When Tie Zhu heard that Hua Laodao was going to take them to the trade fair, he cheered with joy.

Tie Zhu had been diligently cultivating in the Taoist temple for nearly a year, which had really made him restless.

The thought of going out and having fun made him eagerly drag Liu Xingchen back to the room to pack their things.

Liu Xingchen also has high expectations for this trade fair. For him, it's an excellent opportunity to broaden his horizons and increase his knowledge.

He longed to witness the splendor of the cultivation world, exchange insights with other cultivators, and even catch a glimpse of the legendary elixirs, magical treasures, and cultivation techniques, which would greatly benefit his future cultivation.

However, he was no longer a naive newcomer to the martial arts world; he had gained a deep understanding of the dangers of it.

Having witnessed the ugly side of martial arts practitioners who would stop at nothing to seize the divine sword, he didn't believe the cultivation world could be harmonious.

He understands the principle of being guilty of possessing a treasure.

In trade fairs, where one is forced to display their wealth and treasures, without sufficient strength, one is nothing more than a lamb to the slaughter.

So Liu Xingchen took his divine sword and the black robe that could defend against all kinds of attacks.

He wrapped the two treasures in cloth and carried them on his back. Old Hua glanced at them but didn't ask any further questions.

After everything was ready, Tie Zhu asked excitedly:

"Master, can we go down the mountain now? Which way should we go?"

"Let's go?" Upon hearing this, Old Hua was so happy that his beard stood on end.

"The place we're going to is more than 2,000 miles away. We can't get there on foot. Tiezhu, you're not tired, but I am."

"Huh? That's so far. Should we go to town and buy some fast horses first?" Tie Zhu scratched his head, looking puzzled.

"Haha, no need, no need. Marco's isn't as good as mine."

As he spoke, Old Hua took the gourd from his waist.

Tie Zhu looked at it and grumbled in dissatisfaction, "Master, you're playing me again. Isn't this gourd filled with wine? How are we supposed to use it? Are you expecting us to get drunk and die in our dreams?"

Liu Xingchen's eyes lit up: "Master, could this gourd be a magic treasure?"

"Haha, Xingchen is so smart. Look."

Hua Laodao laughed loudly, and as he spoke, he tossed the gourd into the air.

The gourd grew taller in the wind, and in the blink of an eye, it became a huge gourd, floating in the air, three feet off the ground.

Tie Zhu was so surprised that his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

"Wow! Master, your gourd is so big! No wonder you never finish your wine."

Old Hua was both amused and exasperated: "Tiezhu, all you think about is eating and drinking. Think about it carefully, what can you possibly do with such a big gourd?"

Tie Zhu circled the gourd once, and said with a troubled expression:

"The opening of this gourd is too small, otherwise I could really crawl inside and have a good sleep."

Hua Laodao: ..."

Liu Xingchen suppressed a laugh and said, "Alright, Tiezhu, stop guessing. This gourd is for carrying us flying."

"Yes, Xingchen is indeed insightful."

"Fly? Fly into the sky while riding a giant gourd? That's great, we can fly into the sky now."

Amidst Tie Zhu's cheers, Hua Laodao was the first to jump onto the gourd and sit in front.

Liu Xingchen and Tie Zhu also jumped up one after another and sat on the big gourd belly behind.

This place is quite large and spacious, enough for these two brothers to sit.

Seeing that everyone was seated, Hua Laodao made a hand seal, and the gourd soared into the air, rising higher and higher, flying northward.

The gourd weaves through the clouds, like a giant whale swimming in the waves, sometimes soaring into the sky, sometimes close to the mountains, moving with agility and freedom.

Tie Zhu stood up excitedly, spread his arms, and felt the thrill of flying.

His face beamed with a childlike smile as he shouted, "Fly! Fly! I can fly like a bird now!"

Liu Xingchen was much quieter. His gaze pierced through the clouds, looking down at the earth below, and a surge of indescribable pride welled up in his heart.

He saw winding rivers like silver ribbons, lush forests, and scattered towns, all of which seemed so small yet so magnificent.

He had seen this spectacle while flying, so he wasn't as excited as Tie Zhu.

Hua Laodao observed his two disciples' behavior. Seeing Liu Xingchen's composure, he frowned and muttered to himself:

"The way Xingchen looks suggests that he has flown in the sky before. He couldn't be so calm without years of flying experience."

"However, is this possible given Xingchen's cultivation level?"

Recalling Liu Xingchen's unchanging, cold face, he rejected his own idea.

This apprentice has always been calm and composed; I've never seen anything so significant cause him to change his expression.

This cannot be judged by common sense.

Flying in the gourd is as smooth as flying in an airplane. The only difference is that the wind is too strong here.

However, despite the strong wind, they were able to sit steadily on the gourd without being blown away, as if some force had kept them afloat.

Taking advantage of his master's presence, Liu Xingchen quickly raised his question.

Old Master Hua smiled slightly:

"Indeed, I used a spell to stabilize myself on the gourd. I could also have used a wind-fixing spell to create a barrier around the gourd, keeping the wind out."

"However, in order to train you two, I won't use this wind-fixing technique. Let you train in the gale."

Upon hearing this, Tie Zhu happily said, "Master, don't block the wind. It's fine as it is. Without the wind, there's no feeling of flying, which would be too boring."

Liu Xingchen didn't care about this at all. He was already a cultivator, so why would he be afraid of such a small breeze?

The only thing that bothered him was that the wind had messed up his hairstyle.

With the ability to fly, a journey of two thousand miles is not too far.

They set off early in the morning and arrived at their destination around noon.

The gourd began to descend slowly, hovering above a mysterious valley.

The valley was shrouded in mist, obscuring its true form.

Hua Laodao did not rush to descend, but instead raised his hand, and a silver light flew out and entered the mist.

A short while later, a small path emerged from the mist.

The silver light flew back into Hua Laodao's hand. Liu Xingchen saw it clearly; it was a snow-white jade talisman.

Master Hua nodded in satisfaction and explained:

"You can't just barge into these cultivation fairs; they're all set up with formations. One is to isolate mortals, and the other is to verify the identity of visitors."

"The jade talisman I just released is the entrance talisman for this place. Without this talisman, no one is allowed to enter without permission, otherwise they will be trapped by the formation."

As he spoke, he lowered the gourd and entered through the path that branched off in the mist.

Gradually, the scenery became clearer, revealing that it was a small village.
