The Rebirth of Bai Qi: The Way of Qi

Chapter 195 Fireworks Rescue

In the boundless night, Bai Qi, Situ Yan, and Han Xin walked along the secluded path. The fragrance of lotus flowers seemed to drift faintly in the night mist, intoxicating them and making them feel relaxed.

Bai Qi walked at the front, carefully counting each step he took, but a nameless restlessness seemed to rise in his heart, as if he were about to face some unpredictable unknown.

His hand unconsciously reached for the jade pendant in his bosom, the slight warmth bringing him a sense of reassurance.

Situ Yan followed closely behind, her steps light, but her eyes revealed a thoughtful look.

Her delicate face looked exceptionally beautiful under the moonlight, like a tranquil ink painting.

She sang softly, unintentionally transforming the burdens and worries in her heart into a lingering melody.

Han Xin was walking at the back. He observed the movements around him, his sword-like eyebrows outlining a pair of imposing and heroic features, ready to deal with any situation that might occur at any time.

His fingers occasionally brushed against the ancient jade at his waist, a gesture that brought him intangible comfort and encouragement.

Unbeknownst to them, the three of them left the enchanting and mysterious Illusionary Lotus Realm and returned to the familiar yet strange world.

Occasionally, a few unidentified bird calls would drift through the night, and the surrounding area would fall silent, as if foreshadowing something.

Not long after they left, a chaotic roar of beasts suddenly rang out from all directions, the sound echoing like thunder in the night sky, deafening everyone.

Bai Qi and his friends looked in the direction of the sound and saw several enormous figures gradually emerging from the darkness of the surrounding forest.

Leading the way was a Kui Niu, its entire body flashing with eerie electric light, each step it took seemed to leave a shining mark on the earth.

Following the Kui Niu, there were several slender celestial foxes with deep, mysterious eyes, seemingly filled with curiosity about their prey.

Bai Qi composed himself, sensing the suddenness of the situation. After a moment's thought, doubt arose in his mind: Why had these spirits gathered here, and why had they launched such a sudden attack?

He glanced to the side, and Situ Yan's breath hitched suddenly, while Han Xin also secretly gathered his strength, preparing to respond.

"They've been taken control!" Situ Yan suddenly shouted, her voice tinged with anxiety.

Bai Qi was startled and immediately understood that the enemy must have used some kind of secret technique to control demonic entities in an attempt to cause trouble.

He secretly circulated his Qi in his dantian, but the slight vibration emanating from the spiritual pearl reminded him that he must proceed with caution.

At this moment, Han Xin drew his sword from his waist, and the scabbard made a crisp sound that was particularly jarring in the quiet night.

"Bai Qi, how should we deal with this?" His sharp gaze fell on his friend, and the trust he showed warmed Bai Qi's heart.

"Keep your composure and avoid their sharp edge," Bai Qi replied, showing no fear but speaking calmly with piercing eyes.

He felt every vibration of the spirit pearl and knew that he had to balance this power, or the consequences would be unimaginable.

However, the Kui Niu had already charged forward, its huge, blood-red eyes burning as if it wanted to destroy everything in front of it.

Bai Qi dared not underestimate his opponent, and in an instant, the power of the Spirit Pearl surged forth within his body.

He silently recited the incantation, clenched his hands, and used the power of the spiritual pearl to create a transparent barrier, which blocked the attack of the Kui Niu like a wave of water.

Although the first impact was successfully blocked, this was only the beginning.

Each of the beasts displayed its cunning and wild nature; if they came from four or five directions at once, they would surely cause Bai Qi and his men to be caught off guard and thrown into chaos.

Just at this critical moment, Han Fu suddenly arrived with a whoosh. She rode a swift yellow horse, looking heroic and spirited. She held a carved bow with three arrows already nocked on the string, the arrowheads gleaming coldly.

"Bai Qi, catch the arrow!" she shouted, drawing her bow fully, her voice filled with heroic ambition.

She kept her eyes fixed on the enemy without distraction, a precision bestowed upon her by her many honed experiences.

Bai Qi understood, and with a mighty wave of his hand, he concentrated the power of the Spirit Pearl into the wind in his palm, and suddenly pushed it out to meet the arrow shot by Han Fu.

