Shi Wanxia and Cui Yu'an were observing the situation below from the tree when suddenly they saw Shen Yanchu collapse to the ground without warning. A wave of panic washed over them.

Without hesitation, Cui Yu'an leaped down from the tree with Shi Wanxia and quickly arrived at Shen Yanchu's side. They anxiously examined his condition and found that the poison had taken effect and his internal energy was almost completely depleted.

Shi Wanxia's face turned pale. She looked at Cui Yu'an anxiously, her eyes filled with worry. Cui Yu'an remained calm, took a deep breath, and decided to use his internal energy to heal him.

He placed his hands on Shen Yanchu's back and slowly channeled his inner energy into her. Shi Wanxia watched nervously from the side, her hands clenched tightly together, silently praying that Shen Yanchu would be safe and sound.

As time passed, fine beads of sweat appeared on Cui Yu'an's forehead, but he persisted in channeling his inner energy into Shen Yanchu. Finally, Shen Yanchu's body trembled slightly, and he slowly opened his eyes.

When Shi Wanxia and Cui Yu'an saw him wake up, a huge weight was finally lifted from their hearts. They sat down on the ground, exhausted, panting heavily.

"Thank you, Yu'an," Shen Yanchu said weakly.

Cui Yu'an smiled slightly, "No need to thank me, we are friends."

Cui Yu'an's complexion wasn't much better. He had poured all of his remaining internal energy into Shen Yanchu's body, and now his face was pale and weak. The two quickly sat cross-legged to meditate and regulate their breathing.

Shi Wanxia stared at the dozen or so wolf corpses on the ground, their bodies covered in fatal sword wounds, scattered haphazardly around them, the stench of blood growing ever stronger. This stench might attract large beasts; the two of them needed to recover quickly, or they would have nowhere to escape.

Shi Wanxia's heart pounded like a drum, her eyes fixed on the tiger that was gradually approaching.

The tiger's body was enormous and powerful, its fur shimmering with a golden sheen in the moonlight. Its eyes, bright as lanterns, exuded a cold and majestic aura.

Shi Wanxia took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She knew that deep in this dense forest, facing such a ferocious beast, she had to remain vigilant. She slowly backed away, trying not to make any noise so as not to provoke the tiger.

However, the tiger seemed to have sensed her presence. It quickened its pace and let out a low growl. Shi Wanxia's heart skipped a beat; she felt an invisible pressure bearing down on her.

She gripped the dagger tightly in her hand, ready to respond to the tiger's attack at any moment.

Just then, the tiger suddenly stopped. Its gaze shifted to the bloodstains beside it, seemingly more interested in the smell of blood.

Shen Yanchu and Shi Wanxia also woke up and took the opportunity to quietly go around to the back of a big tree and hide.

Her heart was still pounding, but she knew she had to wait for an opportunity to escape. The tiger continued to sniff the ground, getting closer and closer to where the three were hiding. Shen Yanchu was no longer able to use her internal energy to fight off the tiger.

"Zhizhou, let's hide in the tree first and wait for the tiger to leave. Our skills aren't up to par right now, so we can't deal with this huge tiger."

Cui Yu'an whispered in Shen Yanchu's ear that a direct confrontation was not the solution at the moment. They should avoid the tiger's sharp edge. Their skills had not yet recovered, and they could not be sure if they could deal with this fierce tiger.

Shen Yanchu nodded, put his arm around Shi Wanxia's waist, and leaped up into the tree. Cui Yu'an followed closely behind, but the tiger sensed their barely perceptible movements.

In the dense forest, the three men nervously hid in a large tree. Their heartbeats and breathing were exceptionally clear in the silence.

Suddenly, the tiger leaped up and stood guard under the big tree, sniffing the surrounding air as if searching for something.

The tiger's eyes exuded a majestic and ruthless aura, sending chills down their spines. It occasionally let out a low roar, which shook the entire forest. The three clung tightly to the tree trunk, afraid to make a sound, lest they attract the tiger's attention.

Time ticked by, but the tiger remained beneath the tree, showing no sign of leaving. The three were filled with fear and despair; they had no idea how to escape the ferocious tiger.

Shen Yanchu saw the tiger circling under the tree and wanted to leap up and attack it.

Just as he was about to take action, Cui Yu'an and I reacted quickly and grabbed him tightly.

"Are you crazy? That's a tiger! How could the three of us, who are as weak as chickens, possibly handle it!"

Shi Wanxia gripped his arm tightly and whispered, trying to bring him back to his senses.

Cui Yu'an also said anxiously, "Calm down! We can't act rashly, otherwise the consequences will be unimaginable."

A hint of hesitation and fear appeared on Shen Yanchu's face. After thinking for a moment, he stopped and did not take any action. He concealed his aura and stared at the tiger pacing under the tree.

Time ticked by, and the tiger showed no sign of leaving, instead lying down under the tree. The three men inwardly groaned, but dared not make a move. They knew that tigers had extremely keen hearing and smell, and the slightest carelessness would alert it.

After an unknown amount of time, the tiger finally drifted off to sleep. Shen Yanchu and Cui Yu'an exchanged a glance, a resolute glint in their eyes. They tacitly used their lightness skills, and like two wispy leaves, silently flew away from the tree.

In the air, their figures vanished swiftly into the forest like ghosts. Only when they were far away from the tiger's threat did they breathe a sigh of relief.

Shi Wanxia spread out the straw mats before helping the two of them sit down. These two guys really are like two minutes of fighting, five hours of recharging! With that kind of stamina, no wonder they were ambushed and killed.

Shen Yanchu and Cui Yu'an were unaware of Shi Wanxia's thoughts; otherwise, they would have rolled their eyes. The two of them sat cross-legged to meditate and recover their strength, while Shi Wanxia couldn't hold on any longer and fell asleep.

The morning sunlight shone on her face as Shi Wanxia got up with dark circles under her eyes. Last night, she encountered a pack of wolves and a tiger. She kept dreaming that the tiger and the wolf were chasing her and that she almost died several times. She was so scared that she couldn't sleep well all night and kept hiding from the tiger.

After washing up briefly by the river, Shi Wanxia used a pot to fetch some water and returned to the campsite. Shen Yanchu and Cui Yu'an also finished their practice and got up.

"You're awake. Are you feeling better? We still have to keep going. Are you alright?"

When Shi Wanxia saw that the two of them were awake, she looked at them with delight and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that they were in better spirits than yesterday.

"It's alright. Wenzhu and I will go to the river to wash up first. You've worked hard, Miss. We shouldn't stay here any longer. Let's leave as soon as we finish eating, since there are tigers around here."

Shen Yanchu took Cui Yu'an to the riverbank. Shi Wanxia quickly started preparing breakfast, which was just mushroom soup with some dried meat; there was nothing else to eat.

After the three finished eating, they continued on their journey. Along the way, Shi Wanxia collected all the valuable and rare medicinal herbs she could find, stuffing her backpack full of them. Fortunately, her backpack was large, otherwise it wouldn't have been able to hold them all.
