From cannon fodder villain to superpowered queen

“Wait a minute,” Bi Yao’s expression hardened, “I think I feel something…” Before she could finish speaking, an uneasy atmosphere spread.

The two arrived at a new charity site—a remote town called Qingxi Town.

They expected to receive a warm welcome as before, but instead, they were met with whispers and suspicious glances.

"I heard their charity is fake, just a way to scam money!"

"Yes, my neighbor's cousin's second uncle said that they didn't donate much money at all; they embezzled it all!"

Rumors spread rapidly through the town like a virus, leaving Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan completely bewildered, as if they were in the eye of the storm.

"What? What's going on? This rumor is spreading faster than 5G!" Bi Yao couldn't help but complain.

The once warm and simple villagers now look at them with suspicion and hostility.

The school principal, who was originally prepared to accept the donation, hesitated and said, "The school has sufficient funds recently and does not need the donation for the time being."

In the darkness in the distance, several figures slowly emerged, moving about like ghosts.

They were dressed in uniform black suits, with menacing masks on their faces, exuding a chilling aura.

"Hey, isn't this our great philanthropist Bi Yao? What's this, coming to this remote and impoverished place to put on a show?" the leader of the group said sarcastically, his tone full of mockery and disdain.

"Enough with the nonsense," Bi Yao sneered. "Who are you people? Why are you spreading rumors and sabotaging our charity work?"

“Who we are is not important,” another man chimed in, his tone even more arrogant. “What is important is that your good days are over! If you know what’s good for you, get out of Qingxi Town now, or else…” He deliberately dragged out the last syllable, the threat clear.

"Otherwise what? Want to make a move?" Jiang Ruiyuan stepped forward, shielding Bi Yao behind him, his sharp eyes sweeping over the people in front of him.

The atmosphere instantly became tense, like a taut string that could snap at any moment.

"Oh ho, you're quite protective of your master! But you two think you can fight us? It's like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, you're overestimating yourselves!" The men laughed wildly, as if they had heard the biggest joke in the world.

"Who said there are only two of us?" Bi Yao's lips curled into a cold smile, a sly glint in her eyes.

Just then, Jiang Ruiyuan made his move!

He moved with lightning speed, instantly appearing behind a man, grabbing his throat, and lifting him up.

"Tell me, who sent you?" His tone was icy, like a judgment from hell.

The man's face flushed red as he struggled desperately, but he couldn't break free from Jiang Ruiyuan's grip.

"Cough cough... I... I don't know anything..."

A glint of light flashed in Jiang Ruiyuan's eyes, and he tightened his grip slightly. "You won't talk? Then don't blame me for being impolite!"

"I'll talk! I'll talk!" the man shouted in terror, "It's...it's the Black Hawk Society..." Having obtained this crucial clue, Jiang Ruiyuan and Bi Yao exchanged a glance, both seeing the excitement in each other's eyes.

Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away in a luxurious villa, a burly man suddenly stood up, his face terribly grim.

"Useless! You can't even handle this little thing!" He slammed the wine glass in his hand to the ground, shards flying everywhere.

"Boss, what do we do now? That Jiang Ruiyuan is not someone to be trifled with..." a man standing next to him asked cautiously.

"Hmph, I'll see how much trouble he can cause!" A ruthless glint flashed in the man's eyes. "Pass down the order: stop them at all costs!"

Outside Qingxi Town, in a dilapidated warehouse, Bi Yao looked at Jiang Ruiyuan with admiration in her eyes.

"Ruiyuan, you are amazing!"

Jiang Ruiyuan smiled and said, "Now is not the time to be happy. We need to get to the Black Hawk Society's stronghold as soon as possible."

“Okay!” Bi Yao nodded without hesitation.

The two turned and left, disappearing into the night.

"I hope everything goes well..." Bi Yao said softly.

“We will,” Jiang Ruiyuan said, squeezing her hand tightly. “Trust me.”

The two of them resolutely stepped into the unknown darkness...

"Wait," Jiang Ruiyuan suddenly stopped, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily, "It seems someone is following us..."

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!" Several dark figures darted out from the shadows, as swift as cheetahs, and pounced straight at Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan.

"Coming here to get your head?" Bi Yao sneered, conjuring a dazzling ball of light in her hand and hurling it at the enemy.

With a loud "boom," the ball of light exploded, sending several dark figures flying.

"That's it? The Black Hawk Society is really lousy!" Bi Yao curled her lip in disdain.

"Don't be careless, Yao Yao!" Jiang Ruiyuan reminded him, brandishing his long sword, the sword light flashing like a silver snake dancing wildly, repelling the attacking enemies one by one.

"It seems the main culprit hasn't appeared yet!" As soon as he finished speaking, a powerful pressure came from afar, making people feel suffocated.

"They're here!" Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan exchanged a glance, ready for anything.

A mysterious figure dressed in a black cloak slowly approached, exuding a chilling aura.

"Are you Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan?" The mysterious man's voice was deep and menacing, like a demonic voice from hell.

“That’s right, it’s us. Who do you think you are?” Bi Yao retorted without fear.

"Hmph, you're courting death!" The mysterious man sneered, and with a sudden wave of his hand, the surrounding air instantly froze, and a powerful force imprisoned Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan in place.

"Yao Yao!" Jiang Ruiyuan cried out anxiously, struggling desperately, but to no avail.

"Don't worry, I'm fine!" Bi Yao gritted her teeth, trying her best to resist the powerful force.

"Crack!" A trickle of blood spilled from the corner of Bi Yao's mouth.

"Yao Yao!" Jiang Ruiyuan was heartbroken, his eyes filled with worry.

"Hmph, overestimating yourself!" The mysterious man sneered, about to continue his attack, when suddenly, a golden light descended from the sky, knocking him back several steps.

"Who is it?" the mysterious man shouted in alarm and anger.

A commotion arose in the crowd, and a man clad in golden armor slowly walked in, as if a god had descended to earth, majestic and awe-inspiring.

"Who are you?" the mysterious man asked warily.

"Who I am is not important. What is important is that you won't hurt them today!" The man's tone was icy, like a thousand years of ice.

A fierce battle erupted again, with the golden-armored man displaying formidable strength, on par with the mysterious figure.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Jiang Ruiyuan broke free from his restraints and rushed to Bi Yao's side, tenderly wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth.

"Does it hurt?" he asked gently.

"It's nothing, just a minor injury." Bi Yao shook her head, her eyes filled with gratitude.

The surrounding crowd watched from a distance, holding their breath in tension.

This battle is a matter of their fate.

Some people were worried, some were hopeful, and some cast envious glances, marveling at the deep affection between Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan.

In the end, the man in golden armor had a slight advantage and defeated the mysterious man.

"If I see you again, I won't let you off easily!" the golden-armored man warned coldly, then turned and left, disappearing into the night.

"Let's go too." Jiang Ruiyuan helped Bi Yao up, preparing to leave.

"Wait!" Bi Yao suddenly stopped, her gaze fixed on the distance with a grave expression. "I feel like this isn't over yet..."

Jiang Ruiyuan followed her gaze and saw a shooting star streak across the night sky in the distance, leaving behind an eerie trail of light...
