, he was bald.

Ning Ren helplessly touched his bald head:

"Sis, your older brother finally got back from studying in Hoenn, and instead of showing concern for his older brother, you start talking about other men the moment we meet?"

Naoko blushed:

"What are you talking about, Brother Ningren? I came all the way to the airport to pick you up."

Ningren tossed his suitcase into the trunk, got into the car, and scratched his head.

"So you mean that there was an Espeon that used a Weather Ball to defeat Kawamura's Crow Leader on a sunny day."

"Then this Espeon trainer also has a very keen eye, and he saw through the Raven's battle preferences and training preferences."

"So you think he has a lot of potential for competition, so you want to bring him into the school team, is that what you mean?"

Even though Ningren's summary was correct, Naoko still felt that something was off.

Ningren scratched his head:

"While Kawamura's premature evolution of Crowhead is quite controversial, there's one thing he actually said that's not entirely wrong,"

"Eospero's forte is Psychic moves, but it doesn't actually use Psychic powers,"

"On the contrary, using a move like the Weather Ball, which is affected by the environment and changes, does seem a bit opportunistic."

Naoko pouted and stubbornly said:

"But Lance, one of the Elite Four from Kanto, once said that being able to accurately utilize the environment to achieve the greatest results with the least amount of effort is a very valuable ability for a Pokémon Trainer."

"Even most professional trainers may not have this kind of judgment."

Ningren chuckled and vigorously ruffled Naoko's hair, making a mess of it.

“Of course I know that Mr. Watari said that.”

"But as you said, that's a judgment that most professional trainers don't necessarily possess."

Do you think a college student can be compared to a professional trainer?

Naoko was very dissatisfied with her older brother's dismissive attitude towards Lu An:

"What's wrong with you being a college student? You're talking like you're some kind of professional trainer who isn't a college student."

Ning Ren sighed helplessly, a hint of doting flashing in his eyes:

"Alright, alright, I was wrong. I know what you mean. I just got back. After I rest for a while, I'll go and meet that guy you praised to the skies."

"Let's see what he's really capable of, how he managed to bewitch my precious little sister with just one battle."

"What? What do you mean by being completely confused and deluded!"

"Hahahaha!"

The brother and sister hadn't seen each other for a long time, but there was no awkwardness between them. After chatting for a while, Naoko suddenly looked at Ningren with excitement:

"Hey bro, how was your trip to Hoenn? Did you meet the Hoenn champion?"

Faced with his sister's question, Ningren's initially enthusiastic expression suddenly turned slightly helpless:

"I did see him, but..."

"what happened?"

Ning rubbed the corner of his eye:

"Hoenn has two champions, one is Mr. Wallace and the other is Mr. Steven."

"I met both champions on this Hoenn trip."

Naoko asked in confusion, "Since you've seen both champions, why do you look so helpless?"

The helplessness in Ning Ren's eyes deepened:

"The problem is, I saw both champions, but not in Pokémon battles."

Where is that?

"I met Mr. Michael at a grand competition, where he was serving as a judge."

"As for Mr. Daigo, he hides in the cave every day. It is said that he prefers digging stones to being a champion."

As he spoke, Ningren took out his phone and found photos of Michael at the Grand Contest, as well as Daigo dressed as a miner.

"The strength of these two champions is beyond doubt, but they are both a bit too individualistic."

"It's a real shame that we didn't get to see the champion make a move on this Hoenn journey."

The regret of Ning Ren was palpable.

Hearing Ningren describe the two champions as so bizarre, Naoko covered her mouth and chuckled:

"Besides these two champions, have you also seen the Hoenn Elite Four and Gym Leaders?"

Ning Ren first shook his head, then nodded:

"The Hoenn Elite Four seem to be very busy for some reason. They are rarely seen. It seems they are looking for something."

"As for the dojo masters, I have visited several of them."

Upon hearing this, Naoko's curiosity was immediately piqued:

"The champion isn't fighting, and the Elite Four are nowhere to be seen. So, Gym Leader, you must have fought them, right? How do your strength compare to the Gym Leaders of the Kanto region?"

Ning hesitated for a moment:

"I visited the Vine Tree in Dew Town, the Cuckoo in Las Nova City, and the Maple and South in Mossdeep City. Their strength is about equal to that of the Gym Leaders in Kanto."

As Ning Ren spoke, he suddenly seemed to remember something, and his face lit up with excitement:

"Ah, and there's also Mr. Senri, who just became the Gym Leader of Petalburg City!"

"Speaking of Mr. Qianli, he is an expert in the general system, and his command of the 'Fake King' and 'Overactive Ape' is superb."

“Even someone of my skill level can see that Mr. Senri’s skill is above that of the other dojo masters.”

"I think he's not inferior to even Mr. Shiba, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Kanto."

"Furthermore, I've heard that Hoenn is currently preparing a facility called the Battle Frontier, where the leaders are all powerful beings whose strength is no less than that of Gym Leaders."

"It's just a pity that I came back and missed the chance to witness the completion of the Battle Frontier."

Naoko was somewhat surprised:

"It seems that the trainers in the Hoenn region are truly a hidden gem."

Ning Ren nodded in deep agreement:

Naoko winked at Ningren, her expression slightly mocking:

"Now that you've been studying in Hoenn for so long, are you coming back to challenge Sabrina again?"

Upon hearing Naoko's words, Ningren seemed to have a nerve touched; his fists clenched, and his eyes seemed to burn with a fierce flame.

“You’re right, Naoko, I’ve gained a lot from this trip to Hoenn.”

"I also learned a lot about superpowers from the two dojo masters, Maple and Nan, at Green Ridge Dojo."

"One of my goals in coming back this time is to challenge Headmaster Sabrina and see if my strength has improved."

Even though they were still in the car, Naoko could feel that the bald trainer next to her was burning with the passion for battle that was almost reaching the Goldenrod Gym.

"I don't mind if you want to challenge the Saffron Gym, but could you please keep an eye on our school's battle club from time to time, club president?"

"Hahaha, yes sir, Vice President!"
