President, please comfort me.

Chapter 63 More Than Enough to Support You

Ye Lin became more cautious: "What do you mean?"

Lanling asked, "Tell me about how many girlfriends you had before the Tang Dynasty."

Ye Lin answered without hesitation: "One."

Lanling felt a moment of disappointment; she had actually dated him: "My white moonlight?"

"It probably doesn't count."

"When did it take, and how long?"

"Several years ago, about a month ago."

"Ok."

......

Ye Lin answered several questions in a row, thinking to himself that he couldn't just answer; the cooperation had only just begun, and he wanted to gain something from it as well.

He leaned closer and whispered, "Could you also tell me about the few women Chen Nuo has dated?"

Seeing his sincerity, and Chen Nuo's lack of attempt to conceal his past relationship, Lanling cleared his throat and said, "I'll only answer one question for you. Think it over before you ask."

Ye Lin was about to speak when Lan Ling extended her uninjured right index finger and shook it in the air, making it clear that there was no room for negotiation: "No bargaining!"

Ye Lin swallowed the rest of his food and said, "Okay."

After thinking it over again and again, he still asked the same question: "How many have you dated?"

"One."

"Ok."

......

The two tacitly stopped talking and slowly processed the information they had just gathered.

The phone rang in the quiet car; it was Wen Qi calling.

Ye Lin answered the phone, and Wen Qi's voice came through the receiver: "Xiao Nuo isn't in the dance studio. I called her, and she said her dog is sick and at a nearby pet hospital."

"I remember my aunt didn't allow her to keep a dog, so I don't know where she got this one?" Wenqi asked, puzzled.

Upon hearing this, Ye Lin's voice became a little urgent: "I'm the one who took her. You two come back first. I know where the pet hospital is."

Two minutes later, Wen Qi and Tang Yue came out of the apartment. Wen Qi handed the bag in her hand to Ye Lin and called Lan Ling out of the car.

She said to Ye Lin, "Why don't you go and see for yourself? We have to go back to the Governor's Mansion for lunch, and we're going to accompany Xiao Can to the zoo this afternoon. Xiao He is already on his way here."

Ye Lin was overjoyed; this was a perfect excuse to meet and be alone with him. Overjoyed, he said earnestly, "Okay, then send me a message after you meet with Brother Xiao. As for Chen Nuo, don't worry, I'll take care of him."

"Ok."

"Goodbye, Brother Ye Lin."

Ye Lin was secretly delighted. He had tried every means to find out about Chen Nuo from Wen Qi before, but she only gave him superficial and unhelpful information. This time, he didn't expect Wen Qi to give him the green light.

Actually, Wen Qi's attitude didn't change suddenly; it was because Ye Lin had just said that the dog was a gift from him.

You should know that Chen Nuo never accepts anything from anyone other than the three of them.

Back in her school days, she had many male admirers, both upperclassmen and underclassmen, both on and off campus, and they showered her with countless gifts, but she never accepted any of them.

Having taken Ye Lin's dog, many things naturally became clear, but Wen Qi didn't intend to tell Ye Lin this, lest he become arrogant and complacent.

Ye Lin waved goodbye to the group and then drove to the pet hospital.

The reason he knew the address was because after learning that Chen Nuo lived in Xiangjiang Mingzhu, he had figured out the surrounding amenities of Xiangjiang Mingzhu.

When he arrived at the pet hospital, he saw Chen Nuo sitting in a chair with a worried expression.

Ye Lin approached, squatted down to look at her, and gently comforted her, "Don't worry, I'm here."

Chen Nuo was a little surprised, thinking it was Wen Qi and the others who came, but it turned out to be Ye Lin: "Why are you here? Where are Xiao Qi and the others?"

"They have gone back to the Governor's Office on business."

Ye Lin asked gently, "The dog is sick, why didn't you tell me? Didn't I tell you we could take care of it together?"

"Didn't you take Xiaoqi and the others to the dessert shop? I didn't tell you." Chen Nuo's eyes darted away, somewhat afraid to look at him. Upon closer inspection, she realized that this man was really handsome.

Even though it had only been a few days, Ye Lin felt as if he hadn't seen her for ages, and suddenly understood the saying: "A day apart feels like three autumns."

He smiled silently and spoke his mind: "That's good. I thought you didn't want to talk to me anymore."

Chen Nuo was a little embarrassed by the directness of the question: "No."

When Ye Lin saw the doctor come out, he immediately recognized the puppy. He gently patted Chen Nuo and said, "Let's go, the doctor brought the dog out."

The two went over, and the doctor said, "It's mild gastritis, nothing serious. I've prescribed some medicine; just take it as prescribed."

"Thank you, doctor." Ye Lin stepped forward and picked up the puppy, not caring at all that his expensive clothes were getting dirty.

Chen Nuo saw this and her gaze softened unconsciously. A faint ripple stirred in her heart, as if some inexplicable power made her feel at ease. Without asking any more questions, she followed him out of the hospital.

After getting in the car, Chen Nuo picked up the dog and heard Ye Lin's voice in his ear, low and husky yet with an indescribable allure: "Are you hungry? I'll take you to eat."

Chen Nuo's voice was soft, unlike before when he was distant and there was always a hint of politeness in it: "It's alright."

Ye Lin took her directly to a very popular Thai restaurant, because he had learned from Wen Qi that she loved Thai food.

Inside the private room, Ye Lin put the dog in its cage and placed it on the floor. While playing with it, he turned around and said softly to Chen Nuo, "What would you like to eat? Order whatever you like, don't be shy."

Chen Nuo sat on the stool and took the menu from the waiter, ordering only three or four dishes. Ye Lin took the menu and ordered a lot of dishes in one go.

Chen Nuo pursed her lips and said in a gentle voice, "Alright, there are only two of us, we can't eat that much."

Ye Lin turned his head to look at her, a lazy smile in his eyes, and couldn't help but tease her: "So you're already trying to save me money? It's okay, I can easily support you. If you can't finish it, just leave it."

Chen Nuo's face flushed red. She glared at him angrily, then ignored him and started playing on her phone.

Ye Lin rarely saw her like this; she was rather adorable, making his heart flutter. A sassy smile played on his lips, and not daring to push his luck any further, he wisely changed the subject: "Have you named the dog yet?"

Chen Nuo looked up and met his gaze: "Well, I've thought of a few, but I haven't decided yet."

"tell me the story."

Chen Nuo got quite excited when this was mentioned, and with a smile in her eyes, she said in a light voice, "Tangyuan, milk candy, snowball, which do you think is the best? Because it's all white and fluffy, and very cute."

Ye Lin was both amused and exasperated when she heard this: "It's a boy, isn't it a bit too pampered?"

Chen Nuo laughed when he heard this, and after thinking about it, he realized that he should give up the milk candy: "Okay, then let's have snowballs, how about it?"

Ye Lin looked at the puppy, patted its head, and smiled more deeply: "Okay, whatever you say, right, Little Snowball? Mommy is right, isn't she?"
