I raise elves in Florian
Chapter 207, Round 2 Test 2
After speaking, Jian Ze stood aside and watched as the examinees discussed their routes into the building.
Most people present chose their teammates for the first round. Conquering the maze was clearly not a solo endeavor, so the more people in the team, the easier it was to reach the end.
"Let's go together."
Shi Yichen looked at Frilian, Philon, and Yubel and said.
"Ah."
The three of them nodded.
"Someone has already gone in."
Philon watched as a man dressed in green walked alone into the maze.
Once the first one was there, the second one followed, and other teams entered the maze one after another from other entrances.
"Let's go too."
Shi Yichen looked at Frilian and the others and said that they found an entrance that no one had ever been to and went inside.
"Hmm... then I'll go with you."
Just as Shi Yichen and the others reached the entrance, Jian Ze followed behind the group, already imagining what would happen inside the maze.
"Of course you can."
Shi Yichen smiled and said to Jian Ze, knowing what Jian Ze was worried about.
"I won't get in your way."
Jian Ze nodded to Shi Yichen and said.
"That's really interesting."
When Yichen entered the maze, she clearly sensed something was wrong, as if she had been scanned by something, but her body automatically defended itself and didn't detect anything.
"Just to add some fun for you."
Shi Yichen slightly opened his defenses, and soon a black shadow that looked exactly like Shi Yichen appeared deep in the maze, but its strength was not even half of Shi Yichen's original strength.
But for these test takers, it was a devastating blow. If Frilian had used her full strength, she might have been able to defeat her clone.
Immediately after Shi Yichen's copy appeared a copy of Frilian, then Philon, Yubel, Jianze, and so on. Whenever someone entered the maze, a copy of the same person would appear deep inside.
"This route is the safest. Let's draw a map and proceed cautiously."
Frilian turned to Philon and said, as for why Frilian knew this was the safest route, it was of course because Yichen was there, and Frilian had also used magic to calculate that their route was the safest of all.
But this doesn't mean there's no danger; it just means that this route is relatively safer than all other routes.
And so, Shi Yichen and Frilian led everyone through the maze, exploring each level before moving on to the next.
Jian Ze followed them all the way. Although he didn't know why Shi Yichen and the others insisted on exploring the entire floor before moving on to the next one, they didn't encounter any danger along the way.
"That floor tile is a trap, be careful."
Frilian warned Jian Ze that the floor tile he was standing on was a trap, and these traps were all triggered in a linked manner, so stepping on it would cause unnecessary trouble.
"You're still the same as always, very familiar with the maze."
Felene, walking behind Frilian, said to her that there were some things she hadn't noticed, but Frilian had.
“I wasn’t that familiar with it before either. It’s mainly because Simmel loves dungeons, so we’ve explored many dungeons to complete the quest to defeat monsters.”
Frillie explained to Philon why she was so experienced with mazes: it was mainly because she had cleared so many mazes together, and her experience had gradually accumulated, making her adept at things like mazes.
What does it mean to like mazes?
Philon looked at Frillie with great confusion.
"It means exactly what it says. He said exploring mazes is exciting, which is hard to understand, right?"
Frilian didn't know why Simmel loved exploring dungeons so much. Although Haita and Aize said they wouldn't accompany Simmel to explore dungeons, they would always go with her.
. . . . . .
Outside the maze.
There are seven people left at the maze entrance: three from Duncan's team, Lavigne and Connie, the mature and beautiful older sister who spoke earlier, and a little girl.
"Connie, let's go."
Lavigne glanced at Richter standing next to Duncan and immediately abandoned any thoughts of cooperation. She then led Connie into the maze. She now deeply regretted not going with Frilian and the others, but since they had already gone in, she had no choice but to go with Connie.
"In the end, only the five of us were left."
Richter looked at the remaining five people and said.
"If everyone could work together and do their job, it would have been very possible to conquer this maze. After all, everyone here is a skilled expert, not to mention legendary figures like Shi Yichen and Frilian."
Duncan said with some regret that if all nineteen people were to walk together, it would be easy to get through the maze, but now that everyone is scattered, it greatly increases the difficulty of passing the level.
"Duncan, not everyone thinks like you. You said it yourself at the end of the first round of tests, right? You're just unhappy. Those who stayed are all smart people. Just think of it that way."
At least among these people, no one would be foolish enough to fall for a simple trap like a mimicry, isn't that good enough? Duncan.
Richter told Duncan that whether it was the first person to enter the maze, or Lavigne and Connie who had just entered, they were all unhappy with them and that's why they didn't cooperate.
"How could there be such an idiot in this test? Let's go."
Duncan chuckled at Richter's words. How could any fool be fooled by a mimic? With that, he led the five familiar faces into the maze.
. . . . . .
Inside the secret room.
Frilian was squatting in front of a treasure chest, carefully examining it. Philon stood aside, watching Frilian speechlessly. Shi Yichen and Yubel leaned against the wall, just watching Frilian.
Jian Ze stared blankly at Frillie, wondering why she was fixated on what looked like a fake treasure chest.
"This magic... it might contain a grimoire."
After careful consideration, Frillian said this.
"Lady Frilian, you've seen the results of the treasure chest identification magic, haven't you? It's a mimic monster."
Felen, speechless, said to Frilian, "We've already identified it as a mimic, but for some reason Frilian won't listen."
“Philan, that spell is 99% accurate.”
Frillie turned to Philon with a mysterious look on her face and said.
"So what?"
Philon looked at Frillie speechlessly.
"It is because the great mages grasped the remaining one percent of the possibility that such a historic discovery was made."
