In the brief moment their skin touched, Li Jin could feel the slight tremor of Sophie's fingertips, like a gentle breeze rippling across a lake. He patted her hand softly and whispered, "You are my shield; no matter how fierce the storm, it cannot separate us."

Sophie couldn't help but smile, a gentle light spreading across her azure eyes. "We will drive away all the gloom and greet the dawn together."

Just then, Little White suddenly let out a sharp cry and quickly circled around them, like a little angel transformed into a whirlwind. Its movements were swift yet agile, prompting Li Jin to exclaim in admiration. "Don't you think Little White is the most dazzling star in this forest?"

Xiao Mei chuckled to herself, her eyes brimming with pride. "You're right. What makes me proud isn't that mountain, but my little white rabbit."

As soon as he finished speaking, Little White deftly and swiftly drew exquisite ripples around the man in black, clearly showing its hostility towards this uninvited guest. Li Jin understood immediately, quickly activating the shimmering orb in his hand and throwing it steadily, aiming directly at the ominous shadow.

The orb of light streaked across the night like a shooting star, its piercing whistling sound still lingering. At the same time, Sophie had already gathered her magic, and with a flick of her wrist, the blue-purple energy, like a phoenix chasing its dream, soared and followed Li Jin's orb of light into the darkness.

The moment the two forces collided, it was like fireworks bursting forth, forming a dazzling blade that shot straight toward the man in black. He raised his hand to defend himself, but only managed a flash of horror in his eyes.

In the bright, dazzling light, the passively defensive shadow of the man in black was instantly pierced, collapsing like a thin sheet of paper in a tsunami. Xiao Mei excitedly raised her arms and cheered, while Xiao Bai hummed a cheerful tune and circled around Li Jin, its tail gently brushing against his face, the fleeting tickle making him laugh out loud.

As soon as he finished speaking, his shadow turned into wisps of smoke and quickly disappeared into the deepest part of the forest.
