Harry Potter: This senior is pretty strong

Chapter 52 Hermione, watch closely, I'll only demonstrate once.

This dirty and messy bar is still very lively.

However, Qin Yu felt that the atmosphere here was a bit strange today.

So he held Hermione's hand tightly, and the two carefully made their way through the crowded guests and tables.

"Do you think the UMNO will really make a comeback this time? These people disappeared so many years ago?" an older guest said with some concern.

"What 'Witchcraft Party'? They now call themselves the GA—Grindelwald's Army. The name is certainly keeping up with the times. I heard it from an Auror in a Magical Congress in North America. These people are causing quite a stir in Brazil," said a younger middle-aged wizard.

Upon hearing the names "Masonic Party" and "Grindelwald," Qin Yu subconsciously slowed his pace.

There's just too much information to handle.

Hermione took the opportunity to look around the bar with great curiosity.

She was absolutely certain there was a wizard here! — Hmm!

She even vaguely saw what looked like wands sticking out of some people's pockets, which excited her. After all, she hadn't seen many real wizards so far; including Qin Yu, there were only five. Oh, and if you include herself, there were six.

Is the Magical Congress of North America trying to interfere in the affairs of the Brazilian Ministry of Magic?

"Ha, them? They'd be lucky to even be able to defend their own homes. Back in the day, Grindelwald caused them no end of trouble in North America. But Brazil is indeed quite troublesome. The GA is developing very rapidly, and the Brazilian Ministry of Magic has been sending people everywhere to seek cooperation and support, including the Magical Congress of North America. As you know, the International Confederation of Wizards isn't very effective these days and can't be relied on at all. We'll have to find our own way."

"...Hopefully, they won't come to Europe."

"Heh heh, how could they possibly let Europe off the hook?"

"Ah, this..."

"You two should stop talking about this. Be careful that the Ministry of Magic doesn't hear you. Our Minister Fudge really doesn't like hearing these things."

"Alright, let's drink! Tom, another sherry!"

"I'll have a butterbeer!"

After discussing for a while, the group changed the subject and started talking about other things.

Qin Yu wasn't interested in their conversation about vampires and werewolves, so he stopped listening.

So he pulled Hermione along and continued walking.

"Should we...say hello to them?" Hermione whispered.

Her eyes swept over the various patrons sitting around the bar.

"Huh? Why are you greeting me?" Qin Yu was taken aback.

“Well…shouldn’t we get to know each other?” Hermione said, expressing her thoughts.

Well, this idea caught Qin Yu off guard for a moment.

However, considering that Hermione was seeing so many wizards for the first time, she was probably happy to meet "kindred spirits" and wanted to blend in, so Qin Yu roughly understood her state of mind.

In short, she's just a naive girl who's never seen the world.

Thinking of this, Qin Yu couldn't help but reach out his other hand and rub her head, saying with a smile, "My little darling, this isn't the right place to make friends. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future."

"Okay, I understand!" Hermione nodded.

She actually felt that her idea seemed a bit too abrupt.

"Wow, you're that little boy from the East that Hagrid brought last time, right? How have you been doing at Hogwarts these past six months?" The bar owner noticed Qin Yu and greeted him warmly.

"It's alright, I've had a pretty fulfilling time," Qin Yu replied with a smile.

"Haha, school days are always the best. By the way, would you like a drink? I can mix you a 'liquid-like' drink suitable for kids, it's non-alcoholic." The bar owner promoted the drink to Qin Yu and Hermione.

"Um, maybe next time, we're in a hurry," Qin Yu politely declined.

They really couldn't stay out too long. If they came home too late, Mr. and Mrs. Granger would definitely worry. Besides, he didn't want Hermione to stay in the pub for too long either.

After saying goodbye to the bar owner, Qin Yu pulled Hermione across the bar and headed towards the courtyard at the entrance to Diagon Alley.

However, before he entered the courtyard, a loud crash came from inside the bar. Qin Yu subconsciously turned around and saw a drunkard bumping into a table and a young man with a somewhat haggard face.

"Sorry—sorry—" the drunkard apologized repeatedly.

"Be more careful next time!" the haggard-looking young man said angrily.

Qin Yu felt that this person's pronunciation was a bit strange; it didn't sound like a London accent, much less like a typical British accent.

Then, the young man saw that his things had fallen to the ground, and hurriedly bent down to pick them up.

As he picked up the item, his arm emerged from his sleeve, revealing a floating tattoo pattern on the back of his outstretched wrist.

—It was a black equilateral triangle, with a circle and a vertical line inside.

