The wealthy military officer spoils his wife excessively
Chapter 34 He forced me
The kiss was light and gentle. A slow, gentle sucking. Mmm, just as he had imagined, tender and sweet.
Recalling her embarrassment in the parking lot last time, Suwen's face quickly turned red, and she called out to her with a hint of annoyance, "Hey."
"Alright. Do I consider myself to have passed today?" He asked seriously, knowing when to stop.
"What pass?"
"It's your roommate. Didn't you introduce me to her today? What did she say?"
She just couldn't bring herself to say the word "top-quality...duck."
"It's alright."
Suwen casually brushed him off. But he grabbed her hand and held it in his palm: "It seems I'm not good enough yet, I need to keep working hard."
Lu Zheng looked at her intently; his eyes were brighter than the stars in the sky, as if light was bursting forth.
“Lu Zheng…” she suddenly stammered, overwhelmed with gratitude, “Don’t be so good to me, I’ll never be able to repay you…”
“If you can’t pay it back, you can pay it back slowly.” Lu Zheng paused for a moment and said casually, “You are now a contracted artist of the company, and it won’t be a problem to squeeze a few million out of you in the next five years.”
He thought he was talking about the money he lost at the mahjong table that day?
Okay, well, it's something she can't repay.
She felt uneasy for a long time after paying the bill that day. When she went to bed that night, she pulled him aside and said, "Hey, Lu Zheng, you're so close to Xiao Rong and the others, they won't really ask you for money, will they?"
At that moment, someone was in the throes of passion in a certain area, but her jarring words were a rude awakening, leaving him instantly powerless and collapsing onto the bed, showing signs of despondency.
I never imagined that someone would hold a grudge to this day.
"Didn't you say you could still afford to support me even if I lost a little more?" Suwen looked at him with a mournful expression.
The person pressed on: "So, do you want me to raise it?"
"..."
Just as things were getting awkward, Lu Zheng's phone, which was on the center console, rang. He glanced at it, his expression changed drastically, and he got out of the car to answer it.
After a while, he returned to the car and said to her, "Susu, something came up at the company. I'll take you home first."
Lu Zheng hadn't been back to the Lu family home for a long time. There used to be a weekly family gathering, but that was discontinued when the old man's health declined. Returning late at night, the newly painted walls and windows reflected a faint glaze under the porch light. He paused for a moment, then Lu Wenyi came out of the house, teasing him, "Why are you just standing there? You haven't been back in so long, don't you recognize the door anymore?"
"Auntie," he called out expressionlessly.
"You're eating out with friends? I had Feng Zhan call you a few times, but you didn't answer."
Lu Wenyi poured him some tea, and he picked it up, took a sip, and mumbled, "Hmm, an important friend." Then he put the cup down.
Lu Wenyi fixed her gaze on him, staring at him for a while before softly saying, "You must be that Miss Nie."
Lu Zheng was silent for a moment, then asked, "Why did you call me back?"
Lu Wenyi sighed and pushed a stack of today's morning and evening papers in front of him. Lu Zheng glanced at them; Feng Zhan was quite thoughtful, having even flipped through each one and placed it in the entertainment section so that he could see his own photo at a glance.
"The old man was a leader in the army his whole life, and he never made the headlines for anything like this. Your mother and I had strict family discipline, and we never did anything to show our faces when we were young. You know, the old man has been hoping for a son like you, surnamed Lu, for most of his life. But instead of learning from others, you've become like that little brat from Commander Xiao's family, appearing in the newspapers with minor celebrities. You really disappoint me."
Lu Zheng remained unmoved: "What did Grandpa say?"
"The old man doesn't know about this yet. I had Feng Zhan put all the newspapers away."
Lu Zheng breathed a sigh of relief. At least his aunt wouldn't talk to Su Wen behind his back if she spoke to him privately like this.
No sooner had she finished speaking than she heard an old man coughing on the stairs. Lu Wenyi was startled and stood up: "Dad."
Lu Haibo glanced at her, then, leaning on his cane, refused Feng Zhan's help and walked downstairs on his own. The old man had aged drastically in the past two years due to illness; the wrinkles around his eyes and on his forehead had multiplied, and his hair had turned completely white and was almost gone.
Before him was no longer the imposing old general, but a frail old man.
Feng Zhan stood behind the old man, winking at the two of them. Lu Wenyi realized what was happening and tried to hide the newspaper on the table, but this little action did not escape the old man's eyes: "What are you hiding? This little brat has been spoiled by you!"
The two then understood what Feng Zhan meant by giving them meaningful glances: the old man had already seen it.
After scolding Lu Wenyi, the old man turned to Lu Zheng and said, "I should have had you tied up and taken to the army back then. They said you were going to do business, but look at all the shady characters you've been hanging out with. You don't learn anything good, you only learn those corrupt habits of eating, drinking, and having fun. My reputation, which I have built up over most of my life, will be ruined by you, you little brat."
