Harry Potter: This senior is pretty strong

Chapter 38 Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans: Whoever Throws Them Out Loses

The Quidditch selection process lasted almost the entire day and was quite a lively school-wide event.

Young people are quite enthusiastic about these things, shouting and cheering from the sidelines, releasing the youthful energy unique to their age, as if they never get tired.

Around 4 p.m., the selection process was nearing its end, and everyone gradually left, leaving only a few senior students and teachers to clean up the venue.

Qin Yu saw Professor Swinton arrive below the stadium from afar, gently wave his wand towards the sky, and then the black and white owl models that had been floating in the air began to sway and fly down one by one. As they approached the ground, they suddenly shrank and quickly flew into a cloth bag that Professor Swinton was holding. Then, he pulled the drawstring at the top of the bag, tied it up, and carried it away.

Looking at the cloth bag, which was only the size of a potions textbook, Qin Yu couldn't help but show an envious look.

This bag must have been enchanted with some kind of spatial spell, like a stretching spell, to be able to hold so many large owl models.

"What a great thing! I wish it were mine!" Qin Yu smacked his lips and muttered to himself.

Seemingly sensing some ill-intentioned gazes, Professor Swinton stuffed the bag into his open bosom, covered it with his wizard's robe, and then vanished in the blink of an eye.

This left Qin Yu somewhat disappointed.

Then he saw Fred and George, brothers with even more disappointed expressions than him, walking towards him.

"How about that? Got huh?" Qin Yu raised an eyebrow, saying with a hint of schadenfreude.

As the saying goes, don't expose someone's shortcomings, and don't hit someone in the face.

Qin Yu perfectly avoided this virtue.

"Don't put it so harshly. Angelina politely said she had already made plans with her friends, which is why she declined our invitation!" Fred said, displeased.

“Yeah, we were just a step too late,” George said disappointedly.

Just now, Qin Yu and the others were discussing having a small party at Hagrid's Hut to celebrate the successful selection process. Fred and George were enthusiastically suggesting that they invite Angelina to come along, since they were all selected at the same time and were considered teammates, so they could catch up.

Then there is no more then.

"Then let's wait until next time. Anyway, there will be plenty of opportunities to train together in the future." Qin Yu kindly comforted the two guys.

The two recovered instantly and led Elvis, Jimmy, Wilson, and Burke toward Hagrid's cabin.

Watching the Weasley brothers vividly recount the magical creatures Hagrid cared for along the way, Qin Yu felt that comforting them was pointless; these two were definitely born optimists.

Of course, someone who can live like an outcast in the Weasley family is unlikely to be simple.

Thinking about these unresolved matters, Qin Yu followed the others to Hagrid's Hut.

……

When Qin Yu and his group arrived at Hagrid's cabin, Hagrid, the owner, had just finished setting up his simple living room.

Seeing everyone arrive, he rubbed his hands together and said with a smile, "Boys, welcome to my place!"

"Thank you, Hagrid!" the children said quickly.

Then, they stared at the pile of candy on the table, unable to look away.

Before Qin Yu arrived, he had asked the owl to tell Hagrid to buy some candy. Hagrid thoughtfully bought several kinds and piled them on the table like a small mountain.

Although the school food is good, how can children resist the temptation of candy?

"Gurgle!"

Someone swallowed hard first.

Then, the gurgling sounds from the other people started to rise up.

"Without further ado, let's eat!" Qin Yu picked up a Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean and popped it into his mouth.

I chewed it, and my mouth was instantly filled with a spicy flavor.

"Sigh~"

Qin Yu gasped, then frowned and chewed and swallowed with difficulty.

Bibi Bite Beans: Once you eat them, you can't spit them out. Whoever spits out loses!

Besides Qin Yu, everyone else also tried the candy with randomly presented flavors. Their expressions after eating it were varied, ranging from bitter to spicy, sour to sweet, and the reactions were quite clear.

Wilson was the luckiest, getting a strawberry flavor, while the others were less fortunate; George even choked on his tears.

After eating Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, everyone chose their favorite candies and ate them to their heart's content.

Of course, once people have eaten a certain amount of candy, they are satisfied and no longer so enthusiastic about it; they will not eat it indefinitely.

At this moment, the tea that Hagrid had personally brewed was welcomed by everyone.

You know what, Hagrid's cooking skills were disastrous, but his tea was pretty good. The children each held a cup, drinking tea and asking Hagrid about the furnishings in his house, especially the fur and horns of the magical creatures, which filled them with curiosity.

Qin Yu was not among them. He sat on the steps in front of Hagrid's cabin, holding a cup of tea, sipping it and watching the sunset.

Suddenly, a small golden unicorn walked over with light steps. After approaching the hut, it let out a joyful cry at Qin Yu.

It's Anna the Unicorn.

Her arrival drove the kids completely crazy.

They watched the elegant little animal from a distance, not daring to get too close for fear of disturbing her.

At this moment, George and Fred, quite pleased with themselves, each took a clean carrot and dried it off, and walked over.

However, Anna ignored the two of them and walked straight towards Qin Yu.

……

The gathering at Hagrid's cabin ended promptly before dinner began.

Before the game ended, Charlie, who had finished tidying up the Quidditch pitch, also came here.

He first instructed his two younger brothers not to cause Hagrid any more trouble, which drew a slight response from George and Fred.

Then, he talked to Qin Yu about the selection process.

Charlie said Professor McGonagall suggested that Qin Yu play the seeker position instead of the batter.

"Why?" Qin Yu was slightly taken aback.

“Because you are indeed quite fast,” Charlie said, shrugging.

"No!" Qin Yu shook his head violently upon hearing this, rejecting the suggestion.

Before participating in this selection, Qin Yu actually had certain expectations for the Seeker, thinking that this position, which could turn the tide of the game single-handedly, was awesome, because the Seeker could bring his team a 150-point advantage as long as he caught the Golden Snitch. However, after today's selection, he realized that the Batter was the position he wanted.

Since Qin Yu insisted, Charlie naturally didn't press the matter further. After all, their team wasn't short of Seekers for the time being, and he could always wait until he graduated next year and have Professor McGonagall persuade him.

So, before Hagrid could even show off his culinary skills, Qin Yu led a few clueless kids away from Hagrid's hut.
