The Rebirth of Bai Qi: The Way of Qi

Under the moonlight, the world was utterly silent. Bai Qi, Han Xin, Han Fu, Situ Yan, and Xu Qiao stood atop the mountain, gazing at the distant, rolling mountains, pondering their next move.

After cultivating in the place where "Qi flows converge", everyone could vaguely feel that the Qi in their bodies was becoming more and more abundant, flowing endlessly like a river.

Bai Qi stood still for a moment, his mind as clear and tranquil as still water. Recalling the moment of fighting against the Earthly Fiends, the unwavering belief in his heart became even clearer.

He said to Han Xin and the others, "It is almost night. We might as well rest here for a while and continue our journey after night falls."

Han Xin nodded, his gaze fixed intently on the rugged rocks in the distance: "Brother Bai is absolutely right."

This place is both secluded and advantageous for defense; practicing at night might allow one to better comprehend the origin of Qi.

Han Fu gently unfurled her cloak and spread it on the ground to rest. She smiled sweetly and said, "After a long day of hard work, I finally have a chance to sleep peacefully. I am extremely tired."

Situ Yan covered her mouth and chuckled softly, saying gently, "A short rest is just the right time to calm our minds and gather our strength for tomorrow's journey."

Xu Qiao sat to one side, gazing at the pale blue moon in the sky, his heart at peace. The dangers and trials of the past few days had made him much more mature than before.

However, just as everyone closed their eyes to rest and gradually entered a tranquil state of meditation, a slight noise suddenly came from afar.

The sound initially seemed like just the rustling of a breeze through the trees, but gradually it became clearer and clearer, as if it came from some long-dormant creature in the surrounding area.

Bai Qi suddenly opened his eyes, his gaze bright and piercing. His warrior's intuition immediately told him that a sudden change was about to occur.

He exchanged glances with Han Xin and Han Fu, their expressions revealing a sense of vigilance.

"It's an ambush!" Han Xin said in a low voice, his tone serious and wary.

Without making a sound, he reached out and gripped the long sword at his waist.

Xu Qiao felt a chill run down his spine. Accustomed to life in the mountains, he also realized that his whereabouts had been discovered by the enemy, and his expression inevitably revealed tension: "These people have been lying in ambush here for a long time."

Sensing the change in atmosphere, Situ Yan broke the silence and gently reassured everyone, "If everyone works together, we will surely turn misfortune into good fortune."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than an invisible gust of wind suddenly swept through the darkness, and shadowy figures rushed out from all directions in the forest, arrows raining down as they closed in.

Bai Qi reacted swiftly, flipping over and leaping into the air. He swung his longsword, unleashing a torrent of Qi that pierced the sky with its sharp light, deflecting the incoming arrows.

The enemy forces indeed came in a fierce manner, appearing all at once and surrounding the mountaintop in an instant.

With a faint whistling sound carried on the night wind, a group of assassins appeared silently like ghosts. They were all dressed in black, agile, and moved like the wind.

From their fierce yet focused expressions, Bai Qi realized that these people were well-trained and no ordinary individuals.

"The enemy is a henchman of Li Si, and must have been waiting in secret for a long time."

Bai Qi said in a deep voice, swinging his sword to repel several enemies who were getting close.

Han Xin and Han Fu quickly joined the battle. Han Fu wore light armor and wielded his long whip with the agility of a dragon and snake, forcing back several enemies.

Han Xin wielded his sword with all his might, and in the midst of the battle, the Qi within his body seemed to transform into boundless power, repelling all the enemies who came towards him.

Amidst this fierce exchange, Situ Yan calmed herself down and adjusted her breathing from a distance.

Knowing that she was not skilled in martial arts, she focused her mind and used her musical talent to calmly sing a gentle melody.

The singing flowed through the air like water, soothing and moving, as if comforting everyone's hearts in the fiery night.

Xu Qiao nimbly moved among the rocks, occasionally whispering as he adjusted his position and posture.

He used his keen intuition to detect the enemy's movements and promptly warned his comrades to avoid the impending attack.

Seeing that they could not break through after a long siege, the enemy became increasingly agitated. The leader gave the order, and the close-range arrows became denser and more fierce.

