The wealthy military officer spoils his wife excessively

Chapter 8 A Dream of Enchanting Fragrance

She stuck out her tongue, looking a little guilty.

His home was pitifully simple; the stove was always empty, without even a pot. They spent the whole afternoon curled up on the sofa watching TV, and when they got hungry, they would call to order takeout.

While he went to pay, Suwen looked around at the gray walls and exclaimed, "This doesn't look like a home at all! There's not even a kettle."

He opened each takeout bag one by one, arranging the food on plates as he said, "It's just a place to sleep. Besides, I usually drink alcohol, not water."

Suwen followed the aroma and jumped over, tapping him on the back of the head: "Aren't you afraid of drinking yourself into a stomach perforation?"

After filling his stomach, Lu Zheng waved his hand, and Su Wen, like a little white rabbit, obediently hopped and skipped to the kitchen to clean up.

She squatted on the ground packing the trash one by one. He followed her, grabbed her neck from behind, turned her face, and kissed her.

Suwen cried out and dodged, playfully smearing the sauce on her hands onto his face, then struggling to escape from his entangled lips and teeth, licking it clean little by little.

There is a flowing warmth.

Lu Zheng pinned her to the ground, and their breathing became heavy.

A major conflict is inevitable.

Afterwards, Lu Zheng carried her to the sofa and carefully massaged her back, which had been chafed. Su Wen rarely enjoyed his service, so she nestled in his arms and hummed sweetly.

Lu Zheng's smile grew wider and wider. Finally, he whispered in her ear, seemingly saying something ambiguous, "It seems that this floor really should be replaced."

When Suwen moved in, all the wooden floors were replaced with carpet. The soft Angora wool went all the way up to the ankles, making it feel like walking on clouds.

She made a big fuss, ran around for a bit, and pointed to her feet, asking, "You even laid out a kitchen floor?"

It's white, isn't that a bit too extravagant? It'll probably drip with oil and sauce all over it!

Lu Zheng didn't say anything, he just ruffled her hair and smiled, a smile that looked incredibly irritating.

She walked around the house; although it severely lacked a homely atmosphere, it was still barely habitable, except…

She pointed to the only single bed in the center of the room: "I don't know if we can fit another bed in... If not, we'll just have to get a bigger one."

He nodded approvingly: "Yes, it should be a bigger one."

Lu Zheng drove her to the most expensive furniture store in the city. While introducing the products, the salesperson would occasionally glance at Su Wen with a suspicious look.

She had such a strong student-like air about her; she looked no more than a girl in her early teens. Since it was her first time choosing bedding, everything was new and exciting to her, and she chattered away like a little sparrow. Lu Zheng, on the other hand, was mature beyond his years, keeping a straight face and offering no opinion. Most of the time, Su Wen was the one talking to herself.

The other customers were either families of three or white-collar couples, discussing things amicably and harmoniously. But Su Wen and Lu Zheng... even the salesperson was sweating bullets.

"This is nice, the colors are cute. What do you think?"

"casual."

"What about this?"

"do not know."

"Then I'd better not buy it."

"Ok?"

"I'll sleep in the bed. You can decide whether to sleep on the sofa or the floor yourself."

He thought for a moment and readily agreed: "Alright, then I'll have to reluctantly sleep on top of you."

"Why are you sleeping on top and not on the bottom?" Suwen instinctively asked in return.

"So you like being on top?"

"Of course not..." Su Wen wanted to say more, but suddenly noticed that the salesperson beside her was blushing and trying to avoid her. Only then did she realize how... suggestive their conversation was.

The question was clearly about which color to buy, so how did it turn into a discussion about who was on top?

In the end, they chose a double bed with a retro pattern. In the evening, the two of them unfolded the sheets in the golden glow of the setting sun. As the folds unfurled, large white camellia blossoms burst forth, gradually turning golden by the sunset.

She was quite satisfied with the pattern she had chosen. She lay on the bed and smoothed out the wrinkles little by little. Lu Zheng threw the warm, sun-dried quilt up from behind, and she was completely covered by the thick quilt. Then Lu Zheng pounced on her, picked her up through the quilt, and wrapped her tightly in his arms.

His lips touched her forehead, a gentle kiss falling, his voice so soft it was almost melting: "Don't you think we should keep this new sheet as a memento?"

She shook her head frantically, dodging his kisses, giggling and yelling at him, "Vulgar! Shameless! Erotic!"

Unfortunately, the difference in strength was too great, and he was subdued in no time, pinned down and executed on the spot.

She trembled in his drenched sweat, and they embraced, both shivering. He sighed in relief, finally releasing, and held her tightly, unwilling to let go.

The sensual atmosphere in the room gradually dissipated. Suwen lay limp against his chest, quietly listening to his heartbeat. Suddenly, a strange "gurgling" sound filled the tranquil space.

It seemed so eerie in this ambiguous moment.

