Chapter 34 The Divine Sword Was Stolen

Yu Kun's heart was filled with resentment towards Liu Xingchen.

It was this talented disciple who caused him to be expelled from the sect.

He decided to cause trouble for Liu Xingchen to vent his resentment.

Yu Kun looked around to make sure no one was paying attention to him, then took out a small iron crowbar from his pocket.

He skillfully pried open Liu Xingchen's door lock and slipped into the room silently.

As soon as he entered the room, Yu Kun began looking around, trying to find something to vent his anger on.

Even stealing a little of Liu Xingchen's belongings or damaging some of his personal items would make him feel a little better.

The room was sparsely furnished and felt empty.

He muttered a dissatisfied grumble, his gaze finally settling on the locked cabinet, a sly smile playing on his lips.

As usual, the crowbar was used again, and the cabinet door opened with a click.

Liu Xingchen didn't have many things; after rummaging through them, he only found a few changes of clothes.

"Poor guy!"

Yu Kun cursed under his breath, drew his sword, and slashed wildly at his clothes, trying to cut them to shreds to vent his resentment.

But as he continued paddling, he suddenly felt something was wrong.

There was a black robe, and no matter how hard he tried, the sword tip could not leave a single mark on it.

Curious, he unfolded the black robe, revealing gold trim that shone brilliantly.

Most importantly, this robe cannot be cut with a sword, so it must be made of some precious material.

Yu Kun's eyes widened in surprise.

"That penniless Liu Xingchen actually possesses such a treasure?"

A greedy look appeared on his face as he carefully folded the black robe again and placed it into his bundle.

Just as he was about to leave, Yu Kun's mind changed.

"This Liu Xingchen is so mysterious, he probably has more than just this one treasure."

He searched high and low, but found nothing.

But he was still not satisfied and turned his attention back to the cabinet.

The cabinets in the rooms of all the disciples of the Azure Sky Sect were made in the same style, and his room also had the same cabinet, so he was very familiar with it.

Upon closer inspection, something seemed amiss: the space inside the cabinet appeared to be a little small.

After a moment's thought, Yu Kun raised his sword and slashed at the inner wall of the cabinet.

With a few quick slashes, the inner wall of the cabinet was broken open, revealing the hidden compartments inside.

"Haha, Liu Xingchen, you really are up to something. You actually added a layer of wood to the cabinet to make a hidden compartment."

"Let me see what good stuff you've been hiding."

Yu Kun smiled smugly, reached inside, and pulled out a dark, unusually heavy sword.

This sword was neither gold nor iron; it was so heavy that it seemed to be a hammer rather than a sword.

He had no idea that this was a divine sword that people in the martial arts world fought over relentlessly.

However, he knew that what Liu Xingchen had deliberately hidden in the extra layer was definitely a treasure, and he would never let such a treasure go to waste.

Without hesitation, Yu Kun slung the bundle and black sword over his shoulder and walked out of Liu Xingchen's house, completely satisfied.

As soon as he stepped out of the house, he ran into Junior Brother Lu and a few others who were coming towards him.

Junior Brother Lu had suffered a lot of bullying from Yu Kun in the past, so seeing him expelled from the sect this time made him extremely happy.

Junior Brother Lu is cunning and thinks Yu Kun is not a good person. He always feels that if no one is watching him, Yu Kun will cause trouble.

So he persuaded a few close fellow disciples to come back and watch over Yu Kun, making sure he left the Azure Sky Sect.

Upon returning, they discovered that Yu Kun was suspiciously emerging from Liu Xingchen's room.

Junior Brother Lu immediately stepped forward and demanded in a stern voice:

"Yu Kun, what are you doing in Senior Brother Liu's room? Did you steal something from him?"

"What nonsense are you talking about? I'm back to pack my things."

Yu Kun glared, his fierce expression trying to intimidate Junior Brother Lu.

Junior Brother Lu was no longer afraid of him and glared back fiercely.

"Yu Kun, stop making excuses."

"Brother Liu's door was open. Look, the chain lock has been pried open. If it wasn't you who did it, who else could it be?"

Knowing he was in the wrong, Yu Kun didn't bother arguing with Junior Brother Lu any further and turned to leave.

Junior Brother Lu couldn't let him leave like that, and shouted loudly:

"Yu Kun has already been expelled from the sect, yet he still dares to steal here. Brothers, let's all attack and take him down."

With that, Junior Brother Lu drew his sword and led the charge towards Yu Kun.

Yu Kun's martial arts skills are stronger than his, and they now outnumber him, so they are not afraid of Yu Kun.

Seeing his junior brother Lu rushing forward, Yu Kun casually drew the black sword from his back and slashed at Lu.

The black sword was exceptionally heavy, and Yu Kun had to use all his internal energy to barely swing it.

In the blink of an eye, Junior Brother Lu was about to raise his sword to meet the attack when he heard a crisp "crack" sound. His precious sword was as fragile as paper and was cut in two by the black sword.

Even more terrifying was that the black sword, still brimming with power, slashed straight at Junior Brother Lu's chest.

The next second, a bloody smell filled the air as Junior Brother Lu's chest was cleaved open.

His eyes widened in disbelief, and he could only collapse helplessly to the ground, leaving behind a pool of glaring red.

"Yu Kun killed Junior Brother Lu!"

The fellow disciples who came with him cried out in alarm, "Someone has died! This is a serious matter!"

Yu Kun himself was startled by the power of the black sword, but a strange sense of pride welled up inside him.

With such a divine weapon in hand, where in the world can't one go?

Without thinking twice, he hurriedly sheathed his black sword, took off running like the wind.

Yu Kun was still wearing the clothes of the Azure Sky Sect, and no one stopped him, allowing him to run out.

The fellow disciples returned to the arena and reported what had happened to the stewards.

The deacons were greatly alarmed. They immediately stopped the ongoing competition, sent people to chase after Yu Kun, and reported this important matter to their superiors.

Liu Xingchen and his fellow disciples rushed to the scene and were overwhelmed with indescribable grief upon seeing Junior Brother Lu's body.

When he learned that Yu Kun had killed Junior Brother Lu with a strange black sword, his heart sank and he knew something was wrong.

He hurriedly returned to his room to check, only to find the room in a mess, with his precious divine sword and black robe nowhere to be found.

Liu Xingchen hated Yu Kun to the core and was even more afraid that the matter of the divine sword would be exposed. After telling his fellow disciples, he picked up his own sword and chased after Yu Kun.

Once outside the gate, he asked one of the gatekeepers, who said that Yu Kun was rushing towards the north gate in a panic.

Just as they were about to give chase, they saw Tie Zhu rushing over.

"Brother Xingchen, I heard that Yu Kun killed Junior Brother Lu?"

"Yes, that son of a bitch! He even stole my black sword."

Liu Xingchen said in a low voice.

"That bastard!"

Tie Zhu jumped up in anger.

“Come on, Brother Xingchen, I’ll go with you to chase after him, catch this bastard, and avenge Junior Brother Lu.”

The two immediately set off and chased after Yu Kun in the direction he had fled.
