Reborn Fairy Wife Takes Me on a Gaggle-Fire rampage

Chapter 205 Too much to eat, absolutely too much to eat

"Are you full?" Mu Chen raised his handsome eyebrows slightly, looking at the person in front of him with a half-smile. A hint of mockery flickered in his deep and bright eyes.

"I'm full," Su Yun replied softly, a faint blush rising on her cheeks, as alluring as a ripe apple. She looked exceptionally shy and adorable at that moment.

"I haven't yet." Mu Chen's lips curled up into a teasing smile. His gaze roamed freely over Su Yun, as if trying to see right through her.

Hearing this, Su Yun's heart tightened, and she subconsciously rolled up the blanket and moved to the side, saying coquettishly, "Then don't even think about it!" However, her evasive eyes and slightly red ears had already betrayed her true thoughts.

Just then, Mu Chen turned and went into the bathroom, and soon the sound of running water could be heard. When he came out after showering, he had changed into a clean and tidy set of clothes. He was tall and straight, with an extraordinary temperament. His wet hair was casually scattered on his forehead, adding a touch of unruliness and sexiness.

Su Yun lay quietly on the bed, staring intently at Mu Chen, muttering to herself, "What a hypocrite..." Although her voice was soft, Mu Chen, with his sharp ears, still heard it.

He strode to the bedside, leaned close to Su Yun, and replied with a mischievous grin, "Then you really are a well-behaved little kitten." After saying that, he gently pinched Su Yun's pink cheek.

"I'm going back to the company, Su Su." Mu Chen looked at the woman in front of him gently and said softly, "I'll be leaving this afternoon. If anything happens, remember to call me immediately." His deep eyes were full of concern and worry, as if he was afraid that something might happen after he left.

"Okay, I know!" Su Su replied with a smile, her clear, autumn-water-like eyes sparkling with understanding and trust. "Go ahead and don't worry about me. I can take care of myself. I wish you all the best!" With that, she waved goodbye to Mu Chen.

Mu Chen nodded and turned to leave. He watched his retreating figure.

The afternoon sun shone through the gaps in the curtains, falling on Su Yun's face. A wave of drowsiness washed over her, so she decided to put down her book, close her eyes, and let herself rest in the warm sunlight for a while. Su Yun's breathing gradually became even, her thoughts began to drift away, and slowly, she drifted off to sleep.

In her dream, Su Yun seemed to be in a blurry and chaotic scene. She saw Mu Chen, who suddenly turned pale and collapsed to the ground, motionless. Her heart clenched, and a sense of foreboding washed over her. She tried to run to him, but found herself unable to move, and could only watch helplessly as Mu Chen's figure receded into the darkness. Su Yun woke up from this nightmare with a start, her heart pounding and her forehead covered in cold sweat. She took a deep breath and told herself it was just a dream, and that Mu Chen was surely safe and sound.

The afternoon sun was still warm, and Su Yun decided to go to the front yard to find Mother Mu and express her gratitude. She knew Mother Mu was very busy every day, but she always made time to care for her. When she arrived at the front yard, she saw Mother Mu preparing for her afternoon nap, so she didn't disturb her. She simply thanked Mother Mu and told her that she was doing well. Mother Mu smiled and nodded, told Su Yun to take care of herself, and then went back to her room to rest. Su Yun returned to her own little courtyard, her heart filled with warmth and gratitude.

Back in the courtyard, Su Yun's gaze was drawn to the fish in the pond. She noticed that recently, her mischievous kitten, Xiao Hei, seemed to have lost interest in catching fish. Curious, she asked, "Hmm, Xiao Hei didn't catch any fish this time. Is he tired of them and doesn't want to eat them anymore?" Xiao Hei seemed to understand Su Yun's words, leisurely walking over and licking its paws as it replied, "Aunt Hu made so many dried fish! We can't possibly finish them all!" Su Yun couldn't help but smile. Imagining Aunt Hu's busy figure and Xiao Hei contentedly eating the dried fish, a warm feeling welled up inside her.

"Hey, Xiao Hei, why do I only see you wandering around? Where's Xiao Bai?" Sister Su asked with a hint of curiosity, her eyes scanning Xiao Hei as if searching for Xiao Bai.

"Little White? It's taking a nap in its room," Little Black replied lazily, licking its paws while looking at Sister Su with its bright eyes.

"Really? You didn't bully Xiaobai, did you?" Sister Su was skeptical. She knew that Xiaohei could be naughty at times and was worried that Xiaobai might have been tricked by it.

"No, I promise." Little Black wagged its tail, looking very sincere. "I'll let it come down so you can see when it wakes up, okay?"

"Okay, okay." Sister Su Su agreed with a smile. She knew that although Xiao Hei was naughty, he still took good care of Xiao Bai.

Just then, Yueyue walked over, carrying a delicate afternoon tea. She was wearing a light blue dress, and her hair was tied in a simple ponytail, making her look both refreshing and neat.

"Sister Su, have some snacks. You didn't eat much at noon," Yueyue said gently, placing a tray on the table next to Sister Su. The tray was filled with all sorts of snacks: crispy cookies, delicate macarons, and small sandwiches, each one looking incredibly tempting.

Yueyue sat quietly next to Sister Susu, waiting for her instructions. She knew that Sister Susu liked to relax and enjoy a peaceful time during afternoon tea.

Just then, Xiao Hei stretched out a paw and gently patted the back of Yueyue's hand: "Let me try it, I'm hungry too." Xiao Hei's eyes sparkled with anticipation; it always had a special fondness for the snacks Yueyue made.

Yueyue smiled and handed Xiaohei a cookie. Xiaohei stood on the table, held the pastry in its two front paws, and ate it with relish. Its movements were both elegant and swift, and it finished the pastry that Yueyue had given it in no time.

"Delicious, delicious! Make more next time!" Little Black ate with great satisfaction, licking its lips as if it still wanted more. Yueyue couldn't help but laugh at Little Black's contented expression.

"That's great, Xiao Hei will be pestering you to make it desserts. It's a real glutton," Su Yun said with a smile.

Just then, Little White wagged its tail and walked from the house to the pavilion. Yueyue gave Little White a cookie. Little White wagged its tail and ate it all up happily, even shaking hands with Yueyue to curry favor. This made Yueyue smile from ear to ear.
