JOJO: Bizarre Adventure

Chapter 178 Diablo the Guide

Diablo was terrified when he saw someone blocking his way.

However, he quickly composed himself and put on a fearful and anxious expression.

"Fire over there! Quick, go put it out..."

Since Kars took control of the Earth, such things have become quite common, so the two of them did not suspect anything.

While he was using this method to attract their attention, he was also preparing to launch a sneak attack with his knife.

He would not hesitate to kill the two uninvited guests whenever he had the chance.

"What, do you want to go take a look?"

One of the tall women turned to ask the man next to her.

The man looked listless, but he still nodded.

"Let's go take a look."

He repeated the woman's words.

The two passed by Diablo without noticing anything unusual about him.

Seemingly sensing that the time was right, Diablo gripped his dagger and thrust it at the man first.

This strike will be a fatal blow to his throat; it will surely take him down.

Just when he thought he had succeeded, the man in front of him suddenly disappeared!

Diablo reacted quickly; he began to doubt whether the person in front of him was even human.

If it's some kind of special race, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to deal with it.

But the sword has already been drawn, and it's too late to back out now.

Diablo turned around quickly, his blade slashing diagonally towards the tall woman.

Faced with the sudden attack, the woman kicked Diablo's long dagger away with a whip kick, then grabbed his neck and pinned him to the ground.

"Little brother, don't play with knives and guns with people casually, it's very dangerous."

Diablo had never encountered an opponent like this before, and he was truly at a loss in the face of this situation.

"Don't kill me...don't kill me!"

He had difficulty even speaking because someone was choking him.

"You must be Diablo."

Hearing the other person call out his name, Diablo panicked even more, as he had no recollection of ever seeing these two people before.

He considered himself quite intelligent, at least with a good memory.

But he had no recollection of either of them.

This suffocating feeling is second only to the Chinese New Year when a large group of relatives come to your house, and you have no recollection of them at all.

Now you know how terrifying this is.

"In that case, let's take him back."

The dejected-looking man spoke, and the tall woman took out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed Diablo.

"Don't worry, we're not police officers. We're just here to prevent you from escaping."

And so they led Diablo to a car.

After getting in the car, the woman drove in front, while the listless man sat in the back seat.

Right next to Diablo.

"Don't be nervous, we mean no harm."

We are members of [Hell], and we've come here specifically to find you.

Hell was a very well-known concept in Europe at the time.

If we were to ask who the true master of all of Europe is, it would undoubtedly be this king who exists in the underworld.

"Hell, why are you looking for me?"

The man still spoke in a languid tone:

"Our organization's 'prophet' has detected your existence; you will be a figure of unparalleled stature in the future."

He spoke in a nonchalant tone, uttering words that deeply shocked Diablo.

"I...I don't understand,"

"You don't need to understand. We'll take you back, and you'll find out then."

At this point, the man seemed to suddenly remember something.

"Oh right, I forgot to introduce myself to you."

My name is Loanke Merri, and I am a member of the Hell organization.

Although it should be kept secret, it doesn't really matter anymore.

He seemed completely unconcerned.

"I am the sin of sloth, one of the Seven Deadly Sins."

"Hey, you're a member of the Seven Deadly Sins! Don't just reveal your identity to outsiders!"

Loanke slumped in the back seat, his expression unchanged.

"Anyway, he's going to become a high-ranking member of the organization, so it doesn't matter if I tell him."

And young man, you'd better put your weapon back before I change my mind.

Diablo obediently put away the knife in his hand.

His sneak attack was a disastrous failure, ending in his demise before it even began.

"I told you, I won't hurt you as long as you cooperate. But if you insist on resisting, I will have to take action."

Diablo thought to himself:

"Dude, did you really say that?"

Luo Anke, on the other hand, was fearless and had nothing to fear.

"You can't hurt me; it would be easier for you to kill her."

Diablo didn't know how he came to this conclusion, but he believed it.

Based on his ability to suddenly disappear before, he absolutely deserves this statement.

"Remember this, it's called a 'stand-in,' and you'll have one too someday."

Loanke has already started giving the other party pointers, although his attitude isn't very good.

"However, you should know that everyone's Stand is different, and there is no Stand with completely identical abilities."

"But don't worry, although you may not acquire my power, you are the Demon King prophesied by Farinata, so your Stand shouldn't be weak."

This statement is somewhat self-praiseworthy, but there's not much wrong with what he said.

His Stand is indeed very strong, even close to being "invincible".

Of course, that's definitely not true invincibility; that would be tantamount to suicide.

"In short, we'll take you to awaken your Stand next, and then it'll be up to your fate."

"So, where are we going now?"

"Go catch a plane."

"But Sardinia doesn't have an airport."

"Private jet? Do you think even the officers of [Hell] need to buy plane tickets to go out?"

Diablo fell silent; he didn't know what to say.

It's normal that he's never been on a plane since he was born, given that it was the 1980s and it's not unusual for someone to have never flown in their entire life.

The car drove on and arrived at a desolate suburb.

A helicopter was parked here.

inside the car.

"Do you need to go downstairs and take care of this?"

Diablo was momentarily confused by Loanke's abrupt remark, but he soon seemed to realize something.

"Why don't you go? I don't need to go to England with you. This is entirely your task, it has nothing to do with me."

"Ugh...really, you're so heartless."

Loanke reluctantly opened the car door.

He stood in front of the car and spoke towards what appeared to be an empty space:

"Friend, come out, or you can just leave, that would be best. I don't want to fight you unless absolutely necessary."

Seeing that nothing had happened, he continued:

"If you remain obstinate, you won't be able to leave once I change my mind."

He wasn't testing them; he genuinely sensed the enemy.

But he showed no emotional fluctuation, because he knew he wouldn't lose...

Storyteller's Encyclopedia (Back):

Diablo in this world did not find the substitute arrow in Egypt, but in fact, this had no impact on the plot.

There are many "arrows," and even without a boss, there will be others to complete this mission.
