Moonlit Calamity: The Dragon Girl's Life of Idleness is Broken
Chapter 3 Crossing
"Alright, that's enough for now. Put me down. I have a way to get out of here. Remember what I said: when you get back, don't interfere in my affairs, understand?"
“Okay, I’ll see you to the front and then leave,” Qianyang said after a long silence. “Chu Qing… I’m sorry, I couldn’t help you with anything.”
"What are you saying? Aren't you helping me? Thank you."
"Take care, goodbye," Long Chuqing said, glancing at Qianyang before transforming into dragon energy and flying away.
He felt utterly useless, unable to help her at all, and even causing her such serious injury. Qianyang looked in the direction Long Chuqing had gone and sighed deeply, "Take care."
Long Chuqing flew through the air, put the Phoenix Feather Sword into the Void Realm, pulled out the Phoenix Hairpin from his head, bit his finger and dripped blood onto the Phoenix Eye of the hairpin, then threw it forward.
A vortex slowly appeared in the air, inside which was a time tunnel. As long as they went in, they could escape Yin Xiao's pursuit.
In a short time, they will not be able to find out which time and space she is in.
At this moment, Yin Xiao caught up and saw that Long Chuqing was about to step into the time tunnel. Yin Xiao quickly struck out with a palm infused with spiritual power, which hit Long Chuqing in the back. Long Chuqing was caught off guard and fell forward heavily, spitting out a mouthful of blood, and fell into the time tunnel.
As Long Chuqing entered the time tunnel, the vortex disappeared. Yin Xiao watched helplessly as the vortex vanished before his eyes, his face filled with sorrow, anger, and powerlessness.
Yin Xiao grew angrier the more he thought about it, even though she had escaped and so many heavenly soldiers had been lost. But there was no use in being angry; they could no longer track her down.
"Let's go," he finally said, turning away angrily.
As everyone left, the night returned to silence, the moon slowly rose, illuminating the lonely mountains, and the occasional chirping of insects and calls of birds could be heard.
Qianyang watched as Long Chuqing and the departing entourage quietly disappeared into the night.
At this moment, Long Chuqing, who was lying in the time tunnel, struggled to stand up. Due to his serious injuries and mental turmoil, a vortex of chaos appeared in the tunnel.
She wanted to go back to the modern world, where she had a stable house and could recuperate in peace. But now the place was in chaos, and she couldn't tell where the entrance was.
She stumbled around inside, searching for a while, and finally found the light that led back to the modern world. Just as she was about to walk towards it, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her chest, a wave of dizziness washed over her, and she swayed precariously. She forced herself to walk forward, trying to reach the entrance back to the modern world, because once inside, she could go straight into her modern home.
But her body wouldn't obey her commands; she fell down, rolled to the side, and was instantly swept into the whirlpool beside her.
"Damn it," Long Chuqing thought to himself in despair.
She was unable to move, letting the vortex spin around her and her stomach churn.
After a moment of dizziness, I was thrown out of the vortex, appeared in the air, spun around a few times, and then fell vertically headfirst.
Her body plummeted rapidly. She slightly opened her eyes, her body passing through the clouds. Falling like this would leave her either dead or crippled. In her semi-conscious state, Long Chuqing softly called out, "Flying Phoenix."
The phoenix hairpin in her hair emitted a faint golden light, wrapping around Long Chuqing's body.
It then crashed onto a rooftop, rolled a few times, and fell into a backyard.
Because the space-time tunnel was forcibly opened earlier and the damage had not yet been repaired, the Phoenix Hairpin only helped her absorb some of the impact.
As he fell, his left calf hit the edge of the flower bed, followed by a crisp cracking sound. He then collapsed to the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. His head hit the ground, and he was completely unconscious. Broken tiles were scattered all around him.
She fell into an ancient dynasty in a parallel universe, the Great Qi.
At this moment, the old woman who was cleaning in the backyard heard the noise and came over cautiously with a lantern to investigate.
Upon approaching, and seeing a woman lying on the ground with blood-stained clothes, he gasped in shock and fell to the ground in fright.
The lantern that had fallen to the side immediately burst into flames, its flickering light instantly illuminating the surroundings.
When she came to her senses, the old woman crawled over shakily and checked Long Chuqing's breath. "He's alive, still alive."
She hurriedly got up from the ground and ran straight to the front yard, shouting as she ran.
Before long, a group of people arrived and surrounded Long Chuqing, looking her over.
