Rebirth and Rewriting Fate

Mo Han glanced at her but remained silent. Swiftly, she mounted the horse, gripping the reins tightly. Squeezing her legs against the horse's flanks, she uttered a low, firm command. The horse seemed to understand its master's intention, instantly unleashing astonishing power, its forelegs leaping into the air like an arrow released from a bow. At that moment, the horse's muscles taut, their lines flowing with power, its forelegs tracing a graceful arc in the air. As the horse's forelegs touched the ground, the wheels were completely freed from the mud.

The rain continued to pour down, but the crisis had been averted.

"Great! Great! We finally got it done!" Everyone cheered. Although their hair was disheveled, their clothes were soaked, and they were covered in mud, smiles appeared on their faces, filled with the joy of surviving a disaster.

Sitting on horseback, Mo Han looked back at Yun Chu, her eyes filled with determination.

They soon arrived at the post station.

Yun Chu instructed Xu Li to lead the bodyguards in taking turns to wash, change clothes, and eat, since no one could afford to get sick and collapse.

When Yun Chu came out of the inner room after taking a bath, she saw Mo Han leaning against the door, holding an arrow. Her clothes were still dripping wet and her hair was messy, but she stayed there and did not leave.

When she saw Yun Chu come out, she stood up straight.

Yun Chu sighed, "Followed us the whole way?"

The other party remained silent.

"He sent you?"

"No, I snuck away here myself." Mo Han lowered his head.

"Run away without permission?" Yun Chu frowned, took a sip of hot tea, and said, "He is your master, you shouldn't have done this."

“But from the day you brought me before you, my duty has been to protect you, Miss,” Mo Han emphasized firmly.

Yun Chu said helplessly, "I have no relation to your prince anymore."

For a moment, the scene froze.

Xu Li knocked on the door. "Miss, I've brought the food."

"Come in."

Xu Li carried the food in and pushed the door open. After looking at the scene before him, he quickly understood. "Miss, please keep Mo Han here. It's not always convenient for me as a man. Mo Han is a woman who can protect you closely."

Yun Chu pondered for a moment, then decided that since they were already so far from the capital, even if she refused, given Mo Han's past personality, he would still secretly follow them.

"Go take a shower and change your clothes," Yun Chu said.

Mo Han's eyes lit up with surprise as she caught the implication, and she quickly replied, "Okay, I'll go right away."

Thus, Mo Han was added to the group on their journey to the Northern Regions. However, Mo Han was cold and aloof, her eyes seemed to be able to see into people's hearts, and her cold face gave people the illusion of keeping them at a distance.

The bodyguards didn't dare to associate with her, but they got along quite well with Xu Li, and were almost on friendly terms with him.

Xu Li learned that these bodyguards all came from the same village. Liu Da had brought them out to make a living. After everything was packed and arranged, Yun Chu immediately led Xu Li, Mo Han, and four bodyguards out the door to escort the goods, leaving two bodyguards to watch over the remaining merchandise. "We need to get the important business done first, to avoid any trouble or oversights," Yun Chu thought.

When the Northern Merchants, who had previously paid a deposit, actually saw the goods, they were stunned. They hadn't expected a woman to actually deliver the goods and complete the transaction on time. They inspected the goods and paid the balance readily. After receiving the goods, the Northern Merchants busied themselves with setting up the sale. Yun Chu observed that the Great Jin's goods displayed on the Northern shelves did indeed create a unique scene.

Yun Chu subtly inquired with the merchants about potential future business dealings and whether they could introduce her to other merchants. The merchants, however, evaded the question, presumably also wanting to assess sales; the profit-driven nature of merchants is indeed a timeless phenomenon.

Yun Chu had to reflect on her actions. She had been too unrealistic; establishing trade between the North and South was no easy feat. The distances were vast, and there needed to be both supply and demand. Even with orders, frequent trips were impossible; the time commitment was too long. Furthermore, she couldn't personally lead the team every time. Having reliable people was crucial. Although she had Xu Li, she couldn't bear the thought of Ping An not seeing her brother for most of the year. Therefore, she needed to carefully consider the feasibility of this plan.

After handing over the goods, Liu Da said he had an old friend here and wanted to ask for leave, which Yun Chu granted. She then took Xu Li and Mo Han for a stroll on the street.

The capital city of Lan in the northern region is indeed quite different from the capital, and the goods sold there are also different. She took a fancy to a few things and planned to bring them back to the capital, but she needed to find a way to sell the things she brought with her, and that was her next task.
