Harry Potter: This senior is pretty strong
Chapter 199: Reduced Class Hours, Heading to a Banquet
It was late at night.
On the empty plain, the trees, stripped of all their leaves, stood bare, their branches sprawling and menacing, as if they might spring to life at any moment and transform into terrifying tree monsters.
A pitch-black crow flew to a dark branch in the pitch-black night.
Suddenly, a small, dark figure appeared under the tree.
The crow was startled and flew away.
The creaking sound broke the silence of the night, and in turn startled the figure under the tree, causing the figure to flinch briefly.
"I thought you weren't coming, Mr. Malfoy."
A voice suddenly rang out.
Immediately, a figure draped in a black robe and wearing a dark gold mask appeared in the distance.
"Teacher?!" Malfoy's surprise was palpable.
Clearly, the crow had indeed frightened him.
"I'm sorry, teacher. I ran into Filch when I sneaked out. His cat almost spotted me, which is why I was late... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have made excuses. I promise I won't be late again next time!"
Malfoy quickly explained the reason for his lateness, his attitude very proper.
"Extra explanations are indeed useless. What I want to see is that you are worth my time to teach."
The masked man in black robes said in an icy tone.
Then, getting straight to the point, they began to examine Malfoy's progress in magical studies over the past period.
It must be said that Draco Malfoy is quite good among his peers. His learning of magical theory and mastery of basic spells are both commendable.
"It seems you didn't neglect your magic this holiday just because you were busy playing with your little followers."
"You little buddies? Are you Crabbe and Goyle? But I haven't seen them during the holidays..."
"..."
"I'm sorry, teacher, I understand now. You were just using those words to encourage and motivate me!"
"...Well, that's good. You're not so stupid as to be beyond redemption."
"I will definitely remember your teachings and will not neglect my studies in magic!"
"Enough with the small talk, let me tell you what problems you've been having lately and help you solve them."
"Okay, thank you so much, teacher!"
Next, Malfoy raised one question after another that he had encountered while learning magic, and each time he received an easy answer from the mysterious teacher, which was always very accurate and insightful.
In just over half an hour, Malfoy gained a lot.
"Alright, that's all for today." The masked man in black robes said coldly after answering the questions.
"Thank you, teacher. You've worked hard." Malfoy bowed slightly and said sincerely.
To everyone's surprise, the mysterious teacher nodded and said quietly, "I have indeed worked very hard."
"..."
Malfoy's heart skipped a beat, a bad feeling creeping over him. In his haste, he blurted out, "Master, you're not planning to stop teaching me, are you?!"
With the guidance of this mysterious teacher, he has made great strides in his magical studies and has become the star of the class, even more "dazzling" than Harry Potter (in his own opinion)!
Without the teacher's help, what will I do in the future?
Am I going to become that ordinary, noble, pure-blooded young master of the Malfoy family all over again?
No, I really can't accept it!
Malfoy grew increasingly anxious, almost to the point of lunging forward and grabbing the mysterious teacher's leg to beg him.
However, he dared not. He was afraid that this ill-tempered teacher would cast a spell and send him flying into the oak trunk, where he would slide down the trunk like a tattered sack to the ground.
"It seems you still really need me as your teacher?" the masked man in black robes said with a hint of amusement.
"I need you, I need you so much! Teacher, I can't live without you! Without you, there's no point in me staying at Hogwarts!" Malfoy said emotionally.
"Heh, I can feel the sincerity in your words, and I understand the reason for your sincerity. However, I like people with fighting spirit, even if your fighting spirit seems very naive to me," the masked man in black robes said slowly.
"Then you..." Malfoy seemed to understand but not quite, but hope was rekindled in his heart.
"When I said it was tiring, it wasn't because I wanted to end my guidance of you, but because I planned to change our weekly meetings to monthly ones. You should know that I'm not a very leisurely person, and teaching you is also a very tiring thing," the masked man in black robes said indifferently.
“No problem, teacher! I cherish it even if it’s only once a month!” This answer delighted Malfoy.
After all, once a month is better than none at all.
"Well, that means you need to keep your questions concise. For those long-winded, rambling questions that lack depth, I hope you can find the answers yourself first, so as not to waste each other's time. I hope you can do that."
"I will, I promise to do as you say."
Malfoy felt ashamed when faced with the mysterious teacher's request.
After all, after listening to the teacher's explanation, he did realize that he could figure out those difficult problems on his own if he thought about them more. He might have subconsciously relied too much on the teacher's guidance.
"Very well, it's settled then. See you at midnight on the second Friday of every month from now on, my dear Mr. Malfoy!"
After saying this, the masked man in the black robe disappeared without waiting for Malfoy's response.
"Teacher, I will try my best!" Malfoy wanted to shout at the top of his lungs, but he tried his best to lower his voice so as not to be discovered by others.
Now that his teacher was gone, Malfoy put away his wand, put on his hood, and left.
With a flutter, the crows that had flown away landed on the branches again.
The fields under the cover of night returned to their dark and tranquil state.
……
Reducing the tutoring sessions with Malfoy to once a month made Qin Yu very happy.
He wasn't simply being lazy; there were other reasons behind it.
Firstly, his own time was indeed limited, and secondly, Malfoy was too reliant on him, this "mysterious old man."
Although many of the questions this kid asked were quite difficult, they were not questions that Qin Yu, who had been teaching him for so long, should be asking.
Once a month is a good opportunity to force Malfoy to think more independently, instead of accumulating all his questions to ask during the meeting, which would be a waste of everyone's time.
After Qin Yu lay down, he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. When he woke up, it was already Saturday morning.
He hurriedly got up, went to the common lounge area, and went to the Great Hall to have a meal with Hermione, who was waiting there.
Harry, Ron, and Adam arrived late, just as they were finishing their breakfast.
Ron was complaining to Harry with a long face about having to go to Hagrid's for a "rock cake feast" later. Harry's face was equally unpleasant, clearly not understanding why Hagrid would torture them with this kind of food.
"Should we bring a hammer? That way we can smash the rock crust into pieces," Ron suggested in despair.
“What we might need is a saw; a hammer will only make it stronger with repeated hammering,” Harry offered a different opinion.
So the two of them had a heated discussion about what tools they should bring to the banquet, while Adam watched them with his usual smile, as if he found it to be a very interesting matter.
"You guys take your time eating. Hermione and I will go help Hagrid first. Don't worry, I'll tell Hagrid to make the rock cakes a little softer." Before leaving, Qin Yu didn't forget to kindly "reassur" them.
This obviously had no effect.
“It’s no use. Even if it’s softer, we still can’t bite it,” Harry said, pursing his lips.
“Yes, Hagrid’s understanding of food is completely different from ours,” Ron added.
Qin Yu left happily, not telling them that Hagrid had mastered a magical Eastern naan-making technique, which was why he couldn't wait to throw a "rock crust naan feast".
As he led the little witch slowly to the cabin next to the Forbidden Forest, he happened to see Hagrid leading the Weasley twins out of the Forbidden Forest, each of them happily carrying a glass jar.
The jar contained a bright green liquid.
Wow, it's a pure light green color; it's definitely the venom of an eight-eyed giant spider that's over ten years old.
Qin Yu was, after all, an agent (middleman) for the Forbidden Forest products of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, so he could easily recognize this kind of top-quality goods.
