In the mountains and forests, the tiger pack walked alongside the column. Occasionally, a tiger would approach the soldiers, causing them to tense up and hold their breath. Tiger Xiao Liu stayed close to Shen Man, turning his head to look at her every now and then, as if afraid she would suddenly disappear.

Night fell silently, like thick ink.

Hu Xiaoliu stopped and gestured for everyone to set up camp and rest there. The soldiers quickly got to work, skillfully setting up tents and starting a fire to cook.

Shen Man sat by the campfire, gazing at the leaping flames, her thoughts drifting far away.

She recalled the time she spent with Hu Xiaoliu in Xiaoyao Village, when she was carefree and played with him in the mountains and forests.

Now, times have changed, and she has taken on a heavy mission, while Tiger Six has long since married and had children, becoming a highly respected leader in the tiger pack.

Tiger Xiao Liu strolled over, its massive body close to Shen Man's, and squatted down by the campfire, the warm orange firelight illuminating the colorful patterns on its body.

"Little Six, how are your parents and family?" Shen Man asked softly, thinking of the Tiger King and his wife and children.

“My parents passed away several years ago, and my wife and children are at home. By the way, Man’er, what have you been doing all these years, and why did you get involved in the conflict with the Kingdom of Mi?”

Shen Man sighed softly and began to recount her experiences. From raising silkworms and building a weaving workshop, to becoming the lord of the border city, and now receiving the mission to go to the Mi Kingdom, every step of her journey was filled with hardship and difficulty.

Tiger Xiaoliu listened quietly, a hint of heartache flashing in his eyes from time to time.

After Shen Man finished speaking, Hu Xiaoliu gently nuzzled her with his head, "Man'er, you've grown up, become more capable, and I admire you even more."

But this journey to the Kingdom of Myriad is fraught with danger; you must be extremely careful. If needed, my people and I will do everything in our power to help you.”

A warm feeling welled up in Shen Man's heart, and she reached out to hug Hu Xiaoliu's neck. "Xiaoliu, thank you. With you here, I feel much more at ease."

Just then, Cui Jinrong walked over, hesitated for a moment, and then asked, "City Lord, is this tiger really trustworthy? Wouldn't it be too risky for us to be around them?"

Shen Man released Hu Xiaoliu, stood up, and looked at Cui Jinrong with a serious expression. "General Meng, Xiaoliu and I have a life-or-death bond. It won't harm us."

Moreover, we are unfamiliar with the conditions of Dragon Ridge Mountain. With their help, we can avoid the miasma and proceed smoothly. Everyone should put aside their wariness and coexist peacefully with them.

Cui Jinrong nodded slightly. Although he still had doubts, he chose to trust Shen Man's judgment.

Nothing happened that night, and the next day, just as dawn was breaking, the team, led by Hu Xiaoliu, continued their journey.

The mountain road became increasingly rugged and difficult to traverse, with trees on both sides blocking out the sun. Occasionally, sunlight would filter through the gaps in the leaves, forming golden beams of light.

Perhaps because of the tiger's company, Shen Man and her companions not only did not encounter any more dangers along the way, but they also hardly saw any birds or beasts.

And so, after traveling together for two days, the group of people and the group of tigers finally reached the border of the Kingdom of Mi.

“Man’er, if you go down this road, you’ll be in the territory of the Kingdom of Mi,” Hu Xiaoliu’s voice was deep and gentle. “I can only take you this far. You have to be careful on the rest of the way.”

Shen Man felt a pang of reluctance. She stroked Hu Xiaoliu's head and said, "Xiaoliu, thank you for escorting me all the way. You must go back and take good care of your wife and children. When you have time, come visit me in Xiaoyao Village!"

Tiger Xiao Liu rubbed against Shen Man's hand, then turned and led the tiger pack into the forest, quickly disappearing from sight.

Shen Man took a deep breath and said to everyone, "Everyone, set up camp here. We will proceed according to plan in half an hour."

Immediately afterwards, Shen Man approached Wanfeng, gently stroking its neck as she whispered to it, "Wanfeng, I need you to break through the next checkpoint and enter the Mi Kingdom, creating some chaos for them, the bigger the commotion, the better."

After saying that, a sly glint flashed in Shen Man's eyes, as if she could already see the scene of the Mi people being thrown into chaos by Wan Feng.

Upon hearing this, Wanfeng's eyes flashed with excitement. His master wanted him to go to the Mi Kingdom to cause trouble. This was a piece of cake for him!

He took a half step forward, nuzzled Shen Man's hand with the tip of his nose, and hissed softly, "Don't worry, Master, I guarantee I'll complete the mission!"

It then reared up and charged quickly toward the outpost below the mountain.

"The bait team, prepare to descend the mountain to search for the horse in fifteen minutes!" Shen Man immediately gave the order, her eyes fixed on Wan Feng.

Wanfeng, like a black lightning bolt, rushed down the mountain road with a strong wind.

Its mane flew wildly around its neck, and as its four hooves took flight, it seemed to shatter the shackles of time, charging towards the checkpoint of the Kingdom of Mi with overwhelming force.

Upon seeing this, the guards of the Kingdom of Mi widened their eyes in surprise. Before they could even utter a cry of alarm, Wanfeng had already leaped high into the air, his agile body drawing a perfect arc in the sky, easily clearing the seemingly indestructible barrier.

When it landed, it kicked up a cloud of dust, which surged and billowed like a turbulent yellow smoke curtain.

Gravel mixed with dead leaves and debris pelted the guards, the coarse dust instantly covering their open mouths, squinting their terrified eyes, choking them and causing them to cough incessantly with tears streaming down their faces.

The originally orderly formation was completely thrown into disarray by this sudden "attack".

"Where did this horse come from? Stop it right now!"

The lead guard roared, his spear flashing like a snake, aimed straight at Wanfeng's vitals.

Wanfeng, however, was not afraid at all. It raised its head and neighed, its voice resounding through the sky. It nimbly twisted its body and skillfully weaved through the rain of arrows, each movement precisely avoiding the sharpest attacks.

Just as the spear was about to pierce through, it suddenly lowered its head and charged forward, its strong shoulder slamming into the guard. The force, like a small mountain, threw the two of them to the ground with a dull thud.

Taking advantage of the guards' disarray, Wanfeng let out a long neigh, raised its four hooves, and galloped towards the heart of the Mi Kingdom.

Its figure grew smaller and smaller, leaving only scattered spears on the ground, panicked guards, and the breached checkpoint, silently telling the story of this thrilling raid.

"Quickly, go back and report! A wild horse of unknown origin has entered our country!" the lead guard shouted in a panic.

Several guards stumbled back to report the news, while the rest struggled to tidy up the mess and re-form the ranks.

Meanwhile, on Shen Man's side, as soon as the fifteen-minute mark was up, the bait team quickly descended the mountain.

They pretended to be panicked and rushed towards the checkpoint.

When the guards of the Mi Kingdom saw them, they loudly stopped them and asked, "Who are you? What are you doing on the border of my Mi Kingdom?"

Song Siyuan, the leader of the bait team, stepped forward and respectfully said to the guards, "Reporting to your Excellency, I am a horse trader from Chiyan. Some time ago, I purchased a top-quality horse from Qirong and planned to transport it to the capital for sale."

Who knew that when we passed Longhu Mountain, the horse broke free of its reins like a madman and ran towards Longji Mountain. We chased after it all the way here, but it disappeared without a trace.

"May I ask, sir, have you seen my horse?"
