Harry Potter: This senior is pretty strong
Chapter 121 Qin, your smile is so wicked!
When Qin Yu and Hermione entered the Gryffindor dormitory area through the doorway behind the portrait of the Fat Lady, there was still some time before bedtime.
Normally, Hermione would go straight back to get ready for bed and wash up.
However, because Qin Yu stood her up after school today, she asked him to tutor her in the common rest area, claiming that she hadn't finished her studies.
"After all, it's not convenient to talk in the library, and I had so many questions I didn't get a chance to ask," Hermione explained.
"Okay, I have nothing to do when I get back anyway." Qin Yu naturally had no objections.
Spending more time with Hermione is better than going back to the dorm and hanging out with those guys.
"Okay, I'll go back and get the book, I'll be right back."
After saying this, Hermione went back to get her things in a very good mood.
Qin Yu also took advantage of this break to go back to his dormitory, put his things down, and change into some more casual clothes.
After doing all that, he glanced at the few idle kids, shook his head and sighed with a mixture of disdain and pity, and then prepared to go find his little girl.
You know what, his life in his second year at Hogwarts was much better than his first year! After all, he had Hermione with him.
With these thoughts in mind, Qin Yu picked up his usual quill pen and returned to the Gryffindor common rest area.
Hermione also happened to come out of the girls' dormitory area at that moment.
The little girl was quick; in no time at all, she had changed into a light blue pajama set. Qin Yu was quite familiar with this pajama set; Hermione often wore it at home.
Seeing Qin Yu waiting there, Hermione quickly ran over with a few books in her arms.
Her fair face flushed slightly from exercising.
This made Qin Yu want to pinch that cute face.
However, there were still other people in the public rest area, so he restrained his impulse, took the books from Hermione, and pulled her to sit in a quieter corner.
"Which course should we start with?" Qin Yu asked after sitting down.
"How about The History of Magic?" Hermione held up the book written by Bathilda Bagshot.
This is the designated textbook for the first-year History of Magic course at Hogwarts.
"..." Looking at the book, Qin Yu hesitated for a moment, speechless.
"Hehe, I'll save it for last, since this class is easy to fall asleep in." Hermione stuck out her tongue and put down "History of Magic".
This little girl was clearly teasing Qin Yu on purpose, and she looked smug after her little prank succeeded.
Qin Yu could only shake his head helplessly. There was nothing he could do about it. He couldn't very well punish her by spanking her, as that would make him seem petty.
“Then… let’s go with Potions. There are a few questions I didn’t ask you in the library. Let me find my notes…” Hermione took out another book and a notebook filled with writing.
"Yes, I quite like Potions." Qin Yu studied the courses taught by his "big brother" Professor Snape quite diligently.
So Hermione asked Qin Yu for advice on some questions that had accumulated over the past two days.
Qin Yu, on the other hand, explained everything in great detail and in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
Although some questions are not things that younger students should care about, in order to help Hermione understand the direction and context of her studies, he will extend the knowledge to a greater depth. Of course, this will inevitably put a strain on the young girl's brain, making it work at full capacity and consuming a lot of energy.
At this moment, the "rainbow lollipops" that Qin Yu had prepared once again served to ward off hunger and replenish energy.
After Qin Yu gave her a lollipop, Hermione sucked on the candy, the sweetness bringing a sense of happiness that made her occasionally squint and enjoy it before refocusing on her rapid mental work.
And just like that, the course was quickly finished.
Looking at Hermione's Potions notebook, Qin Yu couldn't help but praise, "Your notes are very good, very detailed."
Receiving the praise, Hermione said happily, "Hehe, really? I thought you would think my questions were too simple and childish."
Upon hearing this, Qin Yu shook his head and solemnly said, "On the contrary, there are some issues that I didn't realize when I was in class, and many of them are issues that can help me avoid falling into learning pitfalls. If I understand these issues one by one, I believe that even an ordinary student can learn this course well."
The problems Hermione encountered in her recent classes were indeed something he hadn't anticipated when he had guided her through the pre-class preparation.
"Really? Then I must be really amazing!" Hermione said proudly, tilting her head up.
"Of course! Don't you know who Hermione Granger's sister is?" Qin Yu chuckled and ruffled her hair.
"Tch, I'm not your sister, I'm Granger!" the little girl muttered.
Of course, after saying this, she didn't dwell on the issue. Instead, she took out another book and another notebook and said to Qin Yu, "Qin Yu, you are definitely not my brother. Let's talk about herbal medicine next."
"Okay..." Qin Yu smiled and ignored Hermione's unusually long qualifier.
As he spoke, he casually picked up Hermione's herbalism notes.
Looking at the questions above, Qin Yu suddenly seemed to have grasped an idea. Then, he rubbed his chin, the corners of his mouth gradually turned up, and a playful expression appeared in his eyes.
Study notes from top students, collections of wrong answers... these are truly nostalgic memories.
"Qin... your smile is so wicked..." Hermione said, leaning away from the guy.
“Miss Granger, you have no idea what you have brought to Hogwarts! The future students of Hogwarts will remember your name and surname!” Qin Yu said to Hermione in a deep voice that seemed to be full of charm.
"Huh?!" The little girl was completely bewildered.
That bewildered yet slightly worried expression was incredibly adorable.
Faced with Hermione's almost unfair cuteness, Qin Yu finally couldn't resist reaching out and pinching her little cheek.
—Well, there aren't many people in the public rest area now, so you can do something without being easily noticed.
"She's saying weird things again..." Hermione pouted, saying with a hint of helplessness.
"Haha, let's not talk about that for now. Give me a copy of all your notes later, and I'll organize and summarize them," Qin Yu said cheerfully.
“Okay, I got it. Now, can you tell me about herbalism? I really have so many questions to ask,” Hermione urged.
Generally speaking, once he's touched her head and pinched her face, Qin should be satisfied and get down to business. That's the little girl's experience.
Sure enough, Qin Yu nodded, clapped his hands, and continued the explanation that had just been interrupted.
"Hmph, what an easily satisfied fellow," Hermione thought dismissively to herself as she listened to his explanation.
