Meeting you in autumn

Chapter 20 Confession

He was about to throw a punch at Chen Fang when the others finally reacted and rushed forward to stop him. Their faces were full of anxiety and tension as they tried to prevent the conflict from breaking out.

Looking at the agitated Feng Ming, Chen Feng felt a surge of anger. He frowned and said loudly, "Feng Ming, some things aren't as you imagine!"

His tone was firm and serious, as if he hoped to dispel Feng Ming's misunderstanding.

Shen Jia quickly chimed in, "Yes, Brother Yi is really pitiful..." Her eyes revealed sympathy and helplessness for Jing Yi, hoping that Feng Ming could understand their predicament.

"Heh~" Feng Ming let go of her hand and stepped aside. He subconsciously took out a cigarette, but then, remembering that this was a school, he cursed in annoyance and looked away.

Chen Feng patted Chen Fang on the shoulder and said softly, "Don't take it to heart, it's not your fault."

Chen Fang was also saddened and silently lowered his head. Guan Qing, who was standing to the side, was even more surprised by what had happened. Hearing Guan Yu's cries, she also felt a pang of sorrow.

After a while, the crying finally stopped in the classroom. Guan Yu leaned quietly against Jing Yi's chest, her body still occasionally trembling with sobs. Jing Yi held her tightly, constantly comforting and apologizing.

Guan Yu wiped away her tears, looked up at Jing Yi, her eyes filled with concern and heartache. She reached out and gently stroked Jing Yi's injured right cheek and forehead, softly asking, "A-Yi, does it hurt?"

Her voice trembled slightly, as if she was about to cry again.

Jing Yi quickly comforted her, "It won't hurt, Ayu." He looked at Guan Yu tenderly, his eyes full of love.

"Ah Yi isn't in pain, but my heart aches!"

"Ah Yi, can you promise me you won't get hurt again?"

She held Jing Yi's hand tightly, looking at him with pleading and expectation, her eyes revealing endless worry and concern.

Jing Yi felt Guan Yu's concern, and he nodded earnestly, promising, "Okay, Ayu, I promise you, I won't let myself get hurt again, and I won't let you worry about me anymore."

Guan Yu felt a little calmer after hearing Jing Yi's words, but she was still somewhat uneasy.

"So, Ayu, don't cry anymore. Look, you've cried your way through your face like a little kitten," Jing Yi said softly with a hint of a joke.

"Hmph, it's all your fault."

"Yes, yes, it's all A-Yi's fault. A-Yi made Xiao-Yu-er cry!" The person speaking gently coaxed the tearful woman in front of him.

Guan Yu sobbed, muttering in a slightly nasal voice, "I'm hungry..." She hadn't had breakfast this morning for some reason, and after crying for a while, her stomach was already rumbling.

"Okay, let's go eat now."

After saying that, he carefully reached out and gently tidied Guan Yu's slightly messy hair, then held her small hand tightly and slowly walked outside.

As soon as the two reached the door, they saw several people standing outside, each with a different expression and a gloomy face. They ignored each other, and the atmosphere was unusually tense.

Upon seeing this, Guan Yu was slightly taken aback and asked in surprise, "Haven't you all gone to eat yet?"

Upon hearing Guan Yu's words, Chen Feng snapped out of his daze and quickly replied, "Ah, uh, no, we're waiting for you here."

"Okay, let's go eat together then."

"Why don't we eat out? The cafeteria is probably empty at this hour," Guan Qing, who had been silent, suggested.

"Yes, okay..." Everyone echoed in agreement.

So the group headed out of the school in a grand procession, intending to find a delicious restaurant to enjoy a hearty meal.

When they finally found the restaurant, ordered their food, and sat comfortably at the table, Feng Ming, whose face had been as cold and aloof as ever, slowly turned his gaze toward Jing Yi.

He frowned and questioned in a serious tone, "How did you get all these injuries? Don't tell me it was from a fall, I won't believe a word of that nonsense!" With that, he abruptly turned his head away and looked elsewhere.

Jing Yi did not immediately respond to Feng Ming's question. Instead, she turned her head and looked at Guan Yu beside her.

At this moment, Guan Yu was also staring at him intently, her eyes filled with concern and questions. Clearly, she too was eager to know who had beaten her A Yi like this; if she found out, she certainly wouldn't let that person off easily.

After a moment of silence, Jing Yi's expression suddenly became extremely solemn, even terrifyingly gloomy.
