At the very bottom of the tomb, Lorraine and her teammates found the last of the Agamand family heirlooms.

A large, ancient-looking two-handed sword is sculpted in the hand directly in front of the tomb.

In front of the sculpture is a magic circle made of stacked skulls, and on the platform of the magic circle sits an urn emitting a ghostly glow...

"Where's the lich? Where's the book?"

"The book is on Clearwater Lake Island. Didn't you read the information the mayor gave you before you came? Strange, there's just a broken box here. Where's the lich? Is this fake news from Kuleman?"

Shrek looked down on the others for not reading the mission instructions carefully enough and not even understanding the mission objectives.

"That's not right. I did sense the aura of a powerful monster just now."

Lorraine nodded. "He even chatted with me!"

Where is the Lich?

"Is he hiding inside the wall?"

Tagore slammed his chainmail gauntlets against the tomb wall, producing a dull, resonant sound, as if the wall were truly hollow. He even pressed his nose against the wall and sniffed, oblivious to the fact that the deceased's facial features were already missing.

The five senses are very different from those of a living person.

All you can smell is the stench of death.

Lorraine glanced around, her gaze finally settling on the urn in the very center. Exquisite carvings, a chilling aura emanating from the cracks at the top of the urn.

The entire urn shimmered with a faint, emerald-green light; it might be a treasure.

Lorraine reached out to pick up the box.

"Don't move, back up!"

Just as he approached the bone pile formation, the five-pointed star on the ground emitted a black light. All the bones in the pile floated up, spinning rapidly, accompanied by white mist emerging from the urn.

Soon, a lich reconstructed from white bones appeared among the group.

The runic chains on the lich's body burned with ghostly flames, and despite being just a skeleton, the icy aura and ghostly spiritual energy emanating from its body spread across the ground.

White frost began to condense on the ground where it stood and spread outwards.

They cornered Lorraine and her companions against the wall.

Tagore even jumped onto the sword-wielding statue, cursing loudly while trying to pull the giant sword from the statue's hand.

He also did not forget that his goal for this trip was to collect all the heirlooms of the Agamand family.

"I, Davelyn Agamander, welcome you."

The lich issued a greeting, and the tomb doors slammed shut.

"Oh no, it's a trap!"

The lich was speaking in a polite, aristocratic tone just moments before, but in the blink of an eye, he had revealed his fangs.

"You dare challenge Lord Kel'Thuzad? You overestimate yourselves, my men! There's food for you!"

The lich closed the tomb's entrance, blocking Lorraine and the others' escape route.

The once sturdy tomb walls began to crumble with swarms of rotting zombies from top to bottom and left to right.

They were not much stronger than the hunchbacked zombies that Lorraine and his companions encountered on their way down to the tomb, but their numbers were endless.

It is unknown how many people are buried in this family cemetery.

Lorraine guessed that this must be the ancestral home of the Agamand family for eighteen generations, all of whom had been transformed into zombies and were not at peace.

Turning one's ancestors into puppets under one's control—that's something else entirely.

Besides using the corpses of his ancestors to besiege the Lorraine squad, the lich Deiflin continued to chant unknown magic.

It probably knows that these ordinary zombies are just experience packs, and the real big move still needs to be unleashed by it, the vanguard of the Scourge.

"Interrupt its spellcasting! Imprison it! Lilith."

Shrek calls upon the undead girl Lilith to release the bound undead.

In a panic, Lilith, being chased by a horde of zombies, unleashed Holy Light Punishment on the lich.

"resistance!"

"Oh no, it has resisted my binding spell."

If the skill level is too low, or the enemy's level is too high, the magic will be ineffective or less powerful. The lich appears to be a high-level monster.

Perhaps he is a rare monster; he has his own name.

Daefryn & Agamander joined the lich Kel'Thuzad, and he too became an undead lich.

This makes sense; liches can summon corpses to fight, and they are mages who are proficient in necromancy.

Legend has it that the lich's ice magic and death power were bestowed upon them by the first lich king, Ner'zhul, who twisted their souls, turning them into half-dead monsters.

"Teacher, there's no need for explanations at this point. Didn't you say you knew his weakness? You were the one who sent me into the tomb. Now, he's immune to my Frost Arrows. I can't break through his defenses at all!"

Lorraine was speechless; his teacher hadn't told him that liches were immune to ice magic.

"It's not that you're immune to ice magic. Liches just have very strong ice resistance. It's that your magical power is too weak and your damage is too low."

"Then how do we deal with it?"

In the few dozen seconds that the master and apprentice discussed the matter, their teammates had already fought several rounds against the lich.

The warrior Tagore drew the statue's greatsword and slashed at the lich, which appeared to be made of a pile of bones.

Its body surface is protected by an invisible ice shield, which cannot be broken by physical force alone.

"With so many undead zombies around, I can only bind ordinary zombies for a few dozen seconds. Resurrection? Resurrection requires preparing a magic circle, which can't be used during combat, and it requires a devout believer. Are you a follower of the Holy Light?"

Roland remembered that priests could cast resurrection spells, but they couldn't cast them in combat.

Lilith's skill level is definitely too low...

Shrek yelled at Lilith and Lorraine, "These two can't handle the lich, don't they know how to help clear out the surrounding zombie horde?"

He was being harassed by hordes of zombies, circling around them...

As the undead warrior Tagore was blasted away by the lich, he crashed heavily into the statue of the Agamand family's ancestor. The statue shattered into pieces, Lorraine's teammates were nearly swallowed by the horde of corpses, and his apprentice roared in fury:

"Teacher! What exactly is the lich's weakness? If you don't tell me soon, I'm afraid I'm going to be the one who dies first."