Neither of them spoke, and the room was quiet. First, Lu Zheng couldn't hold back, resting his chin on her neck, trembling as he suppressed a laugh. Finally, unable to hold back any longer, the two hugged each other, laughing so hard they were doubled over.

"Little glutton, still not full?"

Suwen poked his soft belly with her finger: "Is it yours, Young Master Lu?"

He was still smiling. He bit her outstretched finger and teased her for a while. After a long time, he said softly, "Let's cook at home next time."

Because of one sentence from him, Suwen, who had never cooked before, began to learn how to cook soup.

There's a dream I've had since the moment I met him, and I've never woken up from it.

When the doorbell rang, Suwen was still lost in a sweet dream, so she impatiently curled up and nudged Lu Zheng behind her with her elbow.

Lu Zheng gave a muffled "hmm," then slipped his arm under her armpit and hugged her even tighter.

So the two continued to sleep in each other's arms.

The person ringing the doorbell had great patience, and the ringing continued.

Suwen finally got annoyed, rubbed her temples, and pushed Lu Zheng: "Get up, go open the door."

Lu Zheng grabbed her small hand and tucked it into the blankets, then fell into a deep sleep again.

Suwen was always grumpy when she woke up. Seeing him like this, she curled up her legs and hooked her knee right into his groin.

"Oh—" Lu Zheng cried out in pain, then reluctantly sat up, pulled her into his arms and "retaliated" against her again, before putting on his slippers and going to open the door.

The doorbell stopped abruptly, and a soft murmur arose at the doorway; the speaker seemed to be deliberately lowering their voice.

Suwen shrank further under the covers. She didn't care who the person was; she just wanted to continue her sweet dream.

After a while, just as she was about to fall asleep, Lu Zheng returned. He quietly began to dress, and finally slipped his cold hand under the covers and affectionately pinched her cheek. She waved her hand away and heard his deep, pleasant laughter.

He said, "Susu, I'm going out for a bit. I'll come back and bring you breakfast. What would you like to eat?"

She didn't even bother to open her eyes, replying half-asleep, "Oh... then potstickers..."

"Okay." He leaned down and gave her a cool kiss, which he left in a flash. "You can sleep a little longer." He tucked her in before leaving.

When Su asked, Lu Zheng indeed bought her the potstickers from her favorite shop downstairs, and brought back a gentle and beautiful girl as well.

The girl was about the same age as her, with pale, translucent skin that looked so delicate it seemed as if it would break at the slightest touch. She was very polite in her manners and speech. When she saw Su Wen walking out in disheveled clothes, she was slightly taken aback at first, but still smiled at her in a friendly manner and introduced herself: "Hello, I am Xiao Yuan."

Su Wen could tell at first glance that she came from a prestigious family, and at the same time sensed that the visitor was not friendly. Instead of immediately introducing herself, she scratched her messy hair, glanced at Lu Zheng, and said, "You have a guest?"

Then, without waiting for his reply, she went into the bathroom on her own.

She turned the tap on full blast inside, and the water gushed out. After a moment of silence, people started talking again outside. The sound was a little unclear through the water, but she vaguely heard the girl call Lu Zheng "Third Brother" and mention something about her maternal grandfather.

It turned out to be his sister.

She unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, and while brushing her teeth, she tilted her head and thought: But why do they have the same surname, Lu and Xiao? And if Lu Zheng has such a rich sister, why does he need to make money by racing cars?

If she wasn't mistaken, all of Xiao Yuan's clothes were custom-made by a private tailor. Back when her bureau chief father hadn't yet "betrayed" her, he had taken her to visit a commander's home, and she had happened to see such a tailor. These bespoke clothes were far more comfortable than the standard sizes in department stores, and the styles were also unique.

She lingered in the restroom for a while before they finally finished talking. Lu Zheng came over and asked her if she had classes in the morning. She said she had classes during the third and fourth periods. He suggested they go out together; he would take Xiao Yuan to the hotel first, and then take her to school.

Suwen shook her head and said that the school wasn't far away anyway, she could just take the bus.

When she left, Xiao Yuan was still very polite, smiling and saying, "Thank you for your hospitality. I'll visit again when I have the chance."

She could only force a smile. She hadn't actually hosted anyone; the person who wanted to visit was probably not her, but Lu Zheng.

That womanizer, I'll interrogate him properly when he gets back tonight.

After finishing two classes, it was exactly 11:30. She was planning to go to the cafeteria to grab a quick bite when she unexpectedly saw Xiao Yuan again at the stairwell.

She stood there, looked up, and saw Suwen walking down. She nodded and smiled at her.

She had been waiting for her.

"Hi, what a coincidence." Suwen had no choice but to pretend to be clueless and greet her with a smile.

"Want to have lunch together? I have something I want to tell you." Xiao Yuan smiled, and the lines were exactly what she had guessed.
