Back at the Prince's residence, Yun Chu felt that life was becoming more and more comfortable, and she didn't need to worry about anything. Gu Ruoxiao would rush back to dine with her every day at sunset, and during his days off, he would take her out for walks.

Gu Ruoxiao returned at noon that day, much earlier than usual.

"Why are you here so early today?" Yun Chu, who was just about to have lunch, hurriedly asked Nan Rao to bring another set of bowls and chopsticks.

"I finished my business at the Six Ministries today, and thought I'd come back to have a meal with you," Gu Ruoxiao said as she served food to Yun Chu.

However, just as Yun Chu was about to put the food in her mouth, a sudden fishy smell made her involuntarily frown. Then, a feeling of nausea welled up in her heart. "Ugh," she coughed lightly, trying to suppress the discomfort.

Gu Ruoxiao's expression immediately became tense. He gently put down his chopsticks, patted Yun Chu's back with concern, and asked anxiously, "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell? Is the food not to your liking?"

Yun Chu paused for a moment, then gently shook her head, her face slightly pale. "It's nothing, it's probably just that my stomach and spleen have been a little chilled lately, and I have this kind of reaction occasionally." She forced a smile, trying to reassure Gu Ruoxiao that she didn't need to worry too much.

"Has your uncle taken a look?" Gu Ruoxiao asked, but his brows did not relax. He knew that Yun Chu's body had always been rather delicate, and now that she had such symptoms, how could he not be worried?

"It's nothing, probably just like the stomach upset I had before. I'll be fine after a rest," Yun Chu explained, not wanting anyone to make a fuss.

“But the princess has been like this for the past two days, eating much less,” Zhu Ling couldn’t help but say.

Gu Ruoxiao only had dinner with Yun Chu and was unaware of these things, which made him somewhat anxious.

"Your Highness, I just parted ways with Feng Xing. I'll go and fetch him," Ping An said hastily, just as he was about to step into the house.

"Wait a moment. Chiwu, go and invite your uncle over," Gu Ruoxiao instructed.

Soon, Old Master Wei arrived. He took Yun Chu's pulse, glanced at her, and then took it again, switching hands, which made Gu Ruoxiao even more nervous.

After finishing his diagnosis, he slowly packed his medicine box and said, "It's nothing serious, just rest well. I'll go get some medicine to help with the pregnancy."

Upon hearing this, Gu Ruoxiao quickly said to Yun Chu, "It's alright, don't worry. Uncle said to rest more, he's going to get some medicine..."

Gu Ruoxiao stood up abruptly, somewhat agitated. "Uncle, what did you just say? What do you mean?"

He desperately needed confirmation.

“I said, I’m going to be a great-uncle,” Old Wei said, stroking his beard.

Gu Ruoxiao excitedly wrapped his arms around Yun Chu's shoulders, the strength of his hands seemingly conveying the surging emotions within him. Yun Chu looked at him and smiled, her eyes filled with tenderness and determination. "Yes, I heard you. You're going to be a father."

Seeing his nephew so excited he was almost frantic, Old Wei had to say, "Be quiet, there are two inside!"

His words stunned Yun Chu. Actually, Yun Chu had some suspicions before; her period hadn't come for a long time. But she thought it was because of her previous injury and her weak body. Moreover, when she took her own pulse, it sounded strange. She had originally planned to have Old Master Wei check on her again in a few days, but she never expected that she would be carrying twins.

Gu Ruoxiao's gaze was gentle and profound, softly resting on Yun Chu's belly, where two new lives were being nurtured—two tiny miracles he was about to witness. His eyes held both unbelievable joy and an indescribable sense of trepidation. Old Wei thought for a moment and then said, "About forty days."

Yun Chu thought for a moment, and realized that it must have been the night Gu Ruoxiao came back. Even though she was injured, they were still fooling around that night.

"Alright, I'll go write the prescription. You guys change some of the dishes and hurry up and eat." Old Wei gave a few instructions and stepped out the door. He was happy; he could hold two children again.

Since learning that Yun Chu was pregnant, Gu Ruoxiao only stayed in the mornings to work. Although he might not be able to come back to have lunch with Yun Chu, he would definitely come back to accompany her for a midday rest. When he had a lot of official business, he would have Chiwu send the memorials back to the mansion for processing.

Gu Ruoxiao returned home rather late that day. Yun Chu was dozing off on the chaise lounge when Gu Ruoxiao walked into the bedroom with a few sheets of paper in her hand.

Gu Ruoxiao didn't speak after entering, so Yun Chu looked at him with some confusion and asked, "What's wrong?"