Because the person moved very quickly, Qin Yu only caught a glimpse of the pattern and didn't see it very clearly.

Then, the man squeezed through the crowd, entered the courtyard before Qin Yu, and hurriedly left, entering Diagon Alley.

……

After that person left, Qin Yu led Hermione into the small courtyard.

"Where did that person go?" Hermione asked curiously, looking at the courtyard which was only filled with trash cans and weeds.

Because her view was obstructed, Hermione didn't see the Diagon Alley entrance open and didn't know how the person disappeared.

Qin Yu could then fully show off.

Thinking of this, Qin Yu temporarily put aside what he had just witnessed, took out his wand, and solemnly said to Hermione:

"Hermione, watch carefully, I'll only demonstrate once!"

"Huh? Demonstrate what? And why only once? When you taught me things before, didn't you demonstrate them several times?" Hermione asked, somewhat puzzled.

"..." Qin Yu.

Qin Yu was speechless, choked by the remark.

At that moment, he really wanted to shut the girl up.

"Okay, I'll demonstrate a few times if you want. Anyway, don't blink, I'm about to start!" Qin Yu said, calming himself down.

"Mmm!" The little girl immediately showed a serious and focused expression.

Qin Yu said no more. Following Hagrid's instructions from memory, he gently tapped the wall three times with the tip of his wand at a specific spot. Immediately afterward, the bricks he had tapped began to move rapidly, gradually forming an arched doorway.

Hermione's eyes widened at the sight of this incredible scene, revealing a look of astonishment.

"How amazing..." the little girl murmured.

Hmm, this reaction satisfied Qin Yu.

Then, he pulled Hermione through the doorway and onto the cobblestone street.

When Hermione looked back, the doorway had closed and become a solid wall again.

As the two continued walking, they saw many wizards appearing on the street, as well as the first shop—a store that sold all kinds of cauldrons.

Hermione happily pulled Qin Yu over, wanting to see what those crucibles were used for.

"The crucible is mainly used in Potions class, so it's not too late to buy it after school starts," Qin Yu reminded him.

“Yes, I know. I’m just looking, I’m not buying,” Hermione nodded.

Then, she strolled around the store with great interest before leaving satisfied.

Next came the wizard robe shop, the owl shop, the magical pet shop, the magical stationery shop, the astronomical instrument shop, the alchemy workshop, and so on. In short, Hermione fully implemented her principle of "I'll just look around," going in to look around wherever she went, and even if she didn't buy anything, she still looked around with great interest.

At this moment, Qin Yu finally realized that women (girls) of all ages, whether in ancient or modern times, seem to have an instinct for shopping that is hidden in their genes.

Of course, this could be partly due to Hermione's surprise at being here for the first time; after all, Qin Yu was also full of curiosity about Diagon Alley when he last visited.

However, having experienced various things at Hogwarts, Qin Yu was no longer as ignorant about the magical world as he had been at the beginning, so he naturally didn't have a strong curiosity about these magical shops and magical items.

……

And so, Hermione strolled around, looking at things, and occasionally even mustered the courage to chat with the shop owners.

After wandering around for quite a while, the two arrived at a wizard's apothecary and went inside together.

"Boss, do you still have the venom and abdominal bristles from the giant eight-eyed spider from last time?" a young wizard with messy hair asked the boss anxiously.

"I'm sorry, sir, the last liquid ounce of Octopod venom has just been sold. We do have a small packet of abdominal bristles though..." the shopkeeper said regretfully.

Seeing the young wizard's disappointed expression, the shopkeeper continued, "We have the venom of the Giant Spider here. It's similar to the venom of the Giant Spider. Would you like to consider buying this as a substitute?"

"Sigh, how can the venom of the Grimace Giant Spider compare to that of the Eight-Eyed Giant Spider... Oh well, this is all I can buy. Give me five ounces, no, half a pint, please. The venom isn't good quality, so I'll have to buy more." The young wizard muttered to himself. (Note: 1 pint = 20 liquid ounces; pint and liquid ounce are units of volume.)

“Okay!” The boss nodded readily, then asked, “What about the spider’s abdominal bristles?”

“Just a small amount, I don’t need much,” the young wizard replied.

After Qin Yu and Hermione entered, they watched the shopkeeper do business with great interest. After the shopkeeper handed the young wizard a bottle of venom and a spider's abdomen bristle wrapped in tin foil, and received a pile of nice gold and silver coins, Qin Yu stepped forward to greet him and called out the shopkeeper's name.

"Who are you?" The boss was a little unfamiliar with this little boy from the East.

