I raise elves in Florian

Chapter 28 Mahat is rescued

When the holy light reached its peak, Shi Yichen raised his longsword and slashed at Mahat.

An incredibly powerful strike was aimed at Mahat, so fast that Mahat didn't even have time to react before being struck by Shi Yichen's holy sword, instantly creating a cloud of smoke.

The shockwaves from the battle could be felt even tens of kilometers away.

After the smoke cleared, Mahat was found lying in a pool of blood, severely injured.

Are you alright?

Frilian came to Shi Yichen's side, looking him up and down, giving him a full-body checkup.

"It's alright, I'm very strong."

Shi Yichen raised his hand and patted Frilian's little head, looking at Frilian's worried eyes as he spoke.

"Ok?"

Shi Yichen and Frilian both sensed a subtle aura and summoned their respective weapons, becoming alert.

"Were they rescued?"

Shi Yichen looked at the spot where Mahat had fallen and saw that he was no longer there. Combined with the faint aura he had just sensed, it seemed that Mahat had been rescued.

Spatial perception

Shi Yichen closed his eyes and scanned the area within hundreds of kilometers, but found no trace of the demon race. They had probably all run away!

"As expected of the demons, even I couldn't tell when they were rescued."

Shi Yichen withdrew his perception magic; they had already disappeared. Well, he might as well give up.

"And you? How long are you going to keep this magic?"

Shi Yichen turned to look at Frilian's arm. Although she had helped Frilian recover most of her arm, Frilian asked her to leave a little bit so she could analyze the magic that turned everything into gold.

"Give me some time. After I analyze it, I'll see if I can remove this spell."

Frillie shook her head, not intending to let Shi Yichen help her remove the spell; she wanted to try and see if she could break it herself.

"So, are you going back now, or are you coming with me?"

Shi Yichen looked at Frilian and asked for her thoughts.

"I plan to go back now."

Upon encountering this intriguing magic, Frillie no longer wants to travel; she wants to go back immediately and begin breaking the spell.

"Then I'll go back with you! I'm very worried about you looking like this."

Looking at Frillie's arm, which had not fully recovered, Shi Yichen couldn't help but feel worried.

After thinking about it, Shi Yichen decided against letting Frillie go back alone.

"It's alright. Don't forget I'm very strong too. Besides, this is something you left me."

Frilian stretched out her arm, revealing the sword mark etched on it. This was a safety device that Shi Yichen left for Frilian, which would activate when Frilian's life was in danger.

"Alright then! Be careful on your way back."

Seeing Frilian's reaction, Shi Yichen had no choice but to give in and let her go back alone.

…………

Demon City.

"Lord Demon King."

After receiving treatment, Mahat knelt on the ground, with several figures standing beside him, while the Demon King of this generation sat on the high platform.

“Mahat, if Shurahat hadn’t foreseen your death, I think you would be dead by now.”

The Demon King sat on his throne above and looked down at Mahat, who was kneeling on one knee below.

Mahat remained kneeling without saying a word, knowing he would die there when the woman delivered the final blow.

Mahat had no idea that the Demon King would save him.

The Demon King's army cannot afford to lose such a powerful force as Mahat.

Since Flame created human magic, the originally weak human army has gradually gained the ability to fight against the Demon King's army.

Despite the fact that the Demon King's army currently rules over the entire northern kingdoms, after hundreds of years of development, human armies have begun to slowly launch a counterattack against the Demon King's army.

You have to understand that Mahat is the strongest of the Seven Sages of the Seven Deadly Sages. Even he couldn't defeat Shi Yichen. So the other Seven Sages of the Seven Deadly Sages would just be giving Shi Yichen free kills. Only the Demon King could save Mahat.

Not all of the Seven Sages of Collapse possess the power of Mahat; there are varying degrees of strength among the Seven Sages of Collapse.

Just like the violinist Aura, who was easily killed by Frilian.

Comparing Awula with Mahat reveals just how much of Awula's claim to be a Seven-Break Sage is exaggerated.

"Such a powerful human, why didn't the Demon King kill her?"

The demon standing below the stage, one of the Seven Sages of Collapse, was very puzzled. Even Mahat had been defeated, which proved that this human had the potential to fight against the Demon King.

If we don't eliminate it now, it might create a powerful enemy for the demon race in the future.

"We'll talk about that human matter later."

Even the Demon King was powerless to do anything about it! If it weren't for that woman, Celia, he would have killed Shi Yichen on the spot.

He had a premonition that if Shi Yichen wasn't killed, it would cause huge losses to the Demon King's army.

Now, recalling how Celia looked at him like he was a joke, he realized that if he had made a move against Shi Yichen, he might have been left there by that woman Celia.

In the end, the Demon King did not attack Shi Yichen, but instead rescued Mahat. Celia also did not attack the Demon King, and everyone left peacefully.

Of course, Shi Yichen didn't know that Celia was nearby; she only sensed that the Demon King had somehow managed to rescue Mahat.

"Be careful from now on. If you encounter that human, report to me and I will find an opportunity to eliminate her."

The Demon King sat on his throne on the platform and addressed the Seven Sages and other demons below.

He didn't believe that Celia would stay by that human's side forever; that human had to be killed.

"Yes!"

The demons below the stage responded in unison.

The Demon King on the throne had disappeared sometime earlier.

Seeing that the Demon King had left, some demons also began to leave the Demon King's palace, leaving only Qi Bengxian and a few powerful demons behind.

"I never thought that even the strongest of the Seven Sages, Mahat, would be defeated by humans. How interesting."

A demon nearby gloated, saying that demons are not as united as humans. If it weren't for the Demon King, who knows what the demons below would do.

The Demon King used his terrifying power to control the entire demon race, forcibly uniting the scattered demons so that they could gain a foothold on the continent.

The Demon King also ordered his demon subordinates to hunt down the elves, who were able to rival them. Like the demons, the elves possessed near-eternal time, making them a major problem for the demons as they conquered the entire continent.

"Oh!"

Before the demon could finish speaking, he was slammed against the wall by Mahat.

"Just because I was defeated by humans doesn't mean you can beat me."
