Li Jin's heart tightened. The sharpness of the Xuanyuan Sword had not yet dissipated when Sophie's scream from inside the cave was like a bucket of ice water being poured over his head. He turned around abruptly, ignoring Lin Na's escape, and leaped back into the cave in a few bounds.

The sight before him made his pupils shrink. Old Wang lay on the ground, his life hanging in the balance. Sophie sat slumped beside the Flower of Life, her face deathly pale, a trickle of blood seeping from the corner of her mouth. Zhang Hao, meanwhile, was frantically using Old Wang's strange staff to fend off a pitch-black monster that resembled a cheetah but had bat wings.

"Holy crap! What is that thing?!" Zhang Hao yelled at the top of his lungs as he dodged the monster's claws. "Old Li, if you don't come back soon, your wife is going to become this beast's dinner!"

Li Jin roared, and the Xuanyuan Sword's golden light surged, transforming into a golden dragon that roared as it charged towards the monster. The monster seemed to sense the threat, letting out a sharp screech, abandoning its attack on Sophie, and turning to face the golden dragon.

The golden dragon and the monster clashed fiercely in the cramped cave, causing rocks to crumble and dust to billow. Zhang Hao, protecting Sophie, hid to the side, watching the breathtaking battle unfold before him, and couldn't help but swallow hard. "Old Li's system is awesome! These special effects are even more exciting than Hollywood blockbusters!"

Sophie clutched her chest and said weakly, "Zhang Hao, Old Wang, he..."

Zhang Hao glanced at Old Wang lying on the ground and said casually, "It's nothing. The old man is old. He probably fainted from the noise of the fight."

He was unsure of what to do. Old Wang's face was ashen and his breathing was weak; he didn't look like someone who had simply fainted from fright.

The battle between Li Jin and the monster reached a fever pitch. Although the monster was ferocious, it gradually lost ground under the power of the Xuanyuan Sword. Finally, Li Jin seized an opportunity, and the Xuanyuan Sword pierced through the monster's chest.

The monster let out a shrill scream and vanished into a cloud of black mist.

Li Jin sheathed the Xuanyuan Sword, quickly walked to Su Fei's side, and asked with concern, "Su Fei, how are you?"

Sophie shook her head, forcing herself to speak through the pain, "I'm fine, just some internal injuries. Old Wang, he..."

Only then did Li Jin notice Old Wang's condition, and his expression immediately turned serious. "Old Wang!" He hurriedly went forward to check on him and found that Old Wang's breath was extremely weak, and the light of the Flower of Life had dimmed considerably.

Li Jin hesitated for a moment, knowing that Zhang Hao was right. Old Wang's condition was critical, and if he left, the consequences would be unimaginable if something unexpected happened.

Just then, Old Wang coughed a few times and slowly opened his eyes.

"Old Wang, you're awake!" Li Jin and Su Fei exclaimed in surprise.

Old Wang gave a weak smile and said, "I'm fine, I won't die... cough cough..."

"Old Wang, how are you? Who hurt you?" Li Jin asked anxiously.

Old Wang shook his head and said, "It was...it was Linna...she...she stole the Flower of Life..."

"What?!" Li Jin and Su Fei were both taken aback.

"She...she also said...that she wanted to...to use the Flower of Life...to resurrect...to resurrect..." Old Wang said, then suddenly coughed violently, and blood gushed from the corner of his mouth.

"Who should we revive?" Li Jin asked hurriedly.

With his last ounce of strength, Old Wang uttered haltingly, "Resurrection... of the Demon God..."

After saying that, Old Wang's head lolled to the side, and he lost his breath completely.

"Old Wang!" Li Jin and Su Fei were heartbroken.

Linna's voice, like a ghost from hell, echoed in the cave.

Li Jin turned around abruptly and saw Lin Na leading a group of men in black, reappearing at the cave entrance.

In Linna's hand, she held a flower that emitted a faint green light—the Flower of Life!

What shocked Li Jin even more was that behind Lin Na was a tall and burly figure.

The figure was shrouded in a black cloak, obscuring his face, but the terrifying aura emanating from him sent a chill down Li Jin's spine.

"Li Jin, it's been a long time."

The figure slowly raised its head, revealing a hideous and terrifying face.

"I'm back!"
