Reborn Fairy Wife Takes Me on a Gaggle-Fire rampage
Chapter 54 The Legend of the Cat
Wen Shu had been on leave for nearly two months. During this time, she had a fulfilling day, but deep down, she knew this wasn't the life she truly wanted. She longed to return to the vibrant and intellectually stimulating museum, to exchange ideas with her colleagues, and to share her insights and discoveries. That afternoon, she finally mustered the courage to call the museum's HR department, her voice firm and clear: "I'll be back at work tomorrow." Her HR colleague seemed somewhat surprised on the other end of the line, but quickly welcomed her and assured her that everything would be arranged.
Upon learning of Wen Shu's decision, Mu Chen expressed his full support. He knew Wen Shu's passion for her work and her contributions to the museum, and he believed that returning to her post would not only allow her to rediscover the joy of her job but also enable her to achieve new breakthroughs in her career. Mu Chen encouraged Wen Shu, saying, "A woman having her own small business not only allows her to realize her self-worth but also makes her life more fulfilling and colorful. Staying indoors all day will only limit your horizons and growth." His words were filled with expectation and trust for Wen Shu.
Wen Shu's return is undoubtedly a cause for celebration for the museum. Her colleagues expressed their welcome and anticipation for her. The museum director also praised Wen Shu's decision, believing that her return will bring new vitality and creativity to the museum. At an internal meeting, the director stated, "Wen Shu is an indispensable member of our team; her expertise and passion are invaluable assets to our museum. Her return will make our team more complete and will inspire all of us to work together to contribute to the museum's development."
Wen Shu herself is also looking forward to her new job. She plans to bring new perspectives and ideas to the museum after returning to work.
Wen Shu believes that with her return, through her hard work and passion for her job, she can realize her personal value and contribute to society. Tomorrow, when she steps into the museum again, she will greet new challenges and opportunities with a fresh perspective and boundless enthusiasm.
Butler Zhu was a meticulous and responsible man. That afternoon, he drove his gleaming Martinston to a well-known gas station on the outskirts of town. This gas station not only offered high-quality fuel but also excellent service, making it a place Butler Zhu always trusted. He patiently waited for his vehicle to be called, then instructed the staff to fill up his Martinston with high-quality gasoline. While the staff were busy, Butler Zhu also reminded them to check the tire pressure to ensure everything was at its best.
After filling up the tank, he drove the car back to his garage. The garage was fully equipped with specialized cleaning equipment and tools. Butler Zhu put on gloves and began a thorough cleaning of the Martinston. He first used a high-pressure water gun to rinse the car, removing surface dust and grime. Then, using specialized car wash liquid and a soft sponge, he meticulously cleaned every corner, ensuring no stains remained. During the cleaning process, Butler Zhu paid special attention to the windows and tires, using specialized cleaners and brushes to make them look brand new.
After cleaning, Butler Zhu carefully dried the car body with a clean towel, then used a hairdryer to dry the tires and rims, ensuring no water stains remained. He also applied car wax to polish the car, making the Martinston's paintwork even shinier and more dazzling. Butler Zhu's attention to detail was extreme; he even checked the interior to ensure all seats were clean and tidy, without any clutter.
After completing all the preparations, Butler Zhu looked around the newly renovated Martinston with satisfaction, feeling a sense of accomplishment. He knew that when Wen Shu prepared to drive out the next day, the car would be in top condition to greet her. Butler Zhu's meticulousness and professionalism not only reflected his love for his work but also demonstrated his loyalty to his owner and respect for the car. He believed that through his careful maintenance, this Martinston would continue to provide Wen Shu with a comfortable and safe driving experience.
Wen Shu was enjoying a peaceful afternoon in the attic. She sat on a soft cushion and stroked a cat named Xiao Hei.
Sunlight streamed through the window, casting dappled shadows on her, while Xiao Hei lazily dozed off on her lap.
That day, when she first saw Xiao Hei, it was emitting a faint golden light, which made her feel very special.
She held a stack of ancient books she had collected, books that recorded various legends and knowledge about cats. Wen Shu flipped through the pages one by one, trying to find clues about the golden light on Xiao Hei's body. She discovered that there was indeed a cat in the ancient books that resembled Xiao Hei, but that cat had a distinct golden crescent mark on its forehead. This puzzled her, because Xiao Hei did not have such a mark on its forehead.
Despite this, Wen Shu didn't stop doting on Xiao Hei. She continued to gently stroke Xiao Hei's head, feeling its soft fur and warm body. As a reward for Xiao Hei, she took out a small dried fish from her pocket. This was cat food made by Aunt Hu herself, containing various nutrients and specially designed for cats' health. Xiao Hei smelled the aroma of the dried fish and immediately perked up, gazing at Wen Shu with its bright eyes, as if thanking her for her generosity.
Inside, there were also cat grass grown by Aunt Hu, these fresh plants serving as a natural digestive aid for the cats. Aunt Hu's care for these little animals was meticulous; she always thought of everything the cats needed. Wen Shu knew that Aunt Hu also loved the kitten, Xiao Hei, very much, and she would always prepare special delicious food for it to ensure it grew up healthy and happy.
While enjoying her interaction with Xiao Hei, Wen Shu pondered the mystery of the golden light emanating from Xiao Hei.
Just then, Aunt Hu tiptoed upstairs, carrying a shovel and cat food, ready to clean Xiao Hei's litter box and feed it. Noticing Wen Shu was also upstairs, she smiled and went over. The two began to chat amiably, the conversation naturally turning to Xiao Hei's daily routine. Wen Shu curiously asked Aunt Hu if she had noticed anything unusual about Xiao Hei. Aunt Hu thought for a moment, then said with a hint of pride, "Xiao Hei really has a big appetite. It's a lively and adorable little male cat with a very gentle personality; it's gotten quite chubby lately."
As Aunt Hu spoke, she skillfully began cleaning the litter box, shoveling away Xiao Hei's excrement. Her movements were gentle, careful not to disturb Xiao Hei's rest. After cleaning, she took a bag of fresh cat food from her pocket and poured it into Xiao Hei's bowl. Xiao Hei seemed to smell the aroma of the food and immediately jumped out from the corner, wagging its tail and looking at Aunt Hu expectantly with its big eyes.
