The Rebirth of Bai Qi: The Way of Qi
Chapter 328 Mystery in the Desert
The sandstorm swept across the sky, obscuring the sun, like a giant, endless dragon, roaring and swirling between heaven and earth, as if it wanted to devour all life.
Bai Qi concealed his aura, the sweat on his forehead was blown away by the gale, leaving only the intense heat still carrying a trace of battlefield heat burning quietly within his body.
He turned to look at Han Fu and Han Xin, who were walking side by side. Although they looked tired, they were resolute and fearless. The trust in their eyes comforted Bai Qi.
"We need to avoid those spies and go deeper into the desert; maybe we can shake them off."
Bai Qi said this without the slightest hesitation, clearly having made up his mind.
"The vast desert is fraught with danger. Legend has it that this place was once the home of an ancient secret tribe, so we must be extra careful on this journey."
Han Xin's face was serious. He was no stranger to the desert. Legend has it that this sea of sand was not only a deadly place, but also a place where unknown opportunities were buried.
"Given our current state, how long can we hold out?" Bai Qi slowly walked towards the mountains, gently stroking the sand and dust in front of him, feeling the desolate atmosphere of this wilderness.
"With your Sword of Dawn, we can break through the encirclement and reverse the desperate situation."
Han Fu's reputation as a "female general" was evident in her expression at this moment. Her confident demeanor seemed to infuse an invisible force, inspiring her companions.
Just then, Bai Qi suddenly stopped in his tracks, his gaze fixed on a spot not far ahead, where sand and dust swirled, and a tall ancient stone tablet could be vaguely seen. The mottled patterns on the tablet seemed to tell an ancient legend that had never changed.
Beneath the stone tablet, a hidden entrance leading to the underground was revealed.
Han Xin's eyes lit up: "It seems to be a hidden place protected by a woman. Perhaps this is the legendary Realm of Reversing Fate."
“Now it seems we have no other choice.” Bai Qi did not hesitate for long; he knew what kind of miracles these legends could unleash.
He adjusted his breathing, gathered his strength, and leaped into the vortex-like gate of the desert, with Han Fu and Han Xin following closely behind.
Upon entering, one is greeted by a chilling wind, like ice that has never melted for millennia, a stark contrast to the scorching heat of the desert outside.
The three walked cautiously through the rugged underground passage. Ancient bas-reliefs were carved on the stone walls, depicting mysterious images of dragons soaring through the sky and stars shining brightly.
Unbeknownst to them, they had stepped into a magnificent stone palace. The palace was half-lit and half-dark, and the walls were inlaid with rare crystals, reflecting a scattering of light, making the whole palace seem like a dream.
At the very center is a steeply rising platform surrounded by an unknown, mysterious mechanism. On the platform stands a huge metal statue, resembling an ancient war god clad in armor, with a resolute and piercing face.
"Where is this?" Han Fu asked softly, puzzled. She looked at the shimmering lights and shadows, but she did not let her guard down.
Bai Qi looked around and a strange feeling suddenly welled up in his heart, as if this place had some mysterious connection with his past life.
He stepped forward to examine the ancient statue closely, and felt an overwhelming aura of timelessness emanating from it, making him feel awe.
Suddenly, Han Xin noticed something unusual about a small mechanism. He pointed silently to the foot of the statue, where a nearly imperceptible fire hole was hidden. These mechanisms may seem harmless, but if triggered, they could be extremely dangerous.
Bai Qi was already on guard. He summoned the Dawn Sword in his hand, and the fierce sword light filled the surroundings with radiance. It was the power of the Dawn Sword that caused the dust on the statue to fall down, and a tattered bronze scroll slowly slid out from the side of the statue.
Han Xin and Han Fu watched all the changes closely, their faces showing inquisitive expressions.
Bai Qi picked up the scroll and was about to unfold it when Han Xin suddenly looked up with a strange light in his eyes and shouted, "Be careful!"
We may have touched something we shouldn't have!
Before the words were finished, a deep rumble suddenly echoed throughout the hall. The stone walls on both sides of the statue suddenly split open, as if a nemesis bound by countless chains had finally awakened, releasing a fierce shock with a mournful cry after years of silence.
Immediately, a foul wind swept in, piercing and threatening, whipping up countless grains of sand and pebbles as it was swung, like a raging dragon descending upon the enemy ranks.
Bai Qi moved like a steed, wielding his longsword as he launched a sharp and fierce counterattack.
However, the enemy figure they found seemed to appear in a dream, and in an instant it had retreated to right before their eyes.
It is a life-or-death struggle in an instant, but there are also opportunities to turn danger into safety.
This extremely urgent situation forced Han Xin and Han Fu to follow closely behind. They stood firmly on either side of Bai Qi, forming an ironclad defensive line to face the onslaught head-on.
The three released intense pressure to steady their minds, and their weapons converged into a stream of chaotic energy, ready to clash with the attacking sand beast.
In this extremely narrow space, every clash was earth-shattering, yet their combined efforts reversed their fate.
In the lulls between these fierce battles, the Dawn Sword wielded by Bai Qi remained a dazzling guide, leading the charge to find a new path amidst the urgency of the situation.
During this process, Bai Qi realized that his previous understanding of Qi cultivation seemed to have deepened.
In this invisible oppression and resistance, he seemed to have resonated with the secret realm of this world. At the same time, he once again witnessed an extreme situation that the Heavenly Dao had never revealed to the world.
This newfound understanding stirred within him, and he fell into deep contemplation—justice and evil, kindness and wickedness, all needed to be carefully weighed deep within the soul.
However, even in such a desperate situation, Bai Qi felt a strange sense of relief, as if he had regained a long-lost sense of freedom.
As he set off, he whispered to his two companions behind him, "Perhaps we have touched the horizon of some truth."
Han Xin and Han Fu also slipped in, nodding as if they understood something.
Taking advantage of the situation, they walked with Bai Qi into the steep and treacherous depths of the desert, to greet another dawn that was unknown there.
The road ahead is uncertain, the desert stretches endlessly, and the battle between good and evil continues, but every footprint bears witness to confidence and eternal glory.
This unknown place will witness the beginning of another reversal of fate, and Bai Qi's belief is as boundless and eternal as this world.
