Some people have already guessed that it was a joke, but the fact that he was able to write more than 40,000 poems in his lifetime, even if they weren't great poems, is enough to show his perseverance!

Anyone who has been an emperor knows how busy those official duties were. After finishing court and reviewing memorials, they still had to compose poetry? Sometimes they didn't even want to go to the inner palace...

Overall, there are still more curious people.

Zhu Qinggu didn't dawdle, but continued, "It is said that one winter, he and his ministers were touring West Lake when they saw the scene of heavy snowfall. He was inspired to write a poem, 'One flake after another, three flakes, four flakes, five or six flakes, seven flakes, eight flakes, nine or ten flakes…'"

"They got stuck here, and the ministers were quite embarrassed. Just then, Grand Secretary Shen Deqian suddenly stepped forward and added, 'Flying into the reeds, they disappeared.' It was this finishing touch that made the poem the most widely circulated among Qianlong's more than 40,000 poems."

Cao Cao laughed heartily, "This is also poetry? I, Cao Cao, could write more than 40,000 poems by now."

"Is this also poetry?" Li Shimin had been somewhat expectant just now, but now there was just a huge mess stretching across the sky.

As an emperor with both literary and military talents, Li Shimin still has some works that have been passed down. Although they are not as widely circulated as those of the poets and lyricists mentioned on the screen, they are still worth reading!

This poem is so good that even a young child who has just started learning to read and write could probably compose it!

Similarly, it was a waste of the expectations of Li Bai, Du Fu, and Gao Shi.

The poets who followed gave it a thumbs up, saying it was all quantity and no quality!

Ouyang Xiu took back what he had just said, realizing that he hadn't misjudged the person.

Zhu Yuanzhang laughed heartily, "I am still far superior to this Manchu emperor."

Look at his poem, "The Golden Rooster Crows at Dawn." Although the beginning, "The rooster crows once and then pecks once," followed by "The rooster crows twice and pecks twice," is a bit cliché, it's still better than one, two, or three pieces of food.

Moreover, there's the following line, "Three cries summon the rising sun, sweeping away the remaining stars and the dawn moon," isn't that better than the others? A finishing touch, with a majestic and powerful momentum!

He brought it on himself!

Although Old Zhu is uneducated, who is born educated?

Isn't learning something you have to do from birth? He learned while fighting, and now he's not far behind at all; he's even surpassed the old guard!

Emperor Yongzheng was utterly humiliated, and his face grew increasingly dark. "From today onward, write less poetry and do more work... and get back to the Imperial Study to study!"

Hongli looked distressed. "Yes, Father Emperor."

After finishing his speech, Zhu Qinggu took a sip of tea, turned around and went behind the blackboard to write the words "2. General Manager Zhang," indicating that this was the second historical figure's nickname he was going to talk about today.

As I write, I can't help but think of many things.

Emperor Qianlong was a master of pranks, and so was his son, Emperor Jiaqing.

For example, the temple name "Gaozong" was no longer used after Zhao Gou. During his lifetime, Emperor Qianlong repeatedly hinted to Emperor Jiaqing to give him the temple name "Zu". In the end, Emperor Jiaqing still gave him the temple name "Gaozong", filling the gap of five hundred years since Zhao Gou. Moreover, Emperor Jiaqing later gave his father the temple name "Chun".

The meaning of 'pure' is quite good, but it sounds strange when read aloud. Even Emperor Qianlong was called the 'Pure Emperor'!

Because in the year that Emperor Qianlong secretly designated Emperor Jiaqing as his successor, he prayed to Heaven in his memorial text to take Jiaqing away.

At that time, Emperor Jiaqing was unaware that Emperor Qianlong had designated him as the crown prince, but he was probably disgusted when he later recalled the eulogy.

Later, when Emperor Qianlong announced Jiaqing as the Crown Prince, he made Jiaqing kneel and pay homage to Yonglian, who had passed away more than fifty years earlier. In his later years, when he received the British envoy, he also recalled the deceased Yongqi and said that Yongqi was his preferred successor.

Even after abdicating, Emperor Qianlong did not relinquish power.

Emperor Jiaqing was very patient, and finally endured until Emperor Qianlong passed away.

Later, when Qianlong's tomb cracked, Jiaqing did not rebuild it, but simply propped it up with two pillars.

During his lifetime, Emperor Qianlong amassed wealth through Heshen, and this practice spread to his subordinates, leading to widespread corruption in the court. After his death, Emperor Jiaqing wrote poems secretly lamenting his father's constant criticism, and the resentment he harbored could have nurtured a wicked swordsman.

No wonder Emperor Qianlong executed Heshen as soon as he died.

Zhu Qinggu couldn't help but laugh whenever he thought of these things.

Zhu Qinggu wrote another '3' on the blackboard, indicating that he was about to move on to the next nickname.

The people under the sky were both expectant and on tenterhooks. Watching others' excitement was fine, but what if they saw it happening to themselves... that wouldn't be good.

Then he quickly wrote 'Joke writer'.

"Since Qianlong and Kangxi have both mentioned it, let's talk about Yongzheng. Besides being known as the Cold-Faced King, Yongzheng had many other nicknames, such as dog lover, cosplay enthusiast, and even a comedian."

Zhu Qinggu figured that since he had already criticized the grandfather and grandson, he might as well not let Yongzheng off the hook.

She deeply resents the Qing Dynasty, especially its late period, so she feels no qualms about using them as nicknames now.

Several princes during the Kangxi era had a vague idea that Yinzhen would eventually ascend the throne, but looking at this taciturn and cold-faced fourth brother now, they felt that he was black-faced, black-hearted, and scheming!

"I'm not convinced, why him..." The Tenth Prince was about to say something defiantly, but was eventually silenced by the Ninth Prince who covered his mouth.

He was muttering to himself, his eyes darting around, just like the carefree characters in the movies and TV shows that were playing on the screen earlier.

"Tenth Prince, let's take a look at the sky first," the Eighth Prince said gently.

He immediately quieted down and obediently said, "Fine, I'll look!"

"We've always had this impression that the emperor's replies to his ministers' memorials were more formal and written."

“The memorials reviewed by Emperor Yongzheng were characterized by their directness. For example, when General Jiangning submitted a memorial to express his greetings, Emperor Yongzheng replied with a scathing rebuke: ‘You have no talent other than expressing gratitude. You are still strange, pretending to be a good person, being fussy and indecisive.’”

"And it's that reply again, 'I don't believe your lies and nonsense,'" Zhu Qinggu laughed. "He had four people work on the case together, and once they were all there, he immediately started cursing them as 'even more blind, deaf, and dead beasts.'"

"When he encountered a memorial he couldn't understand, he would directly yell, 'Are you out of your mind?'"

[Haha, I understand that sentence now.]

[Emperor Yongzheng also enjoyed fortune-telling. He told Nian Gengyao's fortune, saying that his eldest son would bring misfortune to his father. Then he told Longkodo that he was destined to have three sons, so he had Nian Gengyao's eldest son adopted by Longkodo. Nian Gengyao's eldest son was sickly and lived for a while after the adoption, but eventually died.]

[Emperor Yongzheng died from overwork. He worked for 20 hours out of 24, only sleeping for 4 hours. I'd be just as short-tempered if I were in his shoes.]