"I am Qin Yu, we communicate through correspondence," Qin Yu introduced himself with a smile.

"Qin? You're Qin, the authorized agent for products from the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts?" the shopkeeper asked, somewhat surprised.

He hadn't expected that the person communicating with him all along was such a young child. But then he thought about it and it made sense. It was the magical world, after all; all sorts of strange things could happen. Even a one-year-old child could defeat "that person (you-know-who)," so it wasn't strange that this teenager was doing business.

"Uh, it's just a full agency agreement for some of the byproducts of magical creatures," Qin Yu corrected his boss.

Good heavens, if he really dares to say that he is acting as an agent for the Forbidden Forest, and if Professor Dumbledore finds out, he'll kill him in a heartbeat.

Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration. Old Deng still loves me, but getting a hundred points deducted by Professor McGonagall is definitely inevitable. Qin Yu thought to himself.

"Oh, right, I made a mistake." The boss clearly knew what he was doing, winking at Qin Yu a few times with a sly look in his eyes.

When he sells things, he can of course occasionally make such a subtle claim to customers, but to make it public would only cause unnecessary trouble for him and his suppliers.

"So, Mr. Qin, did you come here this time with a new shipment of Octopod Venom?" the shopkeeper asked expectantly.

"Sorry, we're out of Octopus Spider Venom right now. I'm just here to accompany my, uh, sister, to stroll around Diagon Alley," Qin Yu explained.

"Oh, I see. Feel free to browse around. If you like anything in my shop, I'll give you a 20% discount," the shop owner said enthusiastically, though disappointed.

"Thank you, boss!" Qin Yu quickly expressed his gratitude.

A new customer came to the shop, and the owner hurried to serve him. However, the customer complained that the price of dragon liver was too high and left without looking back.

Qin Yu browsed the wizard's apothecary much more carefully than Hermione, paying attention to both the quality and price of the items. This was partly his "job"—understanding market demand so they could supply these stores.

Of course, Hermione was far from bored, so she pulled Qin Yu aside and had him introduce all sorts of strange and wonderful magical herbs, turning it into a lively lesson in herbalism or potions.

Then, when Qin Yu realized that he didn't recognize most of the things behind him, he decisively took Hermione's hand and left the store.

Time flies, and two hours have passed in the blink of an eye.

Hermione had a great time throughout her trip to Diagon Alley, and her favorite place was Flourish and Blotts because it had so many books she had never heard of before, and some of them even moved and made scary noises, which made it even more interesting.

"Qin, may I read a book here for a while?" Hermione asked expectantly.

On the second floor of Flourish and Blotts, there is a reading area where customers are allowed to read.

Qin Yu thought to himself, "My little ancestor, you can finally rest."

So he immediately nodded in agreement and ordered a glass of Flourish & Blotts’ special flavored juice for each of them.

And so, the two sat down at a table by the window, drinking the juice that tasted different each time, while flipping through the books they had found.

Hermione was reading a book called "History of the Wizarding World and the Magical Management Institutions in Various Places," and she was reading it very carefully.

"Starting with this kind of book right away, isn't this girl a little too ambitious?" Qin Yu thought to himself.

Of course, he was just making a casual comment.

Beside him lay a book titled "Some Strange Ideas on Alchemy," written by a sorcerer from an Egyptian alchemical research center.

However, after reading for a while, Qin Yu found that this person's ideas were indeed quite strange, some even absurd. When he saw in the book that the magic stone could be used to provide magical energy to solve the energy crisis in the human world, Qin Yu was both amused and annoyed.

Are magic stones just common stones that you can get anytime, anywhere? That's such an unrealistic idea!

So he simply closed the book, took a sip of juice, and looked out the window to soothe his slightly sore eyes.

Outside the window were rows of shops and bustling crowds. Thanks to the soundproofing spell, he didn't find it noisy at all; instead, he felt like he was appreciating the various aspects of wizarding life.

Yes, this scene is perfect for a painting, let's call it "Christmas on the Street"!

Thinking of this, Qin Yu couldn't help but smile.

However, the smile didn't last long before it slowly disappeared, and his brows furrowed slightly.

"Is it that guy from the bar?" Qin Yu thought to himself.

Indeed, a pale-faced young wizard hurried past downstairs; he was the same person Qin Yu had seen at the Leaky Cauldron.

Recalling the tattoo he had seen before, Qin Yu couldn't help but feel a sense of doubt.

"Ding! Dear host, the seemingly peaceful magical world is already turbulent. You have inadvertently discovered a suspicious figure and have become wary. Now, please make your choice—"
