From cannon fodder villain to superpowered queen

Chapter 5: The heroine's clever and courageous counterattack thwarts the Jiang family's co

Jiang gave Bi Yao a cold look, her tone as cold as ice: "Someone, take this girl to the woodshed! From now on, she'll work there, and her monthly wages will be halved!" Jiang Yao covered her mouth and chuckled to herself, giving Bi Yao a smug and provocative look.

Bi Yao cursed inwardly (MMP is an uncivilized term, but it is translated literally here), but on the surface he remained calm, respectfully replied "Yes", and followed the servant to the woodshed.

The woodshed was small and dilapidated, and a musty smell wafted out, causing Bi Yao to frown.

The Jiang family is really going too far!

It's bad enough that they treated her as free labor, but now they've actually sent her to this godforsaken place!

She secretly vowed that she must find a way to change her fate as soon as possible, and she must not let them bully her anymore!

The woodshed was filled with miscellaneous items. While tidying up, Bi Yao unexpectedly discovered a locked wooden box.

Curiosity got the better of her, and she fiddled with the wire she found for a bit, and the lock clicked open.

The box was filled with ledgers and letters. Bi Yao casually flipped through them and discovered that these were actually evidence of Liu Fu's collusion with outside merchants!

Good heavens, this old bastard actually smuggled inferior goods and embezzled the Jiang family's money!

Bi Yao's eyes lit up. Wasn't this her chance to turn things around?

She took the evidence and went straight to the Jiang family's courtyard.

When Madam Jiang saw Bi Yao, her face immediately darkened: "What are you doing here?" Bi Yao calmly presented the evidence: "Madam, I found this in the woodshed." Madam Jiang took the account book and letters, and her expression grew increasingly grim as she read them.

She slammed her hand on the table, exclaiming angrily, "Well, that Liu Fu is incredibly audacious!" She looked up at Bi Yao with a complicated expression, "You... how did you discover all this?" Bi Yao replied meekly, "This servant just happened to..."

Liu Fu was passing by outside when he happened to see Bi Yao coming out of Jiang's room, carrying a familiar wooden box in her hand...

His face turned deathly pale instantly, and he stopped in his tracks.

Liu Fu's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. If the old lady found out what was in that box, his life would be over!

He stared fiercely at Bi Yao's back, plotting how to shut her up forever.

That night, Liu Fu sneaked into the woodshed and set a trap in a place where Bi Yao often walked—a thin steel wire connected to a bucket of sewage.

He smiled slyly, thinking: You little brat, you dare to ruin my plans? I'll teach you a lesson this time!

When Bi Yao returned to the woodshed, she immediately saw through Liu Fu's clumsy trick.

She sneered inwardly: That's it?

Trying to frame me?

You are still young!

She pretended not to see the wire, deliberately walked to the side of the trap, and then cried out "Ouch!" and dodged to the side in a panic.

The wire swayed slightly, but did not trigger the trap.

Bi Yao pretended to be scared and pointed at the wire, shouting, "Snake! Snake!"

The servants heard the shouts and rushed over, only to find that it was just a steel wire.

Bi Yao pointed at the steel wire and said in feigned horror, "This steel wire...it seems like someone deliberately tied it here...how scary!" She then "accidentally" touched the steel wire, and the sewage bucket tipped over, spilling sewage all over the ground.

The group looked at each other in disbelief; the trap was far too obvious!

Who is so despicable as to set a trap in the woodshed?

Liu Fu, hiding in the shadows, witnessed this scene and was so angry he almost vomited blood.

This little girl actually turned the tables on him!

Just as he was about to slip away, he heard someone shout, "Steward Liu, what are you doing sneaking around here?"

Liu Fu's heart skipped a beat, realizing something was wrong.

He turned around, forcing a smile: "I... I was just passing by..."

When Jiang Yao heard that Bi Yao had escaped another disaster and even made Liu Fu suffer a setback, she felt even more resentful.

She stormed into the woodshed, pointed at Bi Yao's nose, and yelled, "You wretched girl, how dare you frame Steward Liu!" With that, she raised her hand to hit Bi Yao.

Bi Yao had anticipated Jiang Yao's arrival, and she deftly dodged Jiang Yao's slap.

Jiang Yao missed her target, lost her balance, and fell directly into the mud pit next to her, instantly turning into a muddy figure.

Jiang Yao scrambled out of the mud pit in a disheveled state, covered in mud and with messy hair, looking nothing like a young lady at all.

She pointed angrily at Bi Yao, about to unleash a torrent of abuse, when she saw Madam Jiang standing at the door, her face grim…

Jiang Yao's appearance was like that of a groundhog just dug out of the mud. When Jiang Shi saw her, she frowned in disgust.

This girl is getting more and more useless!

All she does is cause trouble; she has no manners whatsoever as a lady from a respectable family.

Jiang's dissatisfaction with Jiang Yao intensified, and she said coldly, "Look at the state you're in! Hurry up and go back and clean yourself up!"

Jiang Yao left looking dejected. Bi Yao knelt down at the opportune moment, her face full of sincerity: "Madam, this servant is utterly loyal to the Jiang family, heaven and earth can bear witness!" Although Madam Jiang still had a stern face, her tone softened considerably: "Get up, and be more careful next time."

Chun Tao hid in a corner, watching Bi Yao escape danger time and time again, her eyes red with jealousy.

She planned to speak ill of Bi Yao to the other maids and ruin her reputation.

Before she could even open her mouth, Bi Yao beat her to it and revealed all of Chun Tao's previous acts of stealing kitchen snacks and framing other maids.

Now, the other maids all changed their gaze towards Chun Tao, keeping their distance from her. Chun Tao was instantly left all alone, and she stomped her feet in anger.

Liu Fu couldn't swallow this insult; he refused to believe he couldn't deal with this little brat!

While the Jiang family was resting, he sneaked in and exaggerated the story, saying that Bi Yao had stolen the Jiang family's precious jewelry.

Upon hearing this, Madam Jiang's face immediately darkened: "What did you say? Bi Yao stole something?" Liu Fu swore, "Absolutely true! This old servant saw it with my own eyes!" Madam Jiang was skeptical, but ultimately decided to search Bi Yao's room...

Liu Fu smiled slyly and gestured towards Bi Yao's room with his lip: "Madam, it's right there..."
