From cannon fodder villain to superpowered queen

The bells rang again, ethereal and distant, as if they came from ancient times or from the future, guiding them in the right direction.

The fog was thick, and the direction from which the distant bells were to be heard was shrouded in white, making it impossible to see anything, which added to the mystery and danger.

"Let's go!" Bi Yao tossed her ponytail, exuding a bold and unrestrained spirit.

Jiang Ruiyuan followed closely behind, and the two of them rushed towards the direction of the bell, their speed so fast that they could only be seen as afterimages.

"That bell sound is interesting. Could it be the emergence of some ancient artifact?" Bi Yao muttered to herself as she ran. "If I could get my hands on it, wouldn't I be rich? Just thinking about it is exciting!"

"Don't be too happy yet, be careful of a trap." Jiang Ruiyuan remained vigilant at all times, his powerful perception covering his surroundings, constantly paying attention to the movements around him.

The further they went, the thicker the fog became, and the lower the visibility became.

Suddenly, a powerful energy storm appeared out of nowhere and roared towards them.

The turbulent energy currents within the storm were like sharp blades, cutting through everything around them and emitting a piercing shriek.

"Holy crap, what's going on?!" Bi Yao exclaimed, quickly regaining her balance.

With lightning speed, Jiang Ruiyuan pulled her behind him and unleashed his powerful abilities to try and withstand the impact of the energy storm.

However, the power of this energy storm far exceeded their expectations. Jiang Ruiyuan's supernatural barrier shattered after only a moment, and he was also blasted back several steps.

"Ruiyuan!" Bi Yao called out anxiously, her heart sinking.

The power of this energy turbulence was simply too great; even with their strength, they could hardly withstand it...

"Yao Yao, watch out!" Jiang Ruiyuan shouted and shoved Bi Yao away.

Bi Yao felt a tremendous force strike her, and her body flew backward uncontrollably, with only the whistling wind and the shrill roar of turbulent energy in her ears.

She struggled to steady herself, only to find herself caught in the center of an energy storm.

“Ruiyuan…” Bi Yao reached out her hand, trying to grasp something, but only grasped emptiness.

"Hold on!" Jiang Ruiyuan's voice came from afar, carrying a hint of anxiety and worry.

Boom!

Another deafening roar erupted, and the power of the energy storm intensified once more. Bi Yao felt as if her body was being torn apart...

"No, this can't go on..." Jiang Ruiyuan gritted his teeth.

The energy storm, like a raging beast, ravaged and tore apart everything around it.

Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan continued to suffer new wounds, and blood, like paint on a palette, stained their tattered clothes, making them look utterly wretched.

The gale, carrying sharp turbulent energy, was like countless invisible blades, mercilessly cutting into their skin and bringing a burning pain.

They staggered, each step feeling like walking on a knife's edge, but neither of them flinched, their eyes burning with an indomitable flame.

"This storm is really something!" Bi Yao gritted her teeth, a stubborn smile playing on her lips. "But you think you can make me submit? Not a chance!"

Jiang Ruiyuan followed closely behind, his wounds already numb. He stared intently ahead.

Suddenly, Bi Yao had an idea and shouted, "Ruiyuan, come with me! Pay attention to the energy flow of the storm, don't try to fight it head-on, find an opening!"

Jiang Ruiyuan immediately understood. He slowed down and, following Bi Yao's instructions, constantly adjusted his position, skillfully avoiding the direct impact of those energy turbulence.

The two worked together seamlessly, like warriors braving the wind and waves, struggling to move forward through the cracks of an energy storm.

As they ventured deeper, the power of the energy storm began to gradually diminish.

The previously rampant energy turbulence became docile, the wind gradually subsided, and the surrounding fog slowly dissipated.

"Yaoyao, you're amazing!" Jiang Ruiyuan couldn't help but exclaim, his voice filled with admiration. "To be able to find the pattern in this, you're simply a genius!"

Bi Yao raised the corners of her mouth smugly and said proudly, "That's right, don't you know who I am! I'm going to become the Queen of Superpowers!"

Just then, they suddenly burst out of the storm, and a huge ancient altar appeared before them.

Around the altar, a group of translucent phantom creatures drifted about, their eyes vacant yet emanating a chilling aura…

"What the hell is this?" Bi Yao muttered, reaching out to tug at Jiang Ruiyuan's sleeve. The two exchanged a glance, both seeing a look of seriousness in each other's eyes.

Having just escaped the storm and before they could even catch their breath, a group of translucent phantom creatures drifted around the altar like ghosts.

Their eyes were hollow, and they exuded an eerie chill, like demons crawling out of the depths of hell.

"What the hell is this?" Bi Yao complained, but before she could finish speaking, Jiang Ruiyuan had already launched an attack.

Energy surged around him, and a dazzling light condensed on his fist as he blasted it towards a phantom creature.

With a loud "bang," energy collided with the phantom, creating ripples in the air.

However, these phantom creatures were exceptionally agile. Like ghosts, they easily dodged Jiang Ruiyuan's attacks and then counterattacked, their claws leaving afterimages in the air as they lunged straight at Jiang Ruiyuan's face.

"Watch out!" Bi Yao couldn't help but exclaim, her heart leaping into her throat, fearing that Jiang Ruiyuan would get hurt.

Jiang Ruiyuan frowned, his movements as swift as the wind, dodging and weaving through the phantom creatures' attacks.

However, there were simply too many of these phantom creatures, and they were moving incredibly fast. He gradually began to struggle, and small wounds started to appear on his body, from which blood seeped out and stained his clothes.

"Hiss, these things are something else!" Upon seeing this, Bi Yao didn't have time to complain anymore. She quickly activated her superpower, her eyes flashing with a strange light, and carefully observed the movement of the phantom creatures.

"Ruiyuan, they're afraid of light!" Bi Yao suddenly shouted, her voice tinged with excitement. "Attack their eyes!"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ruiyuan immediately understood. He adjusted his attack strategy, concentrating his energy in his fists and launching a fierce attack on the phantom creature's eyes.

Beams of dazzling light shot out, like sharp swords, precisely striking the phantom creature's weak points.

"Agh!" The phantom creatures let out a shrill scream as their figures began to blur and eventually dissipated into the air like smoke.

In the blink of an eye, the phantom creatures around the altar were cleared away.

Where they disappeared, there was nothing there, as if they had never existed.

Sunlight filtered through the mist, casting a sacred glow upon the altar and gilding this ancient land.

Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan stood proudly, their bodies bearing scars, but their eyes filled with the pride of victors.

"Hehe, it seems my strength has increased again!" Bi Yao proudly raised her chin, raised an eyebrow at Jiang Ruiyuan, and a confident smile appeared on her lips. "These little minions are no match for you at all!"

Just then, an ancient rune array suddenly appeared on the ground where they had just fought.

The rune array emitted a strong light, exuding a mysterious yet dangerous aura.

“This is…” Bi Yao murmured to herself. She and Jiang Ruiyuan exchanged a glance and moved closer to the rune array at the same time.
