The executor [Servant] Arecino offered her critique of the mutual mockery between the two cunning individuals, "The Rooster" and "The Rich Man." She argued that "The Rooster" and "The Rich Man" were merely wealthy merchants and politicians using winter as an excuse to hide away, far inferior to Rosalyn, who tragically perished in a foreign land while carrying out the Queen's will. After briefly commemorating [the lady], [the captain] began inquiring about the missing Executor who had defected—"Scaramouche" (a transliteration of "Scaramouche," meaning "skipper")—and the person he was asking was Executor [Doctor] Dottore.

All the executors have made their appearance. Piero, the creator and commander of the Fools, the "Clown," slowly enters the hall from the darkness, facing all the executors, to offer his final eulogy for this winter night's funeral and farce:

The scene shifts to the exterior of the church. Under the starry winter night sky, where the aurora borealis shines, the magnificent Lady's Memorial Church and the coffin inside are quickly frozen, and everything returns to eternal peace.

Within the serene ice palace, the [Lady's] coffin was surrounded by layers of solid ice reflecting a beautiful light. A fluttering fire butterfly finally landed gently on the coffin, transforming into sparks and scattering away. Just as he had promised the girl then (a delusional thought) that he would lead her to witness the birth of a pure white, flawless kingdom, the [Clown] solemnly swore once more: "...Though you sleep eternally in this coffin, eternally within layers of solid ice."

“But, Rosalyn.”

"I promise you."

"Your coffin will be the entire 'Old World'."

The unjust old world will surely burn out, and the entire old world will be buried with it.

"Doctor, you look very young today."

"You know, that doesn't sound very flattering to me."

Where is that "slice" of its heyday now?
