Rescuing the Villainous Boss with a Little Dirty Master
Chapter 176 This villain is strange 16
It was at this moment that Jiang Heng finally saw the paper effigy clearly. A round head made of rough white paper, with hastily cut black paper forming simple hair, covering the top like bangs blown away by the wind. Two round clumps were pasted on either side of the head, barely qualifying as hair tufts.
Jiang Heng casually picked some weeds today and stuck them between her left tuft of hair and her head.
The two black eyes were drawn fairly carefully, but the mouth looked like a casually added stroke. At this moment, the red stroke rose upwards, its arc becoming larger and larger.
What was originally a somewhat eerie and unsettling scene now appears rather adorably ugly, thanks to a weed and a small flower as a backdrop.
Seeing that Jiang Heng stood still, the paper effigy waved its hand again, gesturing to him with the flower. A sudden rustling sound rang out again, this time louder, and the paper effigy's figure became somewhat unsteady.
Jiang Heng pointed to herself, "For me?"
The paper effigy nodded cautiously and extended the flower in its hand a little further forward. Just as Jiang Heng was about to step forward, Wei Shenglan grabbed her wrist.
"Be careful of fraud."
As soon as he finished speaking, the paper effigy suddenly turned its head to look at Wei Shenglan, the smile on its lips fell, and its lifeless eyes stared straight at him.
Jiang Heng chuckled and patted Wei Shenglan's hand. "It's so cute, it wouldn't lie to me."
With a "whoosh," the paper effigy turned its head back to look at Jiang Heng, its lips curving upwards again, revealing an inexplicable air of docility.
"Look how cute it is."
Wei Shenglan stared at the increasingly bizarre paper effigy with a stern face, once again wondering if there was a generation gap between him and Jiang Heng...
But he didn't stop them any further. After all, he knew perfectly well whether the paper effigy was dangerous.
Jiang Heng walked to the window and bent down slightly to take the small flower, but the paper effigy dodged her. It tried to raise its hand high, as if to tuck the flower behind Jiang Heng's ear, mimicking Jiang Heng's actions towards it that afternoon.
Jiang Heng smiled and bent down slightly, allowing the paper effigy to easily insert the small flower into her hair and secure it behind her ear.
He flicked the weeds off the round head with his finger. "You came all this way to bring me flowers?"
The paper effigy turned its head to look in the direction of the back mountain, then turned back, gave Jiang Heng a creepy smile, nodded, and began to sway and descend.
Jiang Heng curiously peeked out, wanting to see how it got up there, but was stunned by what she saw.
Good heavens! Looking down from his window, there was a row of paper effigies stacked like Arhats, some even flattened. No wonder I kept hearing rustling sounds; they probably couldn't stand up straight.
Jiang Heng watched helplessly as the paper effigy that had climbed up his window descended along the rows of paper figures, and the remaining paper effigies followed suit one by one.
As soon as all the paper figures landed, the paper figure with weeds stuck in it looked up and waved at him, and the other paper figures followed suit.
Jiang Heng leaned against the window and waved her hands like the paper figures, and only then did the paper figures leave satisfied.
886 pondered as he looked at Jiang Heng's attribute panel in his consciousness space. Is this what they call "making a living off one's looks"? This skill is truly amazing.
Jiang Heng remained perched on the windowsill, turning back to smile brightly at Wei Shenglan, "They're so cute! You're amazing!"
The little flower tucked behind his ear trembled slightly with his movements, looking incredibly cute.
Wei Shenglan adjusted his glasses and decided to go back and design a new instance.
Once the paper effigy had completely disappeared, Jiang Heng stood up, closed the window again, but instead of returning to bed, she continued to stand by the window.
He wanted to know if the ferocious beast that Uncle Fu had mentioned actually existed.
Next door was Wang Wei and Qin Yun's room. The noise from the paper doll making wasn't quiet, but the two of them didn't hear a sound. Qin Yun was on night watch for the first half of the night. She looked at Wang Wei, who was lying on her side and fast asleep, and shook her head with amusement.
The person had said they were scared before going to sleep, but they fell asleep in just a short while. The sound of their heavy breathing made her feel drowsy too.
Qin Yun turned to face the window, her eyes half-open as she gazed at the faded paper-cut window decorations, her eyes tracing the patterns in them, trying to dispel her drowsiness.
Is the pattern on this paper-cut window decoration... a deer?
Suddenly, a dark shadow appeared below the window. Qin Yun rubbed her eyes, thinking she was seeing things. When she opened her eyes again, she saw that the shadow reflected on the window was getting bigger and bigger until it covered the entire window.
She took a deep breath, slowly got out of bed, avoided the view through the window, and squatted down close to the wall.
Qin Yun looked up at the dark shadow and saw it moving forward until it was completely away from the window. She pressed herself against the window and looked out through the gaps in the window lattice. She saw a creature with antlers, brown fur, and about two stories tall walking on its hind legs on the walkway outside.
From her perspective, she couldn't see what it looked like, but she could still feel an immense sense of oppression. It was simply enormous. Strangely, it made no sound as it stepped on the ground.
Just as Qin Yun was about to open the window wider, the thing suddenly turned its head to look in her direction. Qin Yun wasn't sure if she and the thing had made eye contact when it suddenly lunged at her. Her pupils constricted, she shouted Wang Wei's name, and immediately ran towards the door.
The window was smashed open by a giant hand, the shattering sound almost deafening.
Wolf?!
Wolf-faced deer antlers?
As the enormous head peered in, Qin Yun finally saw its face clearly. She placed her right hand on the doorknob, trying to open the door, but no matter how hard she pressed the handle, the door wouldn't open, as if something was pressing down on it from behind.
All the noise couldn't wake Wang Wei, who was lying in bed.
The creature's gaze was fixed on Qin Yun's direction. Qin Yun watched as it narrowed its eyes, and several sharp eyebrows branched out from its antlers, shooting straight towards her.
Qin Yun seemed frozen in place, her eyes wide as she stared blankly at the dense brows rushing towards her.
In the last second before she fainted, she seemed to hear a piercing wail.
Qin Yun regained consciousness amidst a swaying motion, her mind still reeling from the sharp object that had shot towards her. She abruptly opened her eyes, instinctively leaning back, only to find herself back in bed.
In my line of sight, Wang Wei and four other people were standing by the bed.
"Xiaoyun, how are you?"
Wang Wei helped Qin Yun up with a worried expression. When she woke up, she saw Qin Yun lying by the door, and she couldn't wake her up no matter what she did. She had no choice but to call the people next door.
After confirming that she was alright, they did not leave, but instead each found a corner in the room to wait.
Qin Yun's coma was anything but ordinary.
