Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is an early work by Hayao Miyazaki, but it is also a work that embodies half of his life's work. Whether it is the later Princess Mononoke or the earlier Castle in the Sky, the shadow of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind can be seen.

The story begins with the development of civilization and technology. This lost world once had an extremely advanced civilization, as brilliant as the moon in the starry sky, just like Laputa.

This civilization, like Laputa, eventually disappeared into the long river of time. However, its end was not as dignified as Laputa's; it rose in desire and perished in desire.

The civilization of the previous era certainly did not want to perish so easily, so like Laputa, they were equally unwilling, equally regretful, and equally eager to welcome someone like Muska at the right moment, waiting for the reawakening of their ideas to revive.

The story begins in the Valley of the Wind, a remote town in a Dorumechia allied nation, or satellite nation.

The Valley of the Wind has a very special geographical location. To the north is the boundless forest and the Sea of ​​Decay, and to the south is the turbulent ocean. The saying goes that you live off the land and the sea, but the Sea of ​​Decay and the ocean, which have been consumed by humans for thousands of years, seem to be somewhat unwilling. Now they have begun to eat humans.

In the tranquil Sea of ​​Decay, the insects remain nature's darlings, frolicking in the forest. Although the Sea of ​​Decay is hell for humans, it is paradise for these insects.

Today, Paradise welcomed an uninvited guest: an aircraft slowly flew towards them, filling the void of the birdless Sea of ​​Decay. The girl moved like an elf among the crystal forest.

"Ah! Great, we found it!!"

Nausicaä descended slowly, wearing a red hoodie on top and tight pants on the bottom. Of course, this wasn't to satisfy some perverted old man! This streamlined outfit was simply more conducive to flight. (Okay! The old man is a man too!)
