After listening to Li Deyang's story, Su Ming's eyes revealed a firm determination.

So the group changed direction and headed west into the forest.

The land around the rune was a scorched black color and emitted a pungent, nauseating odor.

“This is it.

"Li Deyang pointed to the runes and said, 'When I came here last time, I sensed a powerful evil force here, but I didn't investigate it further.'"

Su Ming stepped forward and carefully examined the runes.

He discovered that the runes appeared to be an ancient script, but he did not recognize it.

He turned to Li Deyang and asked, "Senior Li, do you know what these runes mean?"

Li Deyang shook his head: "I don't recognize them either, but I think these runes must be the key to unlocking the secrets of the dark forces."

Su Ming pondered for a moment, then said, "Let's search the surrounding area first and see if we can find any other clues."

Upon hearing this, everyone dispersed and began to search the surrounding area carefully.

The cave was dark and damp, filled with a putrid stench.

Suddenly, a light footstep sound came from ahead. Su Ming immediately gestured for everyone to stop and remain quiet.

Everyone held their breath, watching nervously in the direction from which the sound came.

A moment later, a group of short, hideous monsters emerged from the darkness.

These monsters had green eyes, sharp fangs, and held various crude weapons, making them look extremely ferocious.

"Prepare for battle!" Su Ming shouted in a low voice. He was the first to rush forward, his weapon flashing coldly as he slashed at the monsters.

Everyone reacted quickly, unleashing their skills and engaging in a fierce battle with the monsters.

Su Ming unleashed the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation, which shimmered in the darkness like a whirlwind of death, causing monsters to fall wherever it went.

With everyone working together, the monsters' attacks were gradually brought under control.

But their sheer number, and the seemingly endless stream of them emerging from the darkness, plunged everyone into a difficult and protracted battle.

"This can't go on. We need to find their leader and kill him to end this battle."

"Su Ming shouted, as he parried the monster's attacks while searching for the monster leader.

After some observation, Su Ming discovered that the monsters seemed to be following the commands of a voice hidden in the darkness.

He looked in the direction of the sound and saw a huge figure looming in the depths of the cave.

"There it is!" Su Ming shouted and rushed towards the direction of the monster leader.

Seeing this, everyone followed behind Su Ming and launched a fierce attack on the monster leader.

With everyone's combined efforts, the monster leader finally revealed its true form.

It was a gigantic monster, more than two people tall, covered in black scales, with eyes like two giant lanterns emitting a red glow, and spewing black flames from its mouth, making it look terrifying.

"Everyone be careful, this monster is not easy to deal with!" Su Ming warned, as he manipulated the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation, launching wave after wave of attacks on the monster leader.

The monster leader seemed to be wary of the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation. It kept dodging the sword formation's attacks while directing the other monsters to counterattack.

During the fierce battle, Su Ming discovered a clear weak point in the monster leader's abdomen.

He shouted, "Everyone, concentrate your fire and attack its belly!"
