The group sat around the campfire, enjoying food and beer.

This time, Rick didn't separate from the crowd. Instead, he took Mieko to sit away from the group near the campfire.

Seeing that Maggie and Beth hadn't come to him but instead mingled with the main characters, Rick exclaimed, "Maggie and Beth are truly part of the main characters. Even though things are different from the original plot, these people still got together."

Mihoko, standing beside her, asked with a suspicious look, "Honey, what are you talking about? What's with Maggie and Beth, the main characters and the plot?"

Rick replied, "It's nothing, it's nothing. I was just kidding. I just saw that Maggie and Beth didn't take you with them, so I thought your sisterly relationship was just so-so."

Upon hearing this, Mieko shook her head and said, "No, I think this is fine. At least they won't steal my chance to be alone with my husband."

Hearing Mieko's words, Rick hugged her tightly and said, "Yes, I think it's just fine this way too. As long as you're by my side, I don't care about anyone else. My Queen~"

After Rick finished speaking, he kissed Mihoko on the cheek. A happy smile immediately appeared on Mihoko's face, and she returned the kiss. Almost everyone except the main characters saw what the two of them did, including Daryl and Moore who had just woken up.

One small fish said to another, "Oh my, look how close they are! It's giving me goosebumps."

Another small fry chimed in, "That's right, Boss Rick really dotes on this girl named Mieko."

Suddenly, another small fry chimed in, saying, "Hey, you guys think Rick's relationship with this Miss Mieko is much closer than that of those two sisters."

A nobody said, "I think this couple is really weird. Our boss Rick is 28 years old this year, while that girl named Mihoko is only 19 years old. There is a 9-year age difference between the two of them. At first glance, it is simply a modern version of the story of 'mature uncle falling in love with cold and beautiful girl'."

Another small fry responded, "Actually, looking at them this way, I think they're pretty good. At least they both have Asian faces, and Boss Rick is from that mysterious ancient Eastern country."

The small fry who suddenly appeared said, "Yeah, I heard that everyone in that mysterious ancient Eastern country knows martial arts. For example, that guy called Little Dragon from decades ago, wasn't he from the ancient Eastern country? I suspect Boss Rick must have heard of him. I just don't know who's stronger, him or Boss Rick."

Although Mihoko was leaning against Rick, she was listening to the small fry switch their conversation from her and Rick's story to some debate about who was stronger, the little dragon or Rick.

Hearing this, Mihoko smiled and said to Rick, "The people in your camp are quite interesting. They talked about everything from our story to who's better at martial arts, you or that Little Dragon. What do you think about that?"

Rick, upon hearing this, scoffed and hugged the beautiful girl in his arms, saying, "How do I see it? Of course I'm looking at it while hugging my beautiful wife. As for that Little Dragon they're talking about, I dare say he can't beat me right now."

Mihoko asked with a puzzled look, "Oh? Why? They seem to be having such a good time chatting. Is that guy called Xiaolong really that good?"

Rick continued dismissively, "I might not have been able to beat him before, but now I can defeat him with a single blow."

Rick wasn't joking. That dragon didn't have a system. How could it possibly fight Rick, who had a bunch of cheat codes? It was like an old man eating poison; it was asking for trouble.

Mieko then said with a mischievous grin, "Oh? You're that brave?"

Rick: "Just kidding, I'm super brave, okay?"

Mieko said with a sly and mischievous grin, "In that case, how about I see how brave you are tonight?"

Rick: "No! My dear wife, I was wrong. It really won't work tonight. Don't forget, I'm taking you to the city to see your mother tomorrow, and we also need to go to the CDC on the way. If you're like this tonight, I won't be able to get up tomorrow and it will cause problems."

Mieko thought for a moment and said, "It can't be that bad, honey. Are you that weak now? You can't handle it?"

Rick: "Just kidding, I'm super capable, okay? A man can't say he can't! It's a matter of dignity, Ms. Mieko."

Mieko: "Well then, Mr. Rick, let me see tonight whether you're really capable or just all talk and no action!"