Bai Qi's figure was like a tiger in the wind, his sword light was cold and sharp, and he was like a shooting star in the dark night. Wherever his sharpness reached, the enemy fell to the ground.

Suddenly, Bai Qi whirled around in the darkness and saw a tall but exceptionally agile man approaching from the side. The man wielded an iron mace with lightning speed, drawing a brilliant arc in the night as it hurtled straight toward Bai Qi's face.

Bai Qi remained calm and composed. He moved his feet and instantly sidestepped, displaying an invisible footwork technique. He then held his long sword horizontally in front of him to block the fierce attack.

The two forces clashed, their maces and swords intersecting, sparking dazzling fireworks.

The opponent was forced back several steps by the force of the recoil, his face grim.

Bai Qi gathered his strength within, secretly channeling his inner power, preparing to counterattack. His opponent was a unique figure among the group of enemies, appearing exceptionally tenacious and indomitable. Yet, he smiled coldly and charged forward once more.

Just then, Han Fu came to her aid. Standing at a distance, she drew her longbow, concentrated her strength, and fired three arrows in quick succession with unparalleled precision.

The arrows flew like meteors, heading straight for the enemy. These three arrows were like divine soldiers descending from the sky, striking vital parts of the enemy and forcing them to fall to the ground.

Taking advantage of the enemy's defeat, Bai Qi mobilized his Qi, which erupted like thunder in an instant.

He became completely focused, as if he had created an invisible force field that swayed away all the enemies around him.

Seeing the enemy severely wounded, Bai Qi seized the opportunity in an instant, bravely charged out, his sword moving with his inner energy, swift and unstoppable, emerging from the enemy army once more.

As the shouts of battle gradually subsided and the murderous aura receded, Bai Qi, Han Xin, Han Fu, Situ Yan, and Xu Qiao were able to regroup and stand guard under the brightening moonlight.

After this fierce battle, everyone was panting and lost in their own thoughts.

The night wind blew through the mountains, brushing against their faces covered in sweat and dirt, and their heavy breathing gradually subsided.

Bai Qi lowered his eyes in deep thought, but he felt no relief. Although he had won the battle by chance, he knew that Li Si and Zhao Gao would not retreat easily, and that many lurking threats would still be waiting in the shadows.

However, through this battle in the dark night, Bai Qi and the others seemed to have grasped a profound truth: the opportunity for a breakthrough was hidden in the resolute and repeated struggles of "fighting with one's back to the river" and "being put in a desperate situation to survive".

Only in such perilous circumstances, with internal and external forces clashing and minds battling each other, can one perceive the profound and hidden principles of Taoism between heaven and earth.

Bai Qi took out the water pouch he carried with him, took a sip, and his expression remained as firm as ever.

He turned around, looked at Han Xin and the others, and said in a low voice, "Tonight is dawn, day and night are changing, we still need to continue our journey, but we must be even more vigilant."

Han Xin gripped the long sword at his waist, smiled slightly, and stood tall: "Having gone through this battle, our resolve has only grown stronger, and we will certainly not fail our future."

Han Fu gently pulled down his bowstring, seemingly relieved, his gaze resolute and calm: "This journey is fraught with uncertainty; only by bravely moving forward can we break free from our cocoons."

Situ Yan hummed a soothing folk song softly. She felt incredibly resilient inside and whispered, "With this night breeze singing this song, our path will be even more steadfast."

Xu Qiao then turned his gaze to the distance, his eyes filled with longing and awe for the future.

He firmly stated, "Although I am but a common man, I aspire to transcend worldly concerns. I hope to remain true to my original aspirations and be on par with you all."

On this journey full of challenges and opportunities, Bai Qi, Han Xin, Han Fu, Situ Yan, and Xu Qiao will all remember this battle of the underworld.

In every critical moment, they embraced victory with a death-defying resolve, grasping the essence of life.

As the eastern sky gradually turned a pale white, they looked up at the rising sun.

As the morning light shone, the five set off, their hearts filled with hope and faith for the journey ahead.

Although they know the road ahead is still fraught with danger, they are prepared after the baptism of the Battle of the Night. Even if they face stronger opponents and challenges from fate, they will move forward fearlessly and go all out.
