Keyboard Warrior's Otherworldly Adventure

Chapter 55 Reunion in Another World

Sophie's fingers curled slightly; the warmth of Li Jin's palm seeped through her thin skin, sending a tingling sensation through her. Her heart pounded like a drum; she wanted to pull her hand away, yet she was reluctant. The air between them seemed to freeze, with only their breathing clearly audible.

Li Jin's gaze was intense, as if he wanted to melt Sophie. Sensing Sophie's hesitation, he tightened his grip on her hand and said softly, "Sophie, I know I'm not good enough for you, but I'm truly grateful for everything you've done for me. Without you, I might have already…"

"Don't talk nonsense," Sophie finally mustered up her courage, raised her head to meet Li Jin's gaze, "You saved me, we're even." Her voice was still cold, but it had a hint of tenderness that was hard to detect.

Li Jin's lips curled up slightly, revealing a charming smile: "Is that so? Then it seems I'll have to save you a few more times."

Sophie was amused by his flippant tone and gave him a reproachful glare: "You're just being cheeky."

The atmosphere relaxed considerably, and Li Jin released Su Fei's hand at the opportune moment. Su Fei got up, walked to the table, poured a glass of water, and handed it to Li Jin: "Have some water."

Li Jin took the water glass and drank it all in one gulp. Only then did he notice that Sophie's face was a little pale and her eyes showed a hint of fatigue.

"Are you alright?" Li Jin asked with concern. "Are you too tired?"

Sophie shook her head: "I'm fine, just a little worried..."

"What are you worried about?"

Sophie hesitated for a moment, then said, "I'm worried that the people behind the men in black won't let this go."

Li Jin's face also darkened: "You're right, we need to be careful." He suddenly remembered something and asked, "By the way, Old Wang said he was going to interrogate the man in black, I wonder if he got anything out of him."

Sophie shook her head: "I don't know either. I've been taking care of you here ever since Old Wang left."

"Looks like we need to go ask Old Wang about the situation," Li Jin said, getting out of bed.

"Wait," Sophie quickly stopped him, "the poison in your body hasn't been completely cleared yet, you need to rest for a while longer."

Li Jin sighed helplessly, "Alright, I'll listen to you." He lay back down on the bed, looking at the carvings on the ceiling, lost in thought.

This other world is more dangerous than he imagined. He must improve his strength as soon as possible in order to protect himself and those around him.

Just then, there was a sudden noise outside the door.

"What's going on?" Li Jin and Su Fei exchanged a glance, both seeing confusion in each other's eyes.

Sophie walked to the door, gently pushed it open, and saw a group of guards surrounding the door, looking nervous.

"Your Highness," a guard said, bowing quickly upon seeing Sophie, "there is someone outside requesting an audience, saying they are your friend."

"My friend?" Sophie paused, then asked, "Who is it?"

He said his name was Zhang Hao.

"Zhang Hao!" Upon hearing this name, Li Jin suddenly sat up in bed.

Zhang Hao is his good friend in the real world, a computer genius. Could it be that he too has traveled to this world?

Li Jin quickly got out of bed and followed Su Fei outside the door.

A tall, thin young man wearing glasses was standing among the guards, looking around anxiously.

"Zhang Hao!" Li Jin shouted excitedly.

Hearing Li Jin's voice, Zhang Hao turned around abruptly. Seeing Li Jin, he was overjoyed: "Li Jin! It really is you! I thought I'd never see you again!"

He rushed over and hugged Li Jin tightly, so excited he was almost incoherent: "Thank goodness, you're alright! I was so worried about you!"

Li Jin patted Zhang Hao on the shoulder and smiled, "It's nice to see you too, but what are you doing here?"

Zhang Hao then noticed Su Fei standing to the side, quickly released Li Jin, and scratched his head awkwardly, "Um... I..."

Sophie looked at the two of them, a hint of doubt flashing in her eyes: "You two know each other?"

"Of course I know him," Li Jin said with a smile. "This is my college classmate and best friend, Zhang Hao, a computer genius. Zhang Hao, this is Princess Sophie, my... friend."

"Your Highness, greetings." Zhang Hao quickly bowed.

Sophie nodded slightly, then looked at Li Jin and asked, "Why is he here?"

Li Jin shrugged: "I don't know either, he hasn't had a chance to tell me yet."

"It's like this..." Zhang Hao took a deep breath and slowly began to explain, "After I discovered you were missing, I've been tracking your whereabouts. Based on the clues you left behind, I found this time-travel system, and then..."

He suddenly stopped, an incredulous expression on his face: "Wait, the layout of this room... it looks so similar to..."

He abruptly turned to look at Sophie, his eyes widening: "You...you're Princess Sophie?!"

Sophie smiled slightly and did not deny it.

Zhang Hao's mouth was wide open, and he couldn't say a word for a long time.

He never expected that Li Jin, whom he had been searching for so long, would be with a princess from another world! Moreover, how come this princess's room is so similar to a certain book he had treasured for many years...?
