At Emperor Wen's command, guards came to drag Bai Shu away.

He stretched out his long arm to shield Xiao Nanzhi behind him, his eyes almost spitting fire.

Bai Shu not only showed contempt for the emperor, but also trampled on the dignity of Ji Huaili, the ruler of a country.

However, Bai Shu had only one obsession in her heart.

He had cast aside all notions of imperial majesty and strict laws; all he wanted was to get an explanation and a clear answer.

Why did Xiao Nanzhi marry someone else?

"Why, tell me why?" Bai Shu stepped forward, her breath unsteady, blood dripping from her body onto the ground, staining the clean floor red.

Xiao Nanzhi was so frightened that her face turned as white as a sheet, and her eyes were filled with fear.

Chaos reigned in the palace, and Emperor Wen's face was so gloomy it seemed as if water could drip from it.

Just then, a young eunuch announced from outside the hall: "The King of Chu has arrived, the Queen Consort of Chu has arrived."
