From cannon fodder villain to superpowered queen

Chapter 3: The Changing Fortunes of the Jiang Family, the Heroine's Desperate Counterattack

Jiang Yao cried her heart out, tears streaming down her face, and threw herself into Jiang Shi's arms: "Grandma! You have to stand up for me! That Bi Yao, she...she...she is utterly disrespectful and insubordinate!"

Jiang's most beloved granddaughter was this one, and seeing her crying so heartbrokenly, she flew into a rage: "Outrageous! This little slut has gone too far! Guards, drag Bi Yao out here!"

At Jiang's command, several servants stormed aggressively toward the woodshed where Bi Yao lived.

Bi Yao was just plotting how to deal with Liu Fu when she was suddenly startled by this scene.

She was roughly dragged in front of Madam Jiang, and the servants around her avoided her like the plague, fearing that they would get into trouble.

"Madam, the second young lady..." Bi Yao was about to explain when Jiang Yao's sharp voice interrupted her: "Grandma, she's still trying to argue! She was rude to me just now, and... she even cursed me so I'd never get married!"

Upon hearing this, Madam Jiang was even more enraged: "You insolent servant! How dare you curse my precious granddaughter! Guards, throw her out! Don't give her a single penny!"

a bolt from the blue!

Bi Yao's heart skipped a beat.

She couldn't stay in the Jiang family any longer.

But now that she's been kicked out, she has no money and nowhere to go.

Taking a deep breath, Bi Yao forced herself to calm down. She couldn't just sit and wait to die!

"Madam, the Second Miss is making false accusations! Chun Tao stole the gold bracelet and framed me before, and now the Second Miss is using the same trick again. You can't just believe one side of the story!" Bi Yao stated the facts calmly and firmly, her eyes clear and resolute.

“When Chun Tao framed me before, she insisted that I had stolen something. But what happened? She was just feeling guilty! Today, the Second Miss is holding a grudge because of what happened before, so she deliberately slandered me.” Bi Yao’s logic was clear and her words were reasonable.

The servants around them began to whisper among themselves, thinking that what Bi Yao said seemed to make some sense.

Jiang's expression also wavered somewhat. She looked at Jiang Yao suspiciously, then at Bi Yao.

Just then, a sinister voice rang out...

"Madam, this girl has always been sharp-tongued and cunning..."

Liu Fu's old face was plastered with a fawning smile. He rubbed his hands together and walked to Madam Jiang's side, lowering his voice to say, "Madam, this girl has always been sharp-tongued and cunning. You mustn't be fooled by her! In my opinion, she's an ingrate. No matter how good you are to her, she'll only repay kindness with enmity!"

Bi Yao sneered, staring directly at Liu Fu without fear, her eyes sharp as knives: "Steward Liu, are you saying this because you're afraid I'll expose your dirty secrets? Do you think no one knows about the despicable things you've done? You embezzled and misappropriated the manor's silver, lined your own pockets, and you really think you can get away with it?"

Liu Fu's expression changed drastically, as if someone had grabbed his neck; his face turned red, and he stammered, unable to speak.

Jiang's face also darkened, and she looked at Liu Fu with suspicion: "Liu Fu, is what she said true?"

Seeing that her backer was about to collapse, Jiang Yao became furious and pointed at Bi Yao's nose, cursing, "You little bitch! Talking nonsense! I'll tear your mouth apart!" As she spoke, she raised her hand to slap Bi Yao.

Bi Yao was prepared and dodged lightly. Jiang Yao missed her target, lost her balance, and fell heavily to the ground with a scream.

"Ouch!" Her carefully styled hair was disheveled, her gorgeous dress was covered in dust, and she looked utterly wretched.

The maids around her couldn't help but cover their mouths and giggle. Jiang Yao felt her face burning with shame, wishing she could disappear into the ground.

Bi Yao looked at the disheveled Jiang Yao, and a subtle smile appeared on her lips.

But instead of pressing her advantage, she...

“Madam,” Bi Yao’s voice was calm and firm, “Second Miss acted impulsively. Please forgive her this time, considering her young age.”

Bi Yao's move was brilliant!

Both Jiang and Jiang Yao were stunned.

Having lived to such an old age, this was the first time Jiang had ever seen someone so magnanimous after being bullied, and her impression of Bi Yao instantly underwent a complete 180-degree turn.

Jiang Yao looked constipated, feeling incredibly frustrated. She wanted to vent but didn't dare, and could only silently curse Bi Yao's ancestors in her heart.

“Madam, I understand that the Second Miss is young and impulsive. I am still willing to stay in the Jiang family and serve you and the Second Miss well.” Bi Yao said sincerely, her acting skills were superb.

Upon hearing this, Madam Jiang was so moved that she almost burst into tears: "Good child, what a good child! Don't worry, from now on, no one in the Jiang family will dare to bully you!"

Chun Tao hid in a corner, watching Bi Yao's glamorous life unfold, her eyes burning with jealousy.

Chun Tao, who has worked for the Jiang family for so many years, has never received a word of praise from the old lady. Why is it that this little hussy has stolen the limelight as soon as she arrives?

No, she couldn't swallow this!

So Chuntao came up with a plan and secretly poisoned Bi Yao's food.

She thought she had done something completely undetected, but little did she know that Bi Yao had been keeping a watchful eye all along.

Bi Yao discreetly placed the poisoned food in a place where Chun Tao frequented, then hid to watch the show.

Not long after, Chun Tao's fat cat suddenly collapsed with a meow, foaming at the mouth, and died on the spot.

When Chuntao saw this scene, she burst into tears and wailed. Anyone who didn't know the situation would think that her own father had died.

"My little darling! How could you... just leave like this!" Chun Tao cried with snot and tears streaming down her face; anyone who didn't know better would think her own father had died.

People around them were talking about it, and soon some of them connected it to Chun Tao's previous framing of Bi Yao. The truth was obvious.

Jiang watched Chuntao's performance and sneered inwardly.

That girl really brought this on herself; she deserves to die!

After this incident, Bi Yao's position in the Jiang family became even more secure.

Not only did Jiang not kick her out, but she also improved her treatment and moved her to a better room.

On the surface, Bi Yao was extremely grateful, but in her heart she was already planning her next move.

As the days went by, Bi Yao thrived in the Jiang family, and Jiang Yao no longer dared to provoke her easily.

However, the peaceful days did not last long...

Bi Yao stood by the window, gazing at the high walls of the Jiang family mansion, a cold smile playing on her lips: "This is just the beginning..."

Suddenly, a commotion broke the silence...
