I raise elves in Florian

Chapter 4 First Encounter with Frillie

"How could he possibly have escaped!"

Her parents and everyone else died at the hands of the demons, and at that time, all she wanted to do was kill them.

Looking back now, I realize how stupid I was, because I couldn't possibly beat her, otherwise she wouldn't have ended up like this.

Shi Yichen stood up unsteadily and went to the place where his mother died. His mother's body had been burned beyond recognition.

Shi Yichen knelt on the ground, trying to pick up his mother's body and walk into the village. The village was completely different from what it used to be; it had all been destroyed.

Instead of leaving, Flame followed Shi Yichen into the destroyed village.

After watching Shi Yichen bury the bodies of his parents and the villagers, Shi Yichen could no longer hold on and collapsed to the ground with his eyes closed.

Just as Shi Yichen was about to fall to the ground, Flame took the opportunity to carry him on her back and then left the destroyed village.

…………

Wol Basin.

Flame carried Shi Yichen to a stone house and pushed the door open to enter.

"Flame, you're back!"

A long-eared elf was sitting on a stone chair looking at a magic scroll. This elf was none other than our big-eared Fou. As for why she was still awake so late, it was because she was waiting for Flame to return.

"I already told you to call me teacher!"

Flame was also a little troubled by her newly accepted apprentice. She was too slow to understand emotions. No matter how many times she was corrected, she still wouldn't call her teacher. With this kind of personality, she would definitely make a big mistake in the future.

"Aren't you going to rest so late?"

Fulame gently placed Shi Yichen, whom she had been carrying on her back, onto the bed.

"No, I was waiting for you to come back. This child is...."

Big-eared Fou put away her magic book and came to Flame's side, looking at the unconscious Shi Yichen and asking in confusion.

“Her village was massacred by demons, and when I got there, she was the only one left.”

Flame spoke with regret, not only about Shi Yichen, but also about Frilian and herself, whose villages had been slaughtered by the demons, so she understood their feelings.

"So what are your plans for her?"

Looking at the unconscious Shi Yichen, Big-Eared Fufu felt a little sorry for him, because her village had also been massacred by the demons not long ago. Looking at someone who had suffered the same fate as her, she didn't know what to say.

“She has great talent, and I plan to take her on as my apprentice.”

Flame looked at the unconscious Shi Yichen and said to Frilian, "Because Shi Yichen has a mystery, perhaps only her master Celia can solve this mystery!"

"That's it!"

Frillie looked at the unconscious Shi Yichen, lost in thought.

"Alright, get some rest!"

Flame patted Frilian's little head.

"Ah."

…………

The next day, early in the morning.

"Ok?"

Shi Yichen slowly opened his eyes, looked at the unfamiliar ceiling, sat up from the bed, and looked around. There was no one there, only many magic books and magic scrolls.

His wounds had all healed, but he was still a little tired. His White Rainbow Sword was placed by the bedside.

"you're awake."

Flame pushed open the door and walked in, followed by a white-haired elf with big ears.

"Where is this place?"

Shi Yichen looked at Fulame.

“The Wol Basin isn’t far from your village.”

Flame told Shi Yichen that she had only happened to pass by yesterday and sensed the aura of the demons, which was why she chose to go and take a look.

“If I hadn’t passed by, you would be dead. Not only did you fail to protect the village, you almost died there. It was a complete waste of your life.”

Flame sat down next to Shi Yichen and said to her, reaching out a hand to place on Shi Yichen's back. The fluorescent light lit up, and Shi Yichen immediately felt much better.

"Your body is fine now, you just need to rest for a couple more days."

Flame withdrew her hand, stood up, and spoke to Shi Yichen.

"You must be a powerful mage! Can you teach me magic?"

Shi Yichen looked up at Flame. She had seen everything Flame had done yesterday, and she could feel the immense magical power within Flame's body.

"Oh! Why do you think that?"

Flame looked at Shi Yichen with great interest, not expecting that this little girl could actually sense her hidden magic.

"Intuition, right?"

Shi Yichen replied that although she could detect that Flame's magic range was similar to hers, she did not think that Flame only had that much magic.

Her intuition was right; Flame's hidden magic was more powerful than she had imagined.

"Very good, you will be my apprentice from now on."

Flame smiled at Shi Yichen, saying he was a very good apprentice.

"Yes, teacher."

Shi Yichen quickly changed his tune, saying that such a powerful mage couldn't just take on disciples casually; without great strength, how could he kill those demons?

"Haha, Frilian, take good care of her, I'll go cook."

Flame smiled at Shi Yichen. Being called "teacher" by Shi Yichen made Flame feel quite good. After all, Shi Yichen and Frilian were completely different. Frilian was too slow to understand emotions, and she would suffer a great loss sooner or later.

"Ah."

Frillie nodded as she looked at the magic scroll.

When Shi Yichen had nothing to do, she picked up the scroll next to her and started looking at it. She recognized all the characters, but she couldn't recognize them when they were put together.

"The magic scroll you're holding is what Flame is looking at. It's very difficult, and I can't understand much of it. If you want to see something, there are some simpler ones over there."

Frilian glanced at the scroll in Shi Yichen's hand. She couldn't even understand the scroll, let alone Shi Yichen. Frilian pointed to some scrolls placed in the corner, which were all simple scrolls.

"Oh! Thank you."

Shi Yichen thanked Frilian, got out of bed, walked to the scrolls in the corner, picked one up and started reading. Hmm, now he could understand it.

It's like if you're a middle school student and you're asked to read university-level books, you won't understand them, but you can find the answers in elementary school books at a glance.

"We can eat now, what are you doing?"

Flame walked in and saw that her two apprentices were looking at magic scrolls, neither of them disturbing the other.

"You two really get along well!"

None of my family members understand! Both of my apprentices love reading magic books, and they read them with great interest. If I don't call them for dinner, they might read for a long time.

"Oh! Here it comes."

Shi Yichen quickly put down the scroll in his hand. He was so engrossed in reading it that he completely forgot about the time and went out with Frilian.

…………

Two days later.

Frilian and Shi Yichen sat together looking at the magic scroll. Shi Yichen would ask Frilian questions when he didn't understand something, and Frilian would patiently answer them for him.

When Flame returned from gathering herbs, she opened the door and saw her two apprentices sitting together again, looking at the magic scroll. Flame simply smiled.

"Are your injuries almost healed?"
