Chapter 347 Spring Breeze Caresses the Face

The sun was shining brightly in the zoo, and a gentle breeze was blowing.

The calls of various animals intertwined to create a wonderful symphony, and the air was filled with the fragrance of grass and flowers.

Duoduo and Lin Manlin ran happily ahead hand in hand, stopping to observe the alpaca and then being attracted by the mandarin ducks swimming in the lake.

"Duoduo! Come and see this little panda!" Lin Manlin squatted in front of the fence and waved excitedly to the little girl.

Duoduo immediately rushed over like a gust of wind, her little face flushed from running, her eyes sparkling with curiosity: "Where? Where?"

"Look there, on the branch!" Lin Manlin pointed to a tall tree where a little panda was lazily lying on a branch, grasping bamboo with its little paws, its movements nimble and adorable.

"Wow! How cute!" exclaimed Duoduo, jumping up excitedly. "Aunt Lin Manlin, it's eating bamboo!"

Lin Manlin, like a child, squatted by the fence, took out her phone to take pictures, her face full of pure joy: "It looks like a little pom-pom, chubby and so cute!"

Lin Manlin and Duoduo lingered in front of the red panda exhibit for a long time, like two innocent children, deeply attracted by these adorable little creatures.

After leaving the panda enclosure, Lin Manlin glanced at Su Mailou and Mo Yan walking side by side not far behind her, a sly smile playing on her lips.

"Come on, Duoduo, let's go see the giraffes!" She took the little girl's hand and deliberately quickened her pace. "I heard you can feed the giraffes here!"

"Really?" Dodo's eyes lit up. "Great! I want to feed the giraffe myself!"

The two quickly disappeared around the corner, leaving Su Mailou and Mo Yan following behind at a leisurely pace.

Lin Manlin glanced back and nodded in satisfaction.

She knows her friend too well.

Although Su Mairou appears strong on the surface, she is often hesitant inside, especially when it comes to relationships.

Back at the hotel last night, Lin Manlin keenly sensed the change in her friend's emotions—the subtle stirrings and struggles, the faint anticipation and trepidation, were all written in her eyes and hidden in her soft sighs.

Mo Yan, this calm and reserved man, could sense the tenderness and affection in his eyes for Su Mairou, even from the most oblivious person.

The only obstacle was Su Mairou's heart, which had been built into a high wall because of old wounds.

But Lin Manlin believes that this wall is slowly loosening.

She was willing to be the one to facilitate this, creating more opportunities for these two people who were attracted to each other but hesitated to take the next step.

"I know she likes Mo Yan," Lin Manlin thought, turning her gaze back to Duoduo, who was running further and further away. "She just needs a little time and a little help."

With a smile on her lips, she took Duoduo's little hand and walked towards the giraffe area.

Behind them, Su Mailou and Mo Yan slowly followed, maintaining a perfect distance between them—neither too far nor too close, enough to feel each other's presence without being too intimate.

Sunlight filters through the gaps in the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground. A gentle breeze brings a sense of freshness and tranquility.

"Duoduo and Manlin are having a lot of fun," Mo Yan said softly, gazing tenderly at the two figures in the distance.

Su Mairou smiled and nodded: "Yes, Manlin is like a child who never grows up, always full of curiosity about the world. She and Duoduo always get along well."

"This childlike innocence is truly precious." Mo Yan lamented, "Many people, after growing up, leave their curious hearts somewhere, never to be found again."

Su Mairou turned to look at him, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes: "You think so too?"

Mo Yan smiled slightly: "Of course. A childlike heart isn't naivety, but rather an attitude towards the world—curiosity, enthusiasm, and purity. I admire those who can maintain this attitude."

He paused, his gaze softening as he looked at Su Mailou's face: "Like Duoduo, like Lin Manlin, and like you."

Su Mairou felt her cheeks slightly flushed: "Me? I'm already a monotonous and boring mother, where's my childlike heart anymore?"

"You're wrong," Mo Yan said softly. "I can see that in front of Duoduo, you'll let down your guard and reveal your truest self—Su Mailou, who still has high hopes for beautiful things and passion for life."

A gentle breeze blew by, ruffling the strands of hair at Su Mairou's temples.

She gently tucked them behind her ears, feeling a ripple of emotion stir within her.

This man always seemed to be able to see through her heart and understand her emotions, which made her feel both warm and somewhat uneasy.

She lay in bed last night, thinking for a very long time.

About love, about marriage, about my own fear of dependence.

She suddenly realized that her fear of getting hurt was essentially because deep down she longed to depend on a man and to entrust her happiness to another person.

It was this dependence and commitment that made her feel incredibly painful and helpless when her marriage broke down.

But if she is independent enough, both financially and emotionally, and if she no longer builds her happiness on others, then love is no longer a burden, but a pure experience.

Cherish what you have, feel sad when you lose it, but it won't be fatal.

This realization made her feel as if a heavy burden had been lifted, and she felt an unprecedented sense of ease.

She wanted to be an independent, brave woman who dared to experience love, and to be a good role model for Duoduo.

Instead of a wounded, wary, and lonely mother.

With this in mind, Su Mairou felt a long-lost sense of lightness and ease when facing Mo Yan again.

It's as if she's returned to her teenage years, where she can simply enjoy the excitement and beauty of being with someone of the opposite sex without having to label the feeling or worry about the possibilities of the future.

"What are you thinking about?" Mo Yan's voice pulled her back to reality.

Su Mairou gently shook her head, a faint smile appearing on her lips: "It's nothing, I just think the sunshine is beautiful today."

Mo Yan nodded, a gentle light shining in his eyes: "Yes, the sunshine is beautiful today."

They continued walking, and from a short distance came Duoduo's excited shouts: "Mommy! Uncle Mo! Come quick! The giraffe is eating leaves!"

Su Mairou quickened her pace, with Mo Yan following closely behind.

The two arrived at the giraffe enclosure, where they saw Duoduo standing next to Lin Manlin, holding a leaf in her hand and carefully extending it towards the fence.

A tall giraffe gracefully lowered its head and used its long tongue to swipe away a leaf, eliciting a delighted scream from Duoduo.

"Mommy! I fed the giraffe! Its tongue is so long and soft!" Duoduo jumped up excitedly, showing Su Mairou her little hands that had just been licked.

Su Mailou walked over with a smile, took out a wet wipe and wiped her daughter's hands: "Great job! Our Duoduo has become a little caretaker!"

Lin Manlin stood to the side, her gaze sweeping back and forth between Mo Yan and Su Mairou, a sly glint in her eyes.

She noticed that Su Mailou was a completely different person today than yesterday—her every move was less tense and more natural, and even when she looked at Mo Yan, her eyes no longer showed that deliberate avoidance, but rather a gentle acceptance.

"Interesting," Lin Manlin thought to herself, "It seems last night's conversation really worked."

She quietly took out her phone and, under the guise of taking pictures of Duoduo and the giraffe, secretly aimed it at Mo Yan and Su Mairou not far away.

At this moment, Mo Yan was leaning down and talking to Su Mairou. Their faces looked particularly soft in the sunlight, with tall giraffes and lush green trees in the background, creating a warm and harmonious scene.

With a click, Lin Manlin captured this moment.

She quickly checked the photo, nodded in satisfaction, then opened her chat with Su Maiqi, sent the photo, and added a "Yay!" emoji.

"The plan is going smoothly," she thought to herself, looking at the tender gaze Mo Yan gave Su Mailou in the photo. "These two will be together sooner or later."
