I think my luck is turning around.

Chapter 137 Kidnapped Emotions

When An Ge is sober, she won't admit her feelings. After all, that's just who she is. Thoughts without rational guidance are not her own true choices.

Whatever she and Lin Jingqing did now was a drunken lapse in judgment, and she wouldn't blame anyone but herself. She would feel deep remorse, but it would only be self-inflicted anxiety, nothing more. Yet, this self-inflicted anxiety was already enough to kill her.

An Ge at this moment cannot be called An Ge. She no longer belongs to her own rationality; she has completely surrendered to her emotions and only follows her inner thoughts.

Now she won't refuse anything, whether it's money or people. Of course, An Ge has no money, absolutely no money. She had some small savings before she died, but now she's penniless.

Looking at An Ge leaning on his shoulder, Lin Jingqing was naturally overjoyed. No matter how bad An Ge's attitude had been before, now An Ge was right beside him, leaning on him.

"I love you."

"I know."

An Ge didn't give any direct answer. Even when she was drunk, she didn't want to make her feelings public. Perhaps she wasn't drunk at all, but was just hiding her true feelings and blaming alcohol for many things.

It's as if she's trying to blame certain actions on alcohol, as if she didn't do them at all. But ultimately, she's just deceiving herself!

An Ge closed her eyes and peacefully fell asleep. She was truly tired and wanted to sleep a little longer. But suddenly, her body was lifted into the air. An Ge knew she was being held. She didn't pay attention and simply lay quietly in Lin Jingqing's arms. At this moment, she felt safer than ever before. She had never been afraid of Lin Jingqing, nor did she particularly resist him; she simply didn't want to face this relationship that had "kidnapped" her.

It's like a girl being confessed to in public; she doesn't like the guy, but is too embarrassed to refuse, yet agrees under pressure from various sides. She's had enough after a month together, but what can she say about wasting so much of her feelings during that time?

I can't say anything! I told my roommates, and they were "accomplices" too! Even if I complain, there's nothing I can do. They've already been together, and her ex will always have had such a terrible person in him.

But now, An Ge is trapped in a dream. She finally managed to escape, but the person in the dream reappears, and even if she's still attracted to him, it's impossible! The self in the dream might not be able to control her emotions, but the real self can still decide her own heart. Whether it's an act or a lie, she can fool many people, including herself.

Perhaps they are still dreaming. They haven't woken up yet; it's still a dream, a dream without end.

The next morning, the sunlight was bright and clear, streaming into the room. An Ge woke up in bed. Alone in her bed, An Ge felt at ease. Nothing else should have happened last night. An Ge sat up, looking at Lin Jingqing lying beside her. Her expression remained indifferent, a mixture of emotions she couldn't quite grasp.

An Ge bypassed Lin Jingqing's position, got out of bed, walked to the door, and opened it.

The moment the door opened, sunlight rushed into the room, brightening what was originally a somewhat dark space.

An Ge looked at Lin Jingqing, who was still sleeping, and didn't want to say anything. She knew what she had done last night, but she couldn't change history or her actions. An Ge left the room first and went to the dining room according to her memory. The food was still being prepared, and An Ge didn't intend to stay. But at this moment, Butler Wang came over.

"Miss Si Mian, are you going to have breakfast later, or go straight back to Le Si Fang?"

Looking at the breakfast spread on the table, An Ge had no appetite. She always refused to eat the day after drinking alcohol the previous day.

"I'm going back now, please arrange a carriage for me!"

"Of course, please wait a moment, it will only take about fifteen minutes."

Such execution is truly impressive. An Ge stood aside and waited. After about ten minutes, the carriage was ready, and they could go back to Le Si Fang now.

An Ge didn't say anything, she just got into the carriage. She had no attachment to this place. An Ge remained silent the whole way until the carriage arrived at Le Si Fang.

An Ge got out of the car and entered Le Si Fang. As soon as she went inside, she saw Zhan Yu sitting there staring in the direction of the entrance.

"You're back!"

Zhan Yu's eyes lit up with surprise; she had been waiting for An Ge to come back! An Ge didn't say anything, but walked straight towards the kitchen, where things were still bustling about.

An Ge remained seated in the same spot, quietly, without uttering a word. The woman cooking nearby noticed but said nothing, continuing with her work.

After a flurry of activity, breakfast was ready. The eldest sister first served two bowls of white porridge to An Ge, and then added some side dishes.

An Ge buried her face in her hands, completely unaware of her older sister's actions. By this time, most of the people who were supposed to be eating had arrived. Only when everyone was almost there did her older sister sit down at the table.

"Little girl, don't be sad, come and eat something!"

An Ge's emotions were outwardly expressed, and everyone could sense them. An Ge lifted her face from her hands, looked at the older woman in front of her, and then at the food in front of her.

An Ge didn't refuse. She picked up her chopsticks and held up the bowl of porridge. She slowly took a sip. It tasted very simple, but An Ge didn't feel like eating.

With a sigh, An Ge put down what she was holding. The older woman across from her, who was eating her meal, also looked at the person who was sighing with a puzzled expression.

"Big sister, what's your last name?"

An Ge rubbed her eyes and looked at the older woman opposite her, who smiled.

"I don't have a surname, but everyone calls me Seventh Sister. You can just call me Seventh Sister like them."

An Ge didn't say anything. Her mind wasn't as chaotic as it had been last time, but it still wasn't letting her off the hook. An Ge didn't meet her seventh sister's gaze, but she noticed the marks on the cuff of her seventh sister's arm.

At first glance, it was a purplish-red mark. The seventh sister made no attempt to hide it, and when she noticed An Ge looking at it, she deliberately showed it to her.

“I’ve had this since I was little. They said it was there when they found me.”

After Seventh Sister finished speaking, An Ge remained silent, falling into a deep stillness. Seventh Sister was clearly an abandoned child herself! A lost child, no less. Putting aside everything else, there are so many lost people in this world!

An Ge stared intently at the mark, the red mark. What was wrong with her? She didn't know either; she just found it very strange.

"Seventh Sister, you should know who I am!"

An Ge's tone was uncertain, but she still asked cautiously. Seventh Sister smiled and said, "Of course I know. You are the most accurate fortune teller in this music hall! How could I not know?"

An Ge didn't find the rhetorical question inappropriate, but something still felt off.
