President, please comfort me.

Chapter 1 Receive the Certificate

The Xiao family residence in the Baidufu Villa District of the capital city.

Wen Qi sat next to Xiao's mother, and Tang Hui held her hand with great heartache: "Xiao Qi, this is your home from now on. Your uncles, aunts, and Ahe are all your support."

Wen Qi's gaze quickly swept over the two slightly serious faces on the opposite sofa, which were six or seven parts similar, and finally settled on the elegant lady beside her. She smiled gently and said, neither humble nor arrogant, "Thank you, Uncle and Aunt, thank you, Brother Ahe."

Tang Hui didn't mean to dredge up Wen Qi's sad memories, so she quickly teased her, "You two should go get your marriage certificate tomorrow, and he'll be your husband."

Upon hearing "husband," even though she tried to remain calm, she couldn't help but blush. Wen Qi lowered her head and softly said, "Mmm."

Wen Qi's parents saved Tang Hui, and Tang Hui was very grateful. During her recovery at the Wen family home, she arranged a marriage between them.

Six months ago, Wen's parents were in a car accident on their way to the supermarket. Before they died, they were worried that Wen Qi would be left with no one to rely on in the future, so they asked her to come to the capital to find Tang Hui and told her to follow Tang Hui's arrangements from now on.

Tang Hui was heartbroken to learn of her savior's passing, but she never forgot their promise. After learning that Wen Qi was single, she privately asked the two of them for their opinions. Upon receiving their consent, she immediately decided to have them get their marriage certificate the next day.

Wenqi only learned about the arranged marriage after her parents' accident. She didn't plan to bring it up during this visit to avoid putting others in an awkward position.

But since Tang Hui had taken the initiative to say so, and the other person's appearance was exactly what she was looking for, Wen Qi figured she didn't have a boyfriend anyway, and her parents had been worried about her marriage before they passed away, fearing that no one would take care of her in the future, so she simply agreed.

The other party involved, Xiao He, also surprisingly agreed to the marriage, a departure from his usual style.

Given his past temperament, he would have resolutely refused to register a marriage with a woman he had never met, but this time he didn't say anything.

Tang Hui was shocked by this. Although the two families had indeed arranged a marriage between their children, she was not a feudalist. She hoped that both sides would agree to the children's marriage, otherwise it would go against their original intentions.

At this moment, Xiao He was sitting on the leather sofa. After hearing Wen Qi hum in response, he looked at her with a calm expression and a hint of research.

This should be considered the first time he truly looked at her.

She was about 1.7 meters tall, with skin as smooth as cream, slender arms and legs, and a curvaceous figure.

With her classic oval face, high nose bridge, perfect jawline, and slender neck, she exudes a fresh, pure, and noble aura.

Especially her large, watery eyes beneath those long eyelashes, like talking elves, making one suspect she's always plotting something wicked.

Even Xiao He, who was surrounded by beautiful women, had to admit that Wen Qi was extremely beautiful, even more stunning than in the photos.

Perhaps sensing that someone was watching her, Wen Qi straightened her posture and met Xiao He's gaze without any attempt to avoid it.

The two looked at each other without saying a word, exchanging glances.

The man in front of me was very handsome.

He has classic almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, a small mouth, thick lips, a narrow face, strong facial contours, a clear jawline, and a high Adam's apple. You can almost feel the endless power and impulse accumulating within him.

His face is full of collagen, making it impossible to tell that he's almost thirty. He has the look of a cool and aristocratic young master. You have to admit, he's very good-looking.

Seeing the two young people staring intently at each other, Xiao Yan, sitting to the side, touched his nose and wisely said, "Alright, Xiao Qi, it's getting late. Your aunt and uncle are getting old and can't stay up any longer, so we'll go back to our room first. Let Ahe keep you company for a chat."

Wen Qi looked away and politely and sensibly looked at Xiao Yan: "Okay, Uncle and Aunt, you should get some rest."

Afterwards, Xiao Yan and Tang Hui got up and went back to the second floor.

