The Third Hokage smiled, deciding not to dwell on the matter. Instead, as if remembering something, he said, "Kakashi taught you many ninjutsu; you've mastered them all, haven't you?"

Yoru didn't know what the Third Generation meant by this.

However, he didn't hide the fact that he "had all the information."

"It seems he doesn't have many ninjutsu he can teach you. Although Kakashi has mastered many ninjutsu, most of them are just conventional ninjutsu."

"I doubt much of it will be of any use to you."

"If you want to learn any ninjutsu in the future, go to the database. There you will find information on all the ninjutsu of Konoha, including some forbidden techniques."

Kakashi was stunned.

He hadn't expected the third generation to be so generous.

Yoru probably doesn't know what the database is.

The archive is where all of Konoha's information is stored, including not only Konoha's ninjutsu but also many of Konoha's historical archives.

It even includes some confidential information, both black and white.

Even he couldn't freely access the database to search for information.

When he went to research information about Wood Release back then, he sneaked in and was discovered by the Third Hokage.

Later, the Third Hokage gave him information about Wood Release, including some of Konoha's research on Wood Release.

Only those highly trusted by the Hokage and holding a very high position are qualified to enter and access the information within.

Even the Book of Seals is included.

This means that the Third Hokage has completely trusted Yoru, but it also means that Yoru can only be completely bound to the Hokage lineage.

Yoru was quite pleased; he was indeed very interested in many of Konoha's ninjutsu.

For example, the Flying Thunder God Technique, Wood Release, and some sealing techniques, especially the sealing techniques of the Uzumaki clan.

So Yoru smiled and said, "Thank you, Lord Hokage."

The Third Hokage nodded, but Kakashi's expression was complicated.

After chatting with the Third Hokage for a few minutes, Kakashi led Yoru out of the Hokage Building.

Yoru's file has also been updated; he is now a Chunin.

Even Ye Yu himself found all these changes somewhat unbelievable.

Although he was confident in his abilities, he didn't think he could become a Chunin at such a young age.

Kakashi, however, didn't smile.

Yoru noticed this too and asked, "Kakashi-sensei, aren't you happy?"

The two walked down the street. Kakashi glanced at Yoru and said, "I'm happy, but do you know why the Hokage promoted you?"

Ye Yu smiled, put his hands in his pockets, and said nonchalantly, "I might know, but I don't care."

Kakashi paused for a moment.

Looking at Ye Yu's faint smile, he seemed to remember something and smiled as well. "That's right, there's no need to care. No matter what, I will go in with you."

Yoru was unaware of the Third Generation's true intentions.

He thought the third generation just wanted to exploit him as soon as possible.

Little did he know that the Third Hokage intended to groom him, and even planned to bypass Kakashi and have him directly take over his position as the Fifth Hokage.

Just like Minato Namikaze back then.

If Yoru hadn't shown the strength he possessed in the Land of Waves, the Third Hokage would have naturally nurtured him gradually, and Kakashi would have been more suitable for the position of Fifth Hokage.

The Sixth Hokage is not something he needs to worry about; that's Kakashi's problem to consider.

However, the strength that Yoru has shown now has forced the Third Generation to change his previous ideas.

Just like back then, he initially hoped that Orochimaru would succeed him, and he was grooming Orochimaru as his successor.

But with the emergence of Minato Namikaze, and the things Orochimaru did reaching his limit of tolerance, he handed over the Hokage position to Minato Namikaze.

After all, Minato Namikaze was from his lineage, and was even his grand-disciple.

The third generation still plans to do this.

He felt that Yoru's future potential was definitely higher than Minato Namikaze's.

Kakashi's lips twitched slightly.

He was certain that Yoru hadn't understood the Third Generation's meaning, nor had he understood his.

Helpless, Kakashi could only explain to Yoru, "The Third Hokage promoted you to Chunin, how could he possibly have asked you to do these things?"

"The Third Hokage personally promoted you to Chunin only to show his attitude to the other forces in the village, and also to show which faction you belong to now."

"And he allowed you to enter the database, which itself shows his trust in you. Even I need the permission of the third generation before I can enter the database."

Ye Yu frowned.

Kakashi thought Yoru was unwilling, after all, based on his understanding of Yoru, he felt that Yoru didn't like this kind of power struggle.

The two walked on the street for a while, and when they passed by Ichiraku Ramen, they encountered Naruto and his two companions who were about to go to Ichiraku Ramen for a meal.

"Kakashi-sensei, Yoru, you've finally come out."

Kakashi and Yoru looked at Naruto, who was waving at them.

Sasuke and Sakura stood behind Naruto.

Yoru looked at Kakashi and said with a smile, "Kakashi-sensei, it seems you'll have to treat us today."

Kakashi sighed, "Sigh!"

Kakashi felt a little helpless. He had originally planned to buy a copy of Jiraiya's book later.

Fortunately, Naruto likes ramen. If he liked barbecue, his wallet would be empty.

The two arrived in front of Ichiraku Ramen.

Naruto laughed and said, "Kakashi-sensei, Yoru, did you guys already know we were coming here to eat ramen?"

Kakashi didn't say anything.

Yoru said, "Yeah, Kakashi said he's treating."

Upon hearing this, Naruto's eyes lit up, and he shouted, "Long live Kakashi-sensei!"

Kakashi looked at Ye Yu and saw his mouth twitching slightly. When did he say that?

Although he knew he would definitely be paying for the meal.

Sasuke looked at Yoru, wondering what the Third Hokage and Yoru had been doing in the Hokage's office.
