Outside the Atlanta Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Rapid gunfire echoed throughout the street as countless zombies slowly made their way towards the CDC.

"Boom!"

A Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV was hit by a rocket and instantly blown into the air.

A mysterious Black man standing on the rooftop, holding an RPG-7 rocket launcher, fired at the location of Glenn's team.

However, the rocket he fired did not directly hit Glenn and the others, but the explosion caused by the rocket hitting the vehicle still sent Glenn and the others flying.

Glenn and T suffered concussions from the aftershocks of the explosion, and the two lay on the ground groaning, clutching their heads.

Seeing the two fall to the ground, the zombies in the distance rushed towards them.

Upon seeing this, the mysterious black man muttered to himself.

"Tsk tsk tsk, you're really lucky. This didn't kill you, but the zombies won't let you off the hook."

The mysterious man did not stay to observe any further; he abandoned the RPG-7 launcher and turned to leave.

Rick's voice came through Glenn's walkie-talkie.

"Glenn, Glenn, how are things going over there?"

Rick and Mieko were heading towards Glenn's neighborhood when they saw the vehicles that had been blown up ahead of them, and he immediately sensed something was wrong.

He called out to Mieko, who was standing next to him.

"Watch out, there are human survivor enemies."

Although Rick didn't see the enemy, he judged from the power of the explosion that the way the car exploded was very strange, very much like it was hit directly by a rocket and blown into the sky. Although all of this was just Rick's guess, he believed that his high-profile return must have attracted the attention of some gangster organization.

Upon seeing this, Mihoko materialized the Night Demon silenced sniper rifle.

She activated the heartbeat detector mounted on the gun, at which point five moving, jumping white dots appeared on the futuristic LCD screen.

One was beside him, two others were gathered not far ahead, and another was moving rapidly toward the eastern outskirts.

Seeing this, Mihoko said to Rick beside her.

"That white dot of light running east must be the culprit behind the explosion just now."

Rick nodded in response.

"I'm going to chase after that enemy. You stay here and help clear out the zombies. I'll come back later and give you a new toy."

Upon hearing about the new toy, Mihoko's eyes lit up again, and she readily agreed to Rick's arrangement.

Rick materialized the Night Demon silenced sniper rifle and, using the heartbeat detector, quickly chased after the enemy.

Mihoko transformed into a top-tier gunslinger, setting up her Night Demon silenced sniper rifle and headshotting the approaching zombies one by one.

Kocheta, carrying a Sega 12 combat shotgun on his back and holding an AR15 assault rifle in his hand, was shooting at the zombies that were approaching.

At that moment, his two other teammates were shooting at the zombies, and he himself was too busy to get away.

Even so, the constant stream of zombies made him feel extremely troubled.

"Hey, new guy, don't be so tense, relax. If you can't handle it, just tell Uncle Moore. I haven't had my fill of the SIG-MG338 yet."

Kochetta knew that this guy named Moore had come to show off his big toy again. Although Kochetta thought that his own thing was no worse than Moore's MG338, he was a gun enthusiast. What boy would complain about having too many powerful and cool toys?

Remembering Rick's promise, he suddenly stopped envying Moore. Rick had guaranteed that he would get an MG338. He decided that after this battle, he would ask Rick for one under the pretext of lacking heavy firepower, and Rick would definitely grant his request.

And so, the two chased and ran, one chasing and the other hiding, for 30 minutes. Finally, the enemy stopped by a wall at the end of a quiet street.

Rick stared at the heartbeat detector, and after confirming that there was only one target within 100 meters of him—the enemy in front of him—he took his VSSM Night Demon silenced sniper rifle and slowly approached the enemy.

"Aren't you tired of following me for so long, Rick?"

At that moment, the enemy, facing the corner of the wall, shouted at Rick, who was 50 meters away approaching him.

Rick was stunned for a moment when he heard this, then swaggered out with his gun in hand and retorted.

"The filthy things in the sewers are ultimately just beasts that can't stand the light of day."

"Hahaha, you really know how to describe people. Aren't you just like that too?"

Just as the enemy finished speaking, he turned around, removed the police officer's cowboy hat from his head and the red scarf from his face, revealing his true appearance.

Rick saw that it was a tall, black man with a uniquely designed silver-white Colt Python revolver on his waist. He recognized that revolver; it belonged to Karl's father, Grimes.

When the black man noticed Rick staring at him, he deliberately pulled out his Colt Python revolver and fiddled with it in front of Rick.

Seeing this, Rick roared and asked.

"You damned Brother Ni, who exactly are you? And where did you get that weapon and hat?"

Seeing that Rick was angry, the black man put his hands in his pockets and acted arrogantly. Taking advantage of Rick's inattention, he pressed the red button in his pocket, a small action that Rick obviously did not notice.

He answered neither humbly nor arrogantly.

"Heh, of course it came from a white police officer with the same name as you but a different last name."

Upon hearing this, Rick concluded that Grimes had definitely been captured by this black man or his accomplices, and that he had come here today to lure Rick into a trap.

He recognized the armed Humvee in front of him; it was the one Morales had driven. But the driver and the person operating the M2HB machine gun were no longer Morales and Andrea.

Rick uttered those words to the armed Humvee in front of him.

Just then, Rick noticed a white man standing in the position of the machine gunner in the armed Humvee, and Rick felt that he looked somewhat familiar.

After the vehicle stopped, the white man flipped down from the machine gun position of the M2HB on the roof of the armed Humvee.