Rick: "My kind, gentle and beautiful young lady, you don't want your husband to collapse from overwork tomorrow and delay the search for your mother, do you?"

Mieko: "Hmph~╭(╯^╰)╮~ I'll let you off the hook tonight, but if you do this again tomorrow night, you can forget about ever having any more~Hmph~╭(╯^╰)╮."

After Mihoko finished speaking, a woman with long brown hair walked over and sat down next to Rick and Mihoko with cakes and desserts.

This person was none other than Sean's wife, Lori. As Lori walked over and sat down next to her, Mihoko extended her hand in a friendly manner and said, "Hello, my name is Nohara Mihoko, I am Rick's wife, it's nice to meet you."

Lori looked at the black-haired girl with a ponytail in front of her and was stunned for a moment, then reacted and shook Mieko's right hand with her own right hand and said, "Hello, Miss Mieko, my name is Lori Wales, your husband's subordinate. Sean Wales is my husband. It's a pleasure to meet you."

And so, the two women, a middle-aged woman and a young girl, started chatting together, from food to new clothes, to gold and silver jewelry, and finally to whether their men were good in bed.

Listening to Lori's conversation with his wife Mieko, Rick felt superfluous in the room, so he headed toward the Tactical MTVR with a dozen beers and several skewers of barbecue.

On the tactical MTVR, Moore watched with envy as everyone ate, drank, and had fun at the campfire feast, while he could only stand there on guard, after all, this was his post.

Rick jumped onto the roof of the tactical MTVR with his belongings. Moore didn't notice Rick's arrival and continued to gaze enviously at the distant campfire.

Seeing this, Rick asked, "Are you envious? Do you want to go?"

Moore didn't notice Rick next to him. When someone asked him, he casually replied, "I'm envious. I want to go, but what can I do? I can only stand here and watch longingly."

After Mo'er finished speaking, he felt that the voice sounded familiar, so he turned his head and saw his boss looking at him with a look of disdain, as if he had done something wrong.

Upon seeing this, Moore immediately said, "Boss, I don't want to go. I just want to stay here and guard the camp!"

Rick chuckled and said to Moore, "You little rascal, fine, you go ahead. I'll watch over things here for you. Here, take this."

After saying that, Rick handed Moore a bottle of ice-cold beer and half a kebab.

Moore took the kebabs and beer, took a big gulp of beer and said, "Thanks, boss. I'll leave you tonight."

Having finished speaking

Moore was about to run towards the campfire when Rick stopped him and said, "Moore, there's an operation tomorrow. You need to come with me and drive this tactical MTVR. I hope you don't get drunk like last time and affect tomorrow's operation. This isn't a discussion; this is an order, understand?"

After listening, Moore turned around, stood at attention with a serious expression, saluted Rick, and replied, "Yes, Sir."

Rick waved his hand and said, "Alright, alright, go ahead."

Holding a beer and some kebabs, Moore ran towards the campfire, shouting, "Hey guys, the King of Beer, Moore, is here! Anyone who dares to challenge me today, I'll drink them under the table!"

Judging from Moore's cocky demeanor, Rick knew that Moore was bound to get very drunk.

Just as Rick was thinking about how to wake Moore on time tomorrow, Sean walked over from the watchtower.

Seeing Sean climb onto the roof of the tactical MTVR, Rick leaned against the M2HB heavy machine gun and looked at Sean as he approached, saying, "You're here?"

Sean paused for a moment, then said, "Yes, it's here."

Rick frowned slightly upon hearing this and asked Sean, "Is there something you need?"

Sean: "Yes."

Rick was speechless when he saw Sean like this. He couldn't understand why the man had become like this. It had only been a short time since he last saw him, so why had he become so taciturn?

Thinking of this, Rick said to Sean, "Sean, shut up! Don't fucking mess with me. Do you even look like a man anymore? You're just like a whiny woman."

Upon hearing this, Sean paused for a moment, took a few deep breaths to compose himself, and then said to Rick, "Boss, I have two things to discuss with you. One is about going to the CDC in Atlanta tomorrow, and the other is about Glenn."

