Harry Potter: This senior is pretty strong

Chapter 4 Encounter or Failure

Looking at the giant python and the panicked crowd, Qin Yu was somewhat stunned.

What a coincidence! This python looks so familiar. Could it be the one Harry Potter released?!

"Ha, I just came to the zoo, and they're already forcing me into a plot?" Qin Yu thought to himself, cursing wildly.

Besides, shouldn't Harry be the one to clean up this mess?

Hermione's face turned deathly pale, her eyes filled with terror. She instinctively looked at Qin Yu: "Qin, what do you think we should do? Can you control it with magic?"

Qin Yu knew that the python just wanted freedom and had no intention of harming anyone, so there was no need to panic too much, provided that no one attacked it.

"How could I possibly control it? Unless I could speak Parseltongue, then I could at least negotiate with it!" Qin Yu said with a shrug.

“Parseltongue is a profound subject; how could it be learned so easily…” Hermione said helplessly.

She didn't know why she had asked Qin Yu that question. He looked only slightly older than her, so how could he possibly handle such a large python?

Just as Qin Yu was pondering how to get rid of the python, the long-absent system voice sounded in his mind:

"Ding! Dear host, a major disturbance has occurred around you. Please make the following choice—"

[One] Leave quickly, and you'll be rewarded with an owl;

【Two】Drive away the python, reward with mastery of snake language.

Qin Yu thought to himself, "This system can still be useful in critical moments."

He chose the second option without even thinking.

"Ding! Host has chosen to drive away the python. Your courage deserves encouragement. The reward will be issued in advance. We hope you can use your abilities to help more helpless people!"

At this point, some people had already picked up sticks, mops, and other tools and came over to attack the python.

The python, however, became ferocious, raising its head and staring at the malicious humans with its cold, reptilian eyes.

"I really do have the potential to jinx things..." Qin Yu muttered to himself.

He stretched his neck and said to Hermione, "You hide first, I'll take care of this big guy!"

As he spoke, he strode up to the python.

The newly acquired ability to speak Parseltongue had become second nature to Qin Yu; the moment he opened his mouth, it automatically switched to Parseltongue.

"Hey, you big snake, can you get away from here? You're scaring people!"

"These are the people who wanted to attack me... Oh? Another human I can communicate with?" The python's head turned towards Qin Yu, and it "said" with some surprise.

"Clearly, your colorful patterns have triggered a fear ingrained in their genes, which is why they acted so aggressively. I will stop them," Qin Yu said slowly, gesturing for the adults carrying various "weapons" to put them down.

Seeing that the python had been calmed down by Qin Yu, the little boy from the East, everyone subconsciously followed his instructions and stepped back, temporarily putting down what they were holding.

"Such beautiful patterns, and they're afraid? It's truly incomprehensible to snakes!" the python said, quite displeased.

"Alright, now is not the time to discuss species differences. You should stay away from people. There are plenty of fields and forests in the countryside around this city. That's the world where you can live freely!" Qin Yu paused, then continued, "If you don't leave, I can't guarantee they won't catch you, chop you up, and make you into snake soup! Besides, I don't mind recommending a few mysterious Eastern snake soup recipes to them."

Upon hearing this, the python shrank its neck and said, feigning composure, "I don't want to stay here any longer!"

The park visitors had already hidden far away, and since snake language is not a language that humans can understand, they naturally had no idea what the little boy had done.

All they knew was that after confronting the python, the brave little boy fled and quickly disappeared into the back hills of the zoo.

"Clap clap clap!"

"Kid, you're amazing!"

"Do you know how to tame snakes?"

"Are you an animal trainer hired by the zoo?!"

Wow, your performance was fantastic!

After the python left, everyone applauded Qin Yu and began to chatter amongst themselves.

Being surrounded by onlookers, Qin Yu was quite annoyed. He quickly took Hermione's hand and left the area to look for the Grangers, who had just gotten separated from them.

……

After being led around by Qin Yu for a while, Hermione asked curiously, "Qin, what did you just say to it? Don't you not speak Parseltongue?"

Qin Yu smiled and said, "I just learned it!"

"It's not that easy!" Little Hermione exclaimed, disbelieving.

"Hmm...maybe it's a kind of bloodline talent. You know, some wizards' bloodlines can inherit certain special abilities." Qin Yu casually made up a reason.

“Oh, that’s possible. I’ve read about the influence of bloodlines in a book called ‘An Introduction to the Origins of Wizards,’ but bloodline theory isn’t exactly a popular one,” Hermione said seriously.

"Yes, I don't like the bloodline theory either. I value hard work more," Qin Yu replied.

"Hehe, I also think that hard work is very important!" Hermione said happily.

She was a young wizard from a Muggle family, so she naturally disliked theories about bloodlines. Now that Qin Yu also said he didn't like bloodlines, she was very happy.

……

The scene of Qin Yu driving away the python was witnessed by a little boy who came out of the reptile house.

The little boy looked to be about ten years old. He wore black-rimmed glasses, and a lightning bolt-shaped scar was faintly visible beneath the hair on his forehead.

He was none other than Harry Potter, who was accompanying his aunt's family to the zoo.

Harry sensed something special about Qin Yu and wanted to come over and say hello, and then confide his secret to him.

However, as soon as he took a step, his uncle picked him up and dragged him outside, followed by his expressionless aunt and his chubby cousin Dali—though Dali was now terrified, his clothes were wet, and he looked quite disheveled.

Qin Yu had actually vaguely seen Harry, and he wanted to go and help the child who had been bullied by his uncle's family.

However, there were too many onlookers, and with Hermione and the Grangers who had found them nearby, he couldn't go over.

Qin Yu thought to himself, there should be other opportunities in the future, let's talk about it next time we meet.

……

Besides gaining the ability to speak snakes, Qin Yu had another significant gain from his trip to the zoo: he discovered that he was no longer allergic to animal fur.

This gave him the urge to get a dog or a cat.

However, since he himself is already living in someone else's home, it wouldn't make sense for him to keep a pet.

On the way home, Hermione happily told Qin Yu about her experience at the zoo. In her words, the lions, bears, tigers, and all the other wild animals were so cute.

At this moment, Qin Yu felt a renewed sense of worry. He discovered that his energy was growing stronger and stronger, and he had almost accidentally injured the animals in the zoo several times earlier.

When those ferocious beasts make his body feel slightly scared and tense, evil thoughts will pop into his mind, and then some supernatural things will happen.

For example, a tiger is injured by a rock rolling down a rockery, a bear suddenly goes berserk and crashes into a tree, and a lion's tail inexplicably catches fire...

These animals were all in a sorry state, which is why Hermione found them cute.

"It seems that this power is becoming increasingly difficult to control," Qin Yu thought to himself.

He desperately wanted to unleash every swear word he knew. "I just want to live, why is it so hard? System, you son of a bitch, can't you come up with something useful?"

His emotions were evident in his eyes, which were fixed on a large tree not far ahead.

Suddenly, it was as if an invisible giant hand grabbed the tree tightly, and then the tree was uprooted and fell sideways on the road with a thud!

Sizzle—!

A sharp, piercing screech of brakes rang out.

Mr. Granger managed to stop the car before it crashed into the tree.

"Hermione?!" The Grangers looked at their daughter with surprise and disbelief.

"It wasn't me!" The wrongly accused Hermione quickly waved her hands.

“Qin?” Mr. Granger looked at Qin Yu with a questioning gaze, his brows furrowing.

Then, he saw the helpless expression on Qin Yu's face.

"So, this is Hermione and your little secret?" Mr. Granger asked.

Hermione shrugged and said, "Dad, it's not like that anymore."