"I was bending over, cleaning up the trash I'd collected that afternoon in the yard. I'd just stood up when I looked up and saw a dark shadow fall swiftly from the sky. Then I heard a 'thud,' followed by the sound of tiles clattering to the ground. It scared me to death!" The old woman described the scene vividly to everyone, her voice trembling.
“She fell from the sky.” She looked up and pointed to the sky again.
The crowd was skeptical of the old woman's fantastical story, feeling that there was some exaggeration involved. Who would believe that someone would fall from the sky? It would be more believable if they said they fell from the roof.
Let's just assume she's old and her eyesight isn't good, and we won't argue with her, since no one else saw it with their own eyes except her.
The madam pointed to the servant beside her and said, "Go and turn her over so I can take a look."
"Light the lamps!" As the light shone closer, everyone could see that Long Chuqing's face was pale and there was still blood on the corner of his mouth. Perhaps he had rubbed himself on the tiles and the dust on the ground, making his face dirty and disheveled.
"Judging from her delicate features, she must be quite good-looking," said a girl watching the commotion, covering her mouth with her handkerchief.
The madam instructed her servants, "Move her to the side room in the backyard," and then said to the old woman, "Go and change her clothes and tidy her up."
The old woman looked at her injuries and then at the madam, asking cautiously, "Should we call a doctor to take a look at her?"
He's suffered such a serious injury, he won't survive without treatment! There's no point in keeping him alive.
After a moment's thought and weighing the pros and cons, the madam said, "Let the female doctor come and take a look at her. She looks pretty good; if she's cured, she might be able to make me some money." She then added, "If she's beyond saving, just leave her alone and throw her out to avoid getting into trouble."
“Yes…” everyone accepted the order.
"Disperse, disperse! Girls, go back and get ready." The madam waved her handkerchief, dismissing the crowd.
Yuexi Tower, the largest den of iniquity in the capital, is a gentle haven where men linger and never want to leave.
The front yard was brightly lit, a gathering place for poetry, songs, dances, and banquets. Here, beaded curtains swayed gently, and melodious music filled the air, with romantic tunes echoing in the air. The magnificent hall was adorned with colorful murals, making the entire space even more enchanting.
The faint scent of perfume makes one feel as if they are floating on clouds, as if in another world.
People of all kinds were busy greeting guests, serving dishes, giving tips, and welcoming and seeing off guests.
The madam greeted the guests warmly, her smile gentle and her demeanor sophisticated; she always managed to deal with all sorts of people with ease.
In the backyard, the old woman helped Long Chuqing remove her blood-stained clothes and wipe her body, while the female physician treated her wounds. She had several wounds, but none were serious. The wound on her shoulder was relatively deep, but the most serious was her internal injury.
After the madam finished attending to the front yard, she went to the back yard to see Long Chuqing. She had washed away the dirt, and although her eyes were closed and her face was pale, the fiery red dragon tattoo between her eyebrows was particularly noticeable on her pale face. Even without makeup, she was still stunningly beautiful.
The madam was overjoyed and exclaimed excitedly, "This...this girl is so stunningly beautiful!"
Looking at the smiling madam, the old woman said, "Head Madam, she's still a virgin!"
After she finished speaking, the madam laughed even more heartily.
Isn't this practically giving her money directly? If it really fell from the sky, then it's truly a windfall, she's incredibly lucky!
Seeing the madam grinning from ear to ear, the old woman tugged at her sleeve and said, "It's just that the flower decoration between her eyebrows can't be washed off; I wonder if it's tattooed on."
Hearing the old woman say this, the madam withdrew her joyful smile and carefully examined Long Chuqing's floral headdress. "Can't it be washed off?"
The old woman said, "It's been washed several times and it's turned red, but it hasn't come off."
The madam dampened a handkerchief and rubbed it on the flower-shaped ornament. Sure enough, the color didn't fade. But she wasn't worried and laughed, "Never mind, it looks very pretty."
She turned to the female doctor and asked, "How is her injury?"
"Reporting to the steward, her external injuries are not serious, but her internal injuries are not very optimistic."
Upon hearing this, the madam asked anxiously, "Is there any danger to his life?"
Hearing the pessimistic news, she became worried. She had just been happy, only to be met with another setback. Such a beautiful woman was one of a kind in the capital. If she could be saved, the business would surely be booming. She couldn't let her die. Once she entered Yuexi Tower, she would belong to Yuexi Tower.