Rick didn't say anything upon hearing this, but pulled out a bottle of chilled beer from the side and handed it to Sean.

Sean took the beer, gulped down a large mouthful, burped, and said, "Hiccup~ Boss, I'd like to take Lori to the CDC tomorrow, is that okay?"

Rick wasn't surprised by this; the main characters in the original series went to the Atlanta CDC, which included Sean and Lori.

Rick asked expressionlessly, "Oh? What's the reason? If you can't convince me, I won't take her. After all, it's a rather dangerous trip."

Seeing this, Sean said, "Boss, I want to try my luck at the CDC. If there's a living doctor who can give Lori a check-up, that would be great."

After listening to Sean's words, Rick thought for a moment, then nodded and said, "Alright then, you just need to protect your wife tomorrow, and you don't need to worry about anything else."

After hearing this, Sean looked at Rick with gratitude in his eyes and said, "Okay, boss, I will take good care of my wife. I will never be a burden to everyone."

Rick nodded, then said to Sean, "Okay, that's settled then. Now let's talk about Glenn."

Sean said, "It's like this, boss, I've noticed Glenn's got designs on the three wives you brought back."

Rick: "Oh? Tell me more."

Sean: "It's like this, this afternoon when you were having your meeting, Glenn kept staring at your dark-haired young wife. I suspect he's got designs on her."

Rick thought for a moment and said, "Don't worry, he's just been single for too long. He sees so many people in the camp finding their other half, while he's still single like the Dixon brothers."

Sean: "So, boss, what do you mean?"

Rick: "Call him here before the meeting tomorrow morning. I have something to say to him. I believe Glenn isn't the kind of person who would covet another man's wife."

Sean felt something was off about what he heard, and after thinking about it carefully, he realized that the more he thought about it, the more something seemed off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. However, something just didn't feel right. So he stopped thinking about it and said to Rick, "Okay, boss, I'll call him over before we assemble tomorrow morning."

Having finished speaking

Sean took the beer and returned to his post at the watchtower to continue his vigil.

Rick himself continued to stand guard for Moore at the tactical MTVR machine gun position.

Soon, the bonfire feast came to an end.

Everyone returned to their own tents to rest, even Maggie and Beth went back to their oversized tents.

Mihoko then came to Rick's side and asked, "Honey, where shall we sleep tonight?"

Rick returned to the tactical MTVR compartment and then took out a deluxe double bed from his personal storage space and placed it in the compartment.

Rick pointed to the large bed in front of him and said, "My dear wife, you'll have to sleep here tonight. Your husband will be standing guard for the brother of that bastard you knocked out."

Hearing such flirtatious words, Mihoko blushed and then said to Rick, "Well, honey, don't stay up too late, I'm going to sleep now."

Having finished speaking

Mihoko went to the large bed in the carriage, took off her white Japanese school uniform, and then changed into the ultra-thin and comfortable pajamas that her husband had exchanged for her before lying down to sleep.

Looking at the beautiful girl lying on the bed, it would be a lie to say Rick didn't have any thoughts. After all, he was a man, and besides, Mieko had said those things to him. With his current strength and means of survival, he could raise the child in his space without worrying about the child being in danger from the outside world.

But the thought that if Mieko really got pregnant, he wouldn't be able to do "that" for several months still made Rick feel uneasy. After all, his relationships with Maggie and Beth were just one-night stands. He just liked turning his one-night stand women into his wives, or even concubines. If these women got pregnant, he wouldn't do anything. At most, he would offer some verbal concern and provide some supplies. But if it was Mieko, it would be different. He would give her the best of everything. After all, there is only one person with whom you can share your life, and that person holds the most important place in your heart. No one can replace her.

With that in mind, Rick vowed that he would go to a baby store and loot some supplies when he had time, just to prepare for his own children.

And so, Rick chose not to continue his post, but returned to the large bed in the carriage, where he embraced his sweet and beautiful young wife and drifted off to sleep.