Wen Qi had been traveling all day. After they left, she was about to say goodnight to Xiao He when she noticed that the color of his eyes had suddenly become two shades lighter than before.

The man looked at her indifferently, his words devoid of any warmth: "I have other things to do. I'll pick you up at eight o'clock tomorrow morning. If you're late, I won't wait for you!" Without waiting for a reply, he immediately strode away from the villa.

Wen Qi frowned slightly, somewhat speechless, but didn't think too much about it. She got up and went to the bedroom that the Xiao family had arranged for her on the third floor.

Although I had already come up during the day, I was still taken aback when I opened the door again. The richest man in the capital city truly lived up to his reputation.

The room was spacious, and the decoration and furniture were extremely luxurious. The simple light-colored style suited her just right.

The huge walk-in closet is filled with rows of neat clothes racks, displaying seasonal clothes, bags, shoes, perfumes, and accessories in various colors and styles. A full-length mirror on the right side takes up the entire wall.

The living room even connects to a smaller open kitchen, there are cute plush toys on the sofa, and an exquisite hanging basket and chair on the balcony.

In fact, Wen Qi had contacted Tang Hui half a year ago, but due to her upcoming graduation, she did not come to the capital immediately.

After graduating, Xiao He moved out and rarely slept here anymore. Tang Hui had someone combine Xiao He's room and a study on the third floor and renovate them so that Wen Qi could come and live here after graduation.

Wenqi felt that her parents were right. Judging from today's conversation, apart from Xiao He being a bit cold, Aunt Tang and Uncle Xiao were both kind and friendly and treated her well.

After showering and applying body lotion, Wen Qi sat in front of the mirror, applying various bottles and jars to her face. Her years of dedication paid off; her fair skin was as smooth and tender as a freshly peeled egg.

After tidying up, Wen Qi lay on the bed. She was tired after a tense day, but she was able to fall asleep peacefully.

-

The next day.

Wen Qi rarely gets up early. She put on light makeup and curled her long hair into a simple French perm with a curling iron.

At eight o'clock sharp, Xiao He's car stopped in the yard on time.

The first thing I saw when I entered was a woman on the sofa. Unlike yesterday, who wore a ponytail, a T-shirt, and jeans, she had permed her hair, put on makeup, and wore a pure white dress, looking very feminine.

Tang Hui was talking to Wen Qi when she saw Xiao He arrive on time to pick her up. She was overjoyed, even though she had been worried that he was just trying to fool her.

She spoke softly, "Ahe, have you eaten?"

"I've eaten, Mom. I've come to pick up Xiaoqi." Xiao He's tone wasn't exactly warm, but it was completely different from how he spoke to Wen Qi yesterday, and even carried a hint of obedience.

Then he looked at Wen Qi and said, "Let's go."

Wen Qi stood up as Xiao He entered, ready to go at any moment. She smiled and said, "Aunt Hui, we'll be going now."

Tang Hui smiled broadly: "Go ahead, after you get the marriage certificate, let Ahe take you to the bridal chamber. You can tell him if there are any changes or additions you want. I've invited your uncle's family over for dinner tonight, so come back early."

"alright, I got it."

Xiao He didn't say anything, and turned to walk towards the door.

Bodyguard Ah Chen opened the back door for the two of them, and the car headed straight for the Civil Affairs Bureau.

They walked in silence, and half an hour later, the two of them had a red booklet in their hands.

Looking at the marriage certificate in her hand, Wen Qi was filled with emotion. On July 7th, at the age of twenty-three, she was actually getting married, and to a "stranger" at that. She could hardly believe it.

Xiao casually tossed the marriage certificate into the storage box, then took out a cigarette case from his pocket without any hesitation. The lighter made a crisp sound as he tilted his head slightly and lit a cigarette.

Exhaling a smoke ring, Xiao He looked at the woman beside him with a hoarse voice and expressionless face: "Now that we've registered our marriage, there are a few things I think are necessary to tell you in advance."
