President, please comfort me.

Chapter 30 Add WeChat

"Buzz buzz buzz." The vibration of the phone broke the silence.

Xiao He opened the group chat and saw messages from Ye Lin, along with a screenshot of his WeChat Moments: "This is what you meant by 'business trip'? Taking your sister-in-law to Xiangcheng for fun?" @XH

Xiao He didn't reply to him, but instead zoomed in on the screenshot. In the screenshot, Tang Yue, Tang Chao, Ye Lin, A Chen, Xiao Yan, and Tang Hui had all liked it, and there were also many unfamiliar IDs saying they wanted to eat local specialties.

Suddenly realizing that he was the only one among the group who didn't have Wen Qi's phone number or wasn't her WeChat friend, Xiao He regretted his impulsive words and secretly had an idea.

Seeing him staring at his phone with a serious expression, Wen Qi thought something urgent had happened: "If you have something to do, go take care of it first. What time are you leaving tomorrow?"

Xiao He snapped out of his daze: "It's okay, just call me when you wake up tomorrow."

Wen Qi held a small cake in one hand and a small fork in the other, licked the cream off her lips, and blinked at him: "Okay, then I'll contact Achen in advance."

Xiao He said, "I've asked Achen to take care of something. He can contact me directly."

He touched his nose to hide his guilty conscience, and then casually opened the WeChat QR code: "Add me on WeChat, I'll send you the number later."

Wen Qi didn't think too much about it and obediently did as she was told, but she specifically categorized him into a list of people whose Moments she didn't allow him to see.

Putting down her phone, Wen Qi continued eating. Xiao He pursed his lips, wanting to say something more, but then thought about the intense work she had been doing these past two days and worried about tiring her out: "You've been busy for a few days, get some rest. I'll head out now."

Wen Qi's attention was mostly on the food at the moment, her mouth bulging: "Okay."

Back in his room, Xiao He excitedly checked Wen Qi's Moments on his phone, only to find nothing there. His good mood vanished instantly, and he could only stare at Wen Qi's profile picture in frustration.

Wen Qi's profile picture was a succulent, nothing special. Her WeChat name was simply the first two letters of pinyin, WQ. Xiao He changed her nickname to "Wife" without hesitation, and then a slight smile appeared on his lips. How could this not be considered tacit understanding?

Finally, he sent another message instructing Ah Chen to purchase local specialties from Xiangcheng the next day.

Just before going to bed, I received a message from Abiao: Done!

After finishing her cake, Wen Qi casually opened Xiao He's WeChat. Xiao He's WeChat name was XH, his profile picture was black and unreadable, and his Moments were completely empty.

The next day, a gentle breeze blew, the sky was cloudless, and the weather was fine.

Wen Qi finished her makeup early, wearing a white sleeveless tank top with a pink denim skirt, her hair tied into two cute little braids, a baseball cap in the same color as her skirt, white sneakers, and a cute bunny crossbody bag before heading out.

She called Xiao He as she walked, and the call was answered quickly: "I'm out, where are you?"

Xiao He, dressed in a black bathrobe, was sitting on the sofa working on documents and was in a good mood. Hearing this, he stood up and walked towards the door: "You're across from me. Come in first, I'm going to change my clothes."

Wen Qi stood at the door and knocked. The door opened the next second.

The man before me wore a loose bathrobe, tied only at the waist with a belt, revealing his muscular chest and abs, with his sexy V-line faintly visible.

Wen Qi watched secretly, unconsciously swallowed, and hurriedly slipped inside to sit on the living room sofa.

Xiao He observed her reaction and followed behind her, a smug smirk playing on his lips.

"Aren't you cold wearing so little? Go put on a coat." He kindly suggested, seeing how lightly Wen Qi was dressed.

Wen Qi disagreed: "No need, this is just right. Wearing too much will make you hot while shopping."

Xiao He didn't quite understand these young girls' fashion sense and ideas, so he turned around and went to the bedroom: "Okay, wait for me for a bit, we'll go to the dining room for breakfast later."

"Uh-huh."

Around 9 a.m., the two, dressed neatly, arrived at the hotel restaurant, chose a corner by the window, and began to eat breakfast.

Xiao He ate with elegance and composure, asking as he ate, "Is there anywhere in particular you'd like to go?"

On the contrary, Wen Qi was eating white rice balls with a soup spoon in her left hand and scallion pancakes in her right hand, eating with relish, her words mumbled: "I want to go to the food street to eat all kinds of snacks. I heard there are lots of delicious things there."

Xiao looked at her with a mixture of helplessness and doting: "Hmm, is there anything else?"

Wen Qi looked up and asked, "We're going back tomorrow, right? I'll just go out for a stroll this afternoon and bring back some local specialties for my friends. You can go about your business; you don't need to come with me."

Xiao He placed the newly served snacks in front of her: "You can stay a few more days if you want. I've already asked Achen to buy the local specialties. I'm not busy today."

"No need, I was just asking. I'll go back tomorrow. Why did Ah Chen suddenly go to buy local specialties? What he bought has nothing to do with me."

Seeing that she seemed genuinely clueless, Xiao He simply explained, "Don't worry about the local specialties. Ah Chen will buy them and give them to your friends."

Before Wen Qi could refuse, Xiao He spoke up again: "If you don't have any other plans this afternoon, I'll make the arrangements. Besides, Mom knows we're in Xiangcheng, and she called me last night specifically to ask me to accompany you around more."

Hearing that he had brought up Tang Hui, Wen Qi didn't hesitate and agreed directly: "Oh, I see, then okay."

Half an hour later, breakfast ended, and Xiao He took Wen Qi to the food street.

-

Food street.

Wen Qi stood eagerly in front of a stinky tofu stall, looking as if she hadn't eaten all day. She asked, "Do you want some?"

Xiao He frowned deeply and said, "I won't eat it. You eat it, but eat less. This doesn't look very hygienic."

Upon hearing this, the stall owner became displeased and immediately retorted, "Little sister, don't worry about my stinky tofu. I've been selling it for decades. It's absolutely authentic and hygienic. Your uncle doesn't seem to know much about it. Here, try it first. If you don't like it, you don't have to pay."

"Pfft." Hearing "Uncle," Wen Qi couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh out loud.

She turned to look at the man standing behind her: "Ahem, sorry, I couldn't help it, hahaha, hahaha."

Xiao He's face had turned as black as charcoal when he heard this, but seeing her all smiles, he instantly lost his temper and deliberately scared her: "Do you still want to eat?"

"Eat, eat, eat." Wen Qi fell silent immediately, trying to keep her smile subtle.

"Boss, he's not my uncle, he's more like my brother. Give me a serving of tofu, with extra cilantro."

"Okay, just a moment, young man, sorry about that."

Compared to being called 'uncle,' Xiao He was quite satisfied with the title 'brother,' and in a better mood, he paid the money readily.

There were too many people, and Wenqi didn't intend to argue with him about who would pay the bill on the street.

Three minutes later, Wen Qi took the stinky tofu, picked up the first piece, and stretched it towards Xiao He: "Really not going to try it?"