The three arrows hit their targets, knocking back a celestial fox blocking their path. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Han Fu spurred his horse forward and charged into the monster horde with lightning speed, his arrows never missing their mark.

Seeing this, Situ Yan and Han Xin launched their attacks in succession. Situ Yan used humming to disrupt the enemy formation, while Han Xin, at her summons, used his sword to vanquish the surrounding ferocious beasts.

At this moment, the four of them became one, facing the sudden battle together.

Despite this, the enemy's momentum only intensified. As more and more monsters emerged, Bai Qi and his men gradually found themselves struggling.

Situ Yan was panting, a look of worry on her face. "Why is the enemy doing this? It's too strange."

Han Xin pondered for a moment, then swung his sword again and shouted to Bai Qi, "Li Si must be hiding by your side; this is a manipulation tactic!"

Don't let him succeed!

Bai Qi's sense of crisis deepened, and his mind, as clear as a mirror, immediately detected the slightest flaw.

With ferocious beasts swarming in, the power of the Spirit Pearl, though formidable, is difficult to sustain.

He kept his eyes peeled and remained calm despite the urgency.

"Situ Yan!" Bai Qi called out, his voice like thunder piercing the heart.

Tu Yan turned around and looked back, understanding Bai Qi's meaning. She quickly scattered several spiritual talismans around her, which were sealing techniques she was familiar with, to deflect the enemy's power.

Han Fu took the opportunity to provide cover from the side. Every shout she uttered and every arrow she fired was to buy her companions a moment to catch their breath.

Just then, a tall figure wearing a cloak emerged silently from the shadows. He had a cold expression and held a strange magical artifact in his hand, which he used to control many spirits.

He was Zhou Heng, a wicked puppeteer under Li Si.

As the crowd gradually gathered to attack, Zhou Heng's eyes flashed with ruthlessness, and a sinister smile appeared on his lips.

He shouted, and the dark light of the magic weapon in his hand surged, and several more monsters swiftly emerged.

Situ Yan was powerless to resist and saw danger looming over her.

Bai Qi was anxious, but in an instant, he calmed himself down, grasped the spirit pearl, and felt the power in the center burning fiercely within his body like a blazing flame.

He straightened up, his eyes blurry, and heard a deafening roar beside him as flames rose fiercely, captivating his soul.

Immediately, the sky seemed to part, and two blazing flames intersected, annihilating the monsters with unstoppable force.

Seeing that things were going badly, Zhou Heng's expression changed drastically, and he retreated in a panic.

Bai Qi shouted, "Use fireworks to drive the enemy away and retreat quickly!"

Han Xin, who was in charge, quickly waved to signal to the others. Han Fu understood and spurred his horse to gallop. The arrow flew like a flying arrow and pierced through the heart again. Situ Yan also used a talisman to restrain the terrifying evil power.

Only through the combined efforts of everyone were they able to escape danger successfully.

The beasts and flames fled in fear, allowing Bai Qi and his group to take advantage of the opportunity to retreat to a safe area.

Despite their exhaustion, the group wore expressions of relief, each leaning on their knees to catch their breath. They regretted not having enough strength to fully comprehend the enemy's treachery.

Although Bai Qi and his companions were still shaken, they encouraged each other: fortunately, they had not suffered serious losses. They still had hope for the future and would be able to make up for it.

Han Xin secretly lamented the assassination attempt by Li Si's camp, and they both agreed that the evil magic was difficult to subdue, but they still needed to continue refining their shared will.

Their gazes were fixed, conveying a tacit understanding and shared beliefs.

During this brief pause after the war, everyone gathered to plan the journey together. Each person was determined to face the difficulties of the future and to overcome the obstacles together.

Bai Qi lightly brushed the dust off his clothes, looked up at the deep night sky, and silently strengthened his resolve.

Han Fu, Situ Yan, and Han Xin gathered together and encouraged each other, as the dawn was still glimmering in the east.

Despite the numerous challenges and perilous situations ahead, making it a turbulent situation, the four remained fearless. They knew their unwavering resolve—to confront all the unknowns together with their will and effort; they were equally concerned about the future—they needed to unite with a stronger and more resolute vow to continue relying on each other. Though many troubles were inevitable, in this brief respite, they encountered courage and friendship, sharing responsibilities and operating anonymously without control.
