Keyboard Warrior's Otherworldly Adventure

Chapter 52 Accidentally Entering an Elf Trap

The dazzling light gradually faded, and Li Jin felt as if he had been thrown out of a washing machine, his head spinning. He shook his head, tried to open his eyes, and found himself lying on a soft patch of grass.

"Damn, where am I?" Li Jin struggled to sit up and looked around.

This is a lush green grassland, with rolling mountains faintly visible in the distance. The air is fresh, and birds sing among the fragrant flowers, a stark contrast to the eerie and terrifying island in the middle of the lake we had seen before.

"Sophie?" Li Jin suddenly remembered Sophie and quickly turned around to look for her, only to find her lying next to him with her eyes closed and her face pale.

"Sophie! Sophie! Wake up!" Li Jin gently patted Sophie's cheek and called out anxiously.

Sophie's eyelids fluttered slightly, and she slowly opened her eyes, looking at Li Jin with a confused expression. "Li Jin...where...are we?"

"I don't know, it seems... I was teleported to some place." Li Jin helped Sophie sit up. "How are you feeling?"

Sophie rubbed her forehead and shook her head. "I'm a little dizzy... but it's okay." She looked around at her surroundings, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes. "This place... is so beautiful..."

Indeed, this grassland is as beautiful as a fairyland, with lush green grass, blooming flowers, fluttering butterflies, and warm sunshine that makes people feel incredibly comfortable and at ease.

"System, where is this place?" Li Jin asked in his mind.

"Ding! System scan indicates this is the outer perimeter of the 'Elf Forest,' a relatively safe area within this other world."

The Elf Forest? Li Jin's heart skipped a beat. Could this be the legendary place where elves live? Elves are known for their beautiful women! Thinking of this, a lewd smile crept onto Li Jin's lips.

"What are you thinking about?" Sophie noticed Li Jin's expression and asked curiously.

"Ah? No...nothing..." Li Jin quickly covered up, "I was just thinking about what we should do next."

"Let's rest here for a bit, I'm still feeling a little unwell," Sophie said.

Li Jin nodded, helped Sophie to a large tree, and let her sit down against the trunk. He then looked around, wary of their surroundings.

"Li Jin, look!" Sophie suddenly pointed to the distance and exclaimed.

Li Jin looked in the direction Sophie was pointing and saw a snow-white fawn looking at them curiously. It had a pair of crystal-clear antlers on its head that emitted a faint glow, making it look very cute.

"Wow, what an adorable little deer!" Sophie's eyes were filled with affection.

The fawn seemed to sense Sophie's kindness and slowly walked towards them.

"Don't move, let me take a look." Li Jin's heart skipped a beat. This little deer didn't look like an ordinary creature. Maybe it was some rare species. If he could catch it and sell it, wouldn't he be rich?

He cautiously approached the fawn and reached out to try and grab it.

However, just as his hand was about to touch the fawn, the fawn suddenly let out a sharp cry and turned to run away.

"Hey! Don't run away!" Li Jin quickly chased after him.

Sophie watched Li Jin chase after the deer and shook her head helplessly. That guy really is…

Li Jin chased the deer for a distance, but found that he couldn't catch up no matter what he did. The deer was incredibly fast and agile, moving freely through the grass.

"Damn it, this little thing is pretty cunning!" Li Jin stopped, panting, and cursed inwardly.

Just then, he suddenly felt his feet slip and he fell into a deep pit.

"Damn it!" Li Jin fell and was completely disoriented. He struggled to get up, only to find himself trapped in a small space with hard stone walls all around and only a sliver of light shining in from above.

"System, what's going on?" Li Jin thought to himself, "This is bad."

"Ding! Host detected to have fallen into a trap. The trap is made of unknown energy and cannot be forcibly broken through."

A trap? Li Jin felt a chill run down his spine. This Elf Forest was far too dangerous! First, there was the tentacle monster, and now there's a trap. Was this some kind of place where anyone could possibly survive?

He tried to attack the stone wall, but found it to be incredibly hard and impossible to budge.

"Damn it! This is a disaster!" Li Jin was filled with despair.

Suddenly, he heard a rustling sound above his head, and then a dark figure jumped down from the cave entrance.