Lu Zheng remained remarkably calm: "In that case, I won't stay here and ruin your reputation, Aunt. If there's nothing else, I'll head back now."
"You bastard!" The old man slammed his cane on the ground with a thud. "Get out of here!"
Lu Wenyi quickly smoothed things over: "Let's talk things out. The old and the young all have the same temper. If we meet, we can't even exchange a few words before we get into a stalemate." She then scolded Lu Zheng: "How dare you talk back to your grandfather? Hurry up and apologize to him."
“Heh,” Lu Zheng said indifferently, “If he had his own son, would he care about my grandson? Just pretend that I don’t exist in the Lu family.”
Lu Haibo was furious, but instead of getting angry, he laughed: "Fine, very well. You have guts and you can hold on. I want to see how long that girl can hold on."
Lu Zheng stood up abruptly: "You dare touch her?"
The old man was furious, his cane slamming against the floor tiles with a trembling sound: "You brat, you're getting more and more outrageous. When I was fighting in the Vietnam War, your old man wasn't even born yet, and now you dare to challenge me?"
Lu Zheng sneered: "Yes, you are my maternal grandfather and a high-ranking military and political official. Even if you send someone to take care of her without making a sound, I can't do anything to you. I can't control others, but can't I control myself? Remember, if Su Su loses a single hair, I will cut off a finger myself. If anything happens to her, you can expect to be an old man burying his young daughter."
After saying this, he became extremely calm, turned around, and walked out with a livid face.
"My Lu family has no good-for-nothing descendants like you!" Lu Haibo roared from behind, veins bulging on his forehead.
Feng Zhan tried to chase after him, but the old man glared at him so fiercely that he died.
Lu Zheng strode into the garage, bringing with him a chilling aura. Even before the car was inside, he floored the accelerator, the engine humming as it instantly reached 100 km/h, startling the sentry on duty as it sped out of the Lu family compound.
Before the guards could even lift the sentry barricade, several sharp cracking sounds rang out, and Lu Zheng dashed forward like a meteor, smashing through the barricade and crashing straight into a century-old ginkgo tree on the opposite side.
With a deafening roar, the massive canopy trembled, scattering leaves that dotted the sapphire blue hood with golden flecks. The Jaguar, which had been driving like a madman, finally came to a stop.
All nine airbags deployed simultaneously, slamming heavily into his chest. Blood slowly trickled down his forehead, tickling him. He was helplessly trapped in the seat, and slowly, a smile crept onto his lips.
Three years ago, Nie Suwen left without a word. He was in agony, but he couldn't find the reason.
He believed she had her reasons, and he knew that all of this was related to his grandfather.
So what about three years later? If these people come to her again, will she leave them again?
If that's the case, we might as well kill him first.
Tick-tock, tick-tock... The sound of the instruments repeated endlessly. The hospital always smelled like this, and Lu Zheng now understood why Su Wen was afraid of injections and medicine.
Since he woke up, those same figures have been coming and going. The doctor routinely examined him, taking his blood pressure, checking his heartbeat, and scanning his pupils. He cooperated mechanically, a hint of weariness showing on his pale face.
After the doctors and nurses left, Lu Wenyi stood up, looked down at him, and asked, "You've really gone all out for that girl this time, even risking your life?"
Lu Zheng stared blankly at the ceiling, as if he didn't even have the strength to speak.
The injuries weren't serious; there were no fractures or internal bleeding, making it much less serious than the car accident three years ago. Since learning of the accident, the old man had been so angry that he locked himself in his study and wouldn't even bother to visit him, nor would he call Feng Zhan over. So only Lu Wenyi managed to squeeze in a visit when she had a spare moment.
Lu Wenyi sighed: "You know perfectly well that the old man doesn't have many years left to live with his illness. It's questionable whether he can even make it through this winter. Do you really have to force him to his death at this critical juncture?"
Lu Zheng said calmly, "It wasn't me who forced him, it was him who forced me."
Lu Wenyi was also furious: "Did he force you to drive at 120 km/h at home? Did he force you to crash into a tree? If you continue to be so willful, your aunt can't stand idly by."
He paused, his voice hoarse: "I just hope that he will consider that I am still in the hospital and will not harm Susu for the time being."
"I really don't know where you inherited your womanizing ways. You're just like your heartless father..." Lu Wenyi realized she had misspoke and quickly stopped herself, her hand already on the doorknob. She turned back and said, "Just focus on getting better. I'll have someone keep an eye on the girl for you. But remember, this is a one-time thing. If you do anything outrageous again, I can't protect her."
Suwen curled up on the sofa all night and woke up rubbing her eyes in the morning, her waist aching and sore.
The TV was still on, and the morning news anchor was speaking at a rapid pace. She was momentarily stunned, then looked up at the time display in the upper right corner. It was already seven o'clock.
