The morning sunlight streamed through the sheer curtains into the bedroom, casting dappled shadows on the floor.

Su Maiqi slowly opened her eyes, her consciousness gradually returning.

She reached out to touch her side, only to find that Gu Tingyu was no longer in bed, nor was the child.

She sat up gently and rubbed her sleepy eyes.

The room was quiet, with only faint sounds coming from afar and the occasional laughter of Xiao Chengze.

A delicious aroma of food wafted into the bedroom, awakening her taste buds.

Su Maiqi glanced at the alarm clock on the bedside table; it was already 7:40.

She doesn't usually sleep this late; she must have been too tired last night.

Thinking about last night, her cheeks couldn't help but feel a little hot.

That feeling of intimacy, that warmth of being surrounded by love, seems to still linger in every cell of my body.

She got out of bed, put on her bathrobe, quickly combed her long hair, and then tiptoed out of the bedroom.

In the living room, Gu Tingyu was busy in the open kitchen, skillfully flipping food in a frying pan while playing with little Chengze, who was sitting in a high chair.

The little one, wearing a light blue onesie, patted the chair tray with his little hands, responding to his father's teasing with babbling, his smile radiant.

Sunlight streamed in through the large French windows, bathing the father and son in a soft golden glow, like a loving oil painting.

Gu Tingyu seemed to notice her gaze, looked up at her, and smiled warmly: "Good morning, did you sleep well?"

Su Maiqi nodded and walked into the kitchen: "Good morning. How long have you been up?"

"Not long," Gu Tingyu said, placing the fried omelet on a plate. "The little guy woke up around six o'clock, and I was afraid of disturbing your rest, so I brought him out first."

She walked up to Xiao Chengze, bent down, and kissed his forehead: "Good morning, my little star."

Little Chengze immediately waved his little hands excitedly, his eyes sparkling, and mumbled "Mama" with a joyful expression.

"Please sit down, breakfast will be ready soon," Gu Tingyu said, putting the last slice of toast into the toaster.

Su Maiqi walked to the dining table and found that two sets of tableware had already been set on the table, along with a small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and a cup of steaming coffee.

"You've done so much?" She looked at the busy Gu Tingyu with some surprise.

He smiled slightly: "The ingredients are all readily available, and the refrigerator is well-stocked."

Su Maiqi then remembered that Lin Manlin had stuffed the refrigerator full of various ingredients.

Gu Tingyu served breakfast one by one: omelets, bacon, toast, fruit salad, and a small dish of Greek yogurt.

Although they are all simple Western breakfasts, the presentation is exquisite and the color scheme is very pleasing.

They began to enjoy breakfast, and the food tasted surprisingly good.

The omelet was soft and delicious, the bacon was crispy but not overcooked, the toast was toasted just right, and the fruit salad was refreshing and delicious.

"It's delicious," Su Maiqi praised sincerely.

Gu Tingyu smiled slightly, a hint of pleasure flashing in his eyes: "Your liking is the greatest reward."

The two ate their meal in peace. Xiao Chengze sat in a high chair next to them, and Gu Tingyu prepared a small bowl of soft porridge and a few pieces of fruit for him.

After dinner, Gu Tingyu looked at Su Maiqi and said earnestly, "You can focus on your work. I'll stay here with Chengze for a while. I'll take him out to explore Paris during the day. It's all the same whether you're taking care of a child or not, so I'll treat it as a vacation. Finally, I don't have to worry about work."

He spoke casually, his face full of pleasure, but Su Maiqi's feelings were complicated. She had a thousand words in her heart, but in the end, she said nothing, only nodding and whispering, "Thank you."

As if he could read Su Maiqi's mind, Gu Tingyu added, "I really enjoy every day I spend with Xiao Chengze."

Although it's tiring, seeing his smiling face and hearing him call me "Dad" brings me true fulfillment. I'm so grateful to have had this experience in my life.

Su Maiqi looked up, met his sincere gaze, and nodded gently: "I have to get ready for work now. I hope you all had a good time today."

Gu Tingyu smiled and said, "Of course, my son and I will get along very well. I've already looked up nearby attractions and places suitable for taking a child; I plan to take him to the Luxembourg Gardens today."

Su Maiqi returned to her bedroom and chose a dark blue business suit that was both professional and elegant.

She paired it with a simple silver necklace and a pair of comfortable beige high heels.

Standing in front of the dressing table, I looked at myself in the mirror and seemed a little different from yesterday—my eyes were brighter, the corners of my mouth were slightly upturned, and I radiated an inner glow.

She knew it was because of the deep-seated sense of fulfillment from being loved and understood.

After finishing her makeup, she returned to the living room and found that Gu Tingyu had already cleared the dining table and dressed Xiao Chengze in an adorable outfit for going out—a light yellow onesie with a blue jacket and a small sun hat.

"Look who's so handsome!" Su Maiqi squatted down and pinched Xiao Chengze's chubby cheeks, making the little guy giggle.

“We plan to take Mom to work, and then go to the park,” Gu Tingyu said. “I also wanted to familiarize myself with the route from here to your company.”

Su Maiqi was a little surprised: "You're going to drive me to work?"

“Yes,” Gu Tingyu nodded, a smile in his eyes, “Now that we’re in Paris, we should act like a true Parisian husband, taking his wife to work and picking her up from get off work, shouldn’t we?”

These words warmed Su Maiqi's heart.

"Okay, then I'll leave it to you two, father and son," she said with a smile, trying to hide the excitement in her heart.

The three of them walked out of the apartment together. The sun was shining brightly, the air was fresh, and it put them in a good mood.

On his way to the company, Xiao Chengze excitedly looked at the scenery along the roadside and occasionally made cheerful noises.

Gu Tingyu carefully explained the sights and buildings they passed by to Su Maiqi, just like a professional tour guide.

“That’s the Pantheon,” he said, pointing to a magnificent building outside the window, “the resting place of outstanding figures in French history. We can visit it together sometime.”

"When did you start researching so many Parisian attractions?" Su Maiqi asked curiously.

Gu Tingyu smiled slightly: "When I decided to come see you, I started doing my homework. I was thinking of being a good tour guide for you and Xiao Chengze."

This detail touched Su Maiqi's heart once again.

He always did this, arranging everything perfectly and considering every detail, making her feel incredibly secure and valued.

Soon, amidst laughter and chatter, they arrived at the company building.

Su Maiqi checked the time; it was ten minutes to nine, just before she had to go to work.

Gu Tingyu waved to Xiao Chengze, holding his hand: "Say goodbye to Mommy, see you tonight."

Su Maiqi kissed Xiao Chengze's little face, entered the company building, and felt full of energy.
